Chapter 530 Kindness or Stupidity?
In the underworld of Sris Province, all the scattered forces were ultimately under themand of
Jarett and the Seven Legends, if traced back.
The remaining unaffiliated small-time crooks were of no significance.
After Kingsley had asked such a question that showed his understanding of the underworld
systems, the man on the line clearly panicked for a moment. "Y-You just wait!"
Immediately, the man shouted loudly, "Axel! Axel! We''ve got a situation here!"
A short whileter, a rough voice answered the phone.
"This is Axel Collier. I work for Master Quintana. Who are you? Which gang are you from?"
"Master Quintana? You''re Zion Quintana''s man?" A hint of coldness shed in Kingsley''s gaze.
"Son of a b*tch! Who are you to call Master Quintana by his full name?!
"Anyway, who the hell are you? I dare you to reveal your identity!" yelled Axel angrily.
Kingsley snickered. "My surname is Nicholson, and you''d better remember it."
After that, he hung up the phone.
He also blocked that phone number.
Seeing this, the olddy asked in a shaky voice, "What''s going on? I didn''t understand anything you
just said on the phone. Can I still receive my prize money?"
Kingsley helped her up from the ground, answering, "That man on the phone said there''s no need
for the transfer fee anymore."
"Really? That''s wonderful!"
The olddy held Kingsley''s hand and continued, "Young man, you''re very kind! I''m sorry for the
trouble earlier... I didn''t mean to dy your deposit. I was just so desperate...
"You see, my husband passed away long ago, and we don''t have any children. I just want to get the
prize money to make my remaining days a bit morefortable..."
As she spoke, tears welled up in her clouded eyes.
At the same time, hearing her words, the people around couldn''t help but feel sympathy.
Even those who had criticized her earlier sighed and stopped pressuring the poor olddy.
Kingsley asked the olddy, "Did that man tell you how much the first prize is worth?"
"Yeah, he did." The olddy wiped her tears. "He said it''s 70 thousand."
Kingsley signaled to Trevon at the counter.
"Manager Levine, can the prize money be transferred to this madam''s ount if she provides you
with her ount details?"
Trevon was momentarily taken aback but quickly understood the situation.
"Sure, we have a partnership with the TV station. Once she provides her bank ount number, she
will be able to receive the prize money!"
At this moment, the Gold Card belonging to Kingsley was in Trevon''s hands.
Trevon realized that Kingsley must have intended to transfer 70 thousand of his own money to the
olddy''s ount as her prize money.
Meanwhile, the olddy''s face lit up with joy as she tremblingly handed her savings passbook to
Trevon. "Do I need to tell you the password?"
"No need, no need." Trevon waved his hands and advised, "You should keep the password to
yourself. Neither I nor anyone else should know it."
Somewhat understanding, the olddy nodded. "Sure, sure. I''ll remember that. You young people
are knowledgeable. I''ll take your word for it."
Trevon took the old and worn-out passbook, then turned to Kingsley to ask, "70 thousand, correct?
Should I make the transfer now?"
Kingsley nodded.
With aplex expression, Trevon pursed his lips. While processing the transaction on the
computer, he silently contemted in his mind.
Is Mr. Nicholson being kind or foolish?
I''ve met many rich folks, but this is my first time seeing someone give 70 thousand to a random
stranger!
A short whileter, Trevon returned the passbook to the olddy.
"Ma''am, take a look at the bnce. It''s over 77 thousand now. Please keep your passbook safe. Or
perhaps… would you like to get a bank card?"
The olddy looked at her passbook, trembling with excitement.
"No, I only know how to use the passbook, not a bank card. Thank you though. Thank you all."N?vel/Dr(a)ma.Org - Content owner.
