Chapter 1188 The Bandit Manifesto

    Chapter 1188 The Bandit Manifesto

Julien and Zach trailed a man to the exclusive floor of the inpatient building at the James Hospital.

Once out of the elevator, the man halted. "Mr. Flint, I can''t apany you further. The person you

seek is in that ward. You''ll have to proceed alone."

"Go ahead." Julien dismissed him with a wave of his hand.

He understood why the man couldn''t escort him further.

Dallin was to remain in Port City for a while, and the man had to keep an eye on Dallin.

If he led them to the ward, Dallin would see him.

That way he wouldn''t be able to watch Dalli again.

That was why he couldn''t continue to lead the way,

"Well then, see you around, Mr. Flint." The man bowed before entering the elevator.

Now that they had figured out Dallin''s location, Zach took the lead, guiding Julien through the

    corridors.

Upon reaching the door to Dallin''s ward, he paused. "Mr. Flint, here we are."

Julien didn''t speak. He just narrowed his eyes and gazed at the closed door.

Behind it was his mortal enemy.

"Knock," hemanded, his voice as cold as ice.

Zach nodded and rapped on the door.

It was a tant disy of disrespect, but in their eyes, the person inside didn''t deserve their

    courtesy.

Their visit was already considered an honor for Dallin.

In fact, they could have just battered down the door, regardless of the James family''s reputation.

Inside the ward, Dallin was in the middle of having his wounds redressed by his assistant.

The sudden knock startled him, causing him to jerk and strain his wounds. He grunted in pain and

turned even paler. A cold sweat immediately broke out on his forehead.

"Boss, are you alright?" Neil asked with concern.

Dallin couldn''t respond because the pain was too intense. He clenched his teeth and shut his eyes,

forcing himself to endure until the wave of agony passed.

Neil, seeing he could do nothing to help, quietly stood off to the side. He didn''t dare utter a word,

fearing that any sound might upset his boss.

After a while, the pain subsided a little, and Dallin heaved a sigh of relief.

His temples stopped throbbing, and his furrows were unknitted.

Dallin opened his eyes, sinking back against the pillow propped up at the head of the hospital bed.

His brooding gaze fell on the door, and his voice was filled with resentment. "Go open the door.

Let''s see who is so rude to bang on my door. I''ll ensure that his hands can''t hold a fork."

"Yes, sir," Neil responded, swiftly moving toward the door.

As the door swung open, he prepared to give the intruder a piece of his mind.

But the sight of the people outside the door froze him in his tracks.

    ''How could it be them?''

The sight of the expressionless Julien and the smirking Zach drained the color from Neil''s face. His

grip on the door handle tightened involuntarily.

    "You..."

Neil had barely found his voice when Zach interrupted him.

With a deliberate wave of his hand, Zach greeted Neil, "Hello."

He sounded so friendly, as if they were old friends rather than enemies.

But Neil could detect the indifference and schadenfreude behind Zach''s beaming smile.

It stirred a wave of humiliation in Neil''s heart, and he couldn''t help but recall the incident at the hotel

where these two men had knocked him down.

He had risen to the position of executive assistant at a young age, and everyone he met treated him

    with respect.

No one had ever dared to look down on him, let alone beat him up.

But ever since he arrived in Port City, he had experienced all kinds of humiliations at the hands of

    this pair.

The worst part was that he was powerless to retaliate.

    It was infuriating.

Unfazed by Neil''s visible anger, Zach maintained his friendly demeanor. Even his voice was

courteous. "Neil, where is your boss?"

"Our boss is resting. He is not avable to meet you two. Please leave." Neil''s eyes, hidden behind

his sses, drooped. He took a deep breath to suppress the resentment and fear he felt toward

Julien and gestured for them to leave.

He had no choice. Julien''s identity demanded respect.

He couldn''t let this pair meet his boss.

His boss, in his current state, probably didn''t want to see anyone, especially his enemy, Julien.

If Dallin was seen in such a condition, Julien would surely mock him. If Dallin got mad, those around

him would bear the brunt of it.

Neil would also have a hard time.

So, no matter what, he had to send them away.

Even though their visit meant that they had learned about Dallin''s situation, they hadn''t witnessed it

firsthand. If they couldn''t mock Dallin, Dallin wouldn''t be humiliated and vent his anger on Neil.

"Neil, we came here to visit Mr. Sullivan. We heard he was assaulted and injured. Mr. Flint wished to

express his sympathies. But it seems you''re not keen on weing us. Is this how the Sullivan

family treats its guests?" Zach''s smile didn''t reach his eyes, his toneced with an unmistakable air

of authority. "Sending the guests away with a random excuse? If that''s the case, we might not take it

well. And if Mr. Sullivan''s condition worsens because of the turmoil, you can''t me us for it."

Neil''s eyes widened in disbelief. "Are... Are you threatening me? Are you saying that if I don''t let you

in, you''ll force your way in and harm our boss?"

Zach smiled. "I didn''t say that, but if that''s how you want to interpret it, that''s fine. After all, there''s

no one Mr. Flint wishes to see that he can''t, and no one dares to turn him away. The Sullivan family

is the first. And since you''re the first, you should be prepared for the consequences. Don''t you

    agree, Neil?"

Neil listened to the bandit manifesto and turned livid. He pointed a trembling finger at Zach, "You...

    You..."

"That''s enough. Move him aside," Julien ordered, his patience wearing thin.
