    Reene took a deep breath. "Today, the Keans contacted me out of the blue and wanted to hand


    over Opulence Co. to me! That''s the most profitablepany in Kean Corporation. Should I ept


    it, Kingsley?"


    A soft smile appeared on Kingsley''s face. "Of course, you should. This is the greatest deal ever!"


    "But… Why would the Keans be so… generous?" She was excited and worried at the same time.


    "Are they really giving me such an expensive gift simply because of the failed matchmaking? Aren''t


    they being a little too kind? I''m worried that there''s a catch. It will be horrible if it''s yet another


    reenactment of when rence asked me to take over rk Corporation. It looks shiny from the


    outside but is actually rotten on the inside!"


    Kingsley pursed his lips as he analyzed, exining, "Given Kean Corporation''s strength, I don''t


    think they would do something as despicable as rence. I''m pretty sure that you have all to gain


    and nothing to lose by taking over Opulence Co."


    She gradually set her heart at ease after listening to his advice because she had absolute trust in


    him. "Okay, I''ll take your advice, then!" She breathed a long sigh of relief. "It looks like I''m a step


    closer to my dream of being the most capable career woman."


    He was delighted when he saw how high-spirited she was. "Reene, I''ve told you that your career


    will only keep getting better!"


    A smile spread across her face. "Since you''re such a sweet-talker, I''m going to prepare a delicious


    dinner for you. I''ll let you know once it''s ready," she said and went downstairs in light steps.


    He shook his head and returned to the bed with a grin on his face. Then, he grabbed his phone and


    phoned Andrew.


    When Andrew picked up the call, Kingsley heard him taking a deep breath and impatiently


    demanding, "Who''s this?"


    "It''s me."


    "Dr. Nicholson?!" Andrew immediately recognized his voice. His demeanor did aplete 180 as


    he babbled, "I-Is something the matter?"


    "Make sure your schedule is free tomorrow. I have something to ask you."


    Although Andrew could sense the authoritative tone in Kingsley''s voice, he still said hesitantly, "T-


    Tomorrow? May we meet in a couple of days instead, Dr. Nicholson?"


    All of a sudden, Kingsley''s voice turned indifferent. "When I treated Old Mr. Kean, I clearly told you


    that I have questions for you. What? Are you going back on your words now?"


    "No, that''s not what I mean," he hastily denied. "The thing is… My face is swollen from Grandpa''s


    beating and it''s so… embarrassing if I leave the house tomorrow."

    Kingsley fell silent and finally understood why Andrew drew in a deep breath earlier when he picked


    up the call; he was probably in pain! Unfortunately, this was none of Kingsley''s concern because he


    had no time to lose when the matter of spies was concerned and couldn''t wait until Andrew


    recovered from his swelling.


    "Tomorrow at 9.00AM, I''ll see you in the cafe on the first floor of Neveah Department Store."


    When Andrew realized that there was no way he could make Kingsley reconsider, he didn''t bother


    arguing further and agreed. "Okay, Dr. Nicholson. I-I''ll be there on time tomorrow."


    By the time he finished setting up the appointment, Reene was almost done with dinner preparation


    as well, and after they enjoyed their dinner together happily. Then, he went to bed early with a full


    stomach. Early the next day, soon after Reene went to work, Kingsley got ready and drove himself


    to the Neveah Department Store.


    He didn''t leave the house with her because he didn''t want her to know that he was connected to the


    Keans. Since he also nned to visit Mason, he had chosen to meet Andrew at the Neveah


    Department Store and found a spot facing the entrance of the cafe when he was there.


    He checked the time on his watch and saw that there were still about fifteen minutes to 9.00AM. So,


    he decided to enjoy a cup of coffee while waiting for Andrew to make his appearance.


    A few minutester, a person with a branded scarf wrapped around his head appeared at the


    entrance of the cafe, acting suspiciously as he poked his head in.
