The explosive sound was deafening, as if the earth itself was shaking. I watched in horror as the entire
floor-to-ceiling window near the front door of my house copsed, scattering shards of ss all over the
foyer.

Hannah''s first reaction was to grab me and swiftly move us out of the living room, up to the second
floor. I was practically tucked under her arm as she carried me up the stairs.

she turned on her heel and swiftly ran back downstairs.
I huddled in the small sitting room upstairs, shivering. The sudden explosion had unnerved me, my

Soon, Hannah was back by my side, assessing my condition. "Ms. Wilburn, are you alright?"
