Chapter 913 Not Long Left to Live
Julien''s furrowed brows ttened out. "It''s alright. I didn''t tell Felicia to wake you up because I think
you need more rest."
Only by having a good rest would his grandma recover quicker.
However, she had been resting for a little too long.
Julien had known that his grandma had a habit of taking a nap at lunchtime. This was a habit that
she got since she was young. This habit had been kept for decades.
Not only that, his grandma would only rest for two hours and that would be from one o''clock in the
afternoon to three o''clock. She would take a nap and wake up at the exact times.
However, this time the Old Madam had been asleep for a total of four hours.
Being asleep for longer might be a good thing at times, but it could also be a bad thing at times as
well, especially for someone who was quite old like the Old Madam.
Sleeping for too long would cause her body function to be weaker and the time that she was
awake would decrease.
With that thought in mind, Julien pursed his lips and looked at the top of his grandma''s head.
He looked at her grey hair and felt his heart ache.
At that moment, he realized that his grandma was really getting old.
"Felicia." Julien moved his gaze and looked at Felicia, who was holding the Old Madam.
When Felicia heard that Julien was calling her name, she immediately raised her head and asked,
"What can I do for you, Mr. Julien?"
"Is it just today that Grandma has been sleeping for this long, or has it been going on for a while?"
Julien tightened his grip around his grandma''s hand as he asked this question.
Felicia seemed to know why Julien asked this question. She looked at the Old Madam and sadness
appeared in her eyes.
The Old Madam also knew what the two of them were talking about, but still kept a smile on her
face. "It''s alright, Felicia. If Julien wants to know, then tell him."
"Old Madam..."
"Julien is going to find out sooner orter. It''s alright, tell him." The Old Madam patted the back of
Felicia''s hand.
Felicia opened her mouth and then nodded whilst sobbing. "Alright, I''ll tell him. Mr. Julien, the Old
Madam has been sleeping longer and longer recently. However, it''s intermittent. She would sleep
this long every two or three days. On other days, she would only sleep for two hours during the day,
just like before."
After hearing those words, Julien felt a little relieved.
Although his grandma had been sleeping for longer and longer, it still wasn''t happening every day.
This meant that the Old Madam''s body hadn''t reached the worst state.
"Grandma, you have to go to the sanatorium I told you aboutst time."
When the Old Madam was hospitalizedst time, Finn told Julien that the Old Madam only had two
years to live.
Therefore, Julien wanted to send the Old Madam to the sanatorium in hope that it would extend the
time she had to live by a year or two.
So Julien told his grandma about this, including her body condition as well. He hoped that his
grandma would listen to him and go to the sanatorium.
However, the Old Madam refused his proposal. She said that the sanatorium was not as
comfortable as home. She was determined not to go to the sanatorium and wanted to stay at home.
Julien found it impossible to convince his grandma and saw that she was still quite energetic, so he
thought it would be alright for her to head overter on.
What Julien didn''t expect was that only after such a short period of time, the time that his grandma
was awake was beginning to decrease. This meant that her body condition would only deteriorate
faster as time passed.
If this continued, then the Old Madam might not even live for another two years.
Therefore, Julien was determined to send his grandma to the sanatorium this time and not allow her
to do whatever she wanted.
When Felicia heard what Julien had said, she quickly nodded her head. "Mr. Julien is right, Old
Madam. You will need to go to the sanatorium. Look at you now..."
Felicia couldn''t bear to finish the sentence. She was sobbing more and more. The Old Madam
looked at her grandson, who had a serious look on his face and then at Felicia, who was crying
non-stop. She then sighed. "Alright, you guys. This isn''t something serious. This is life. What''s
happening is normal and I can ept reality. After all, I''ve lived for so long and this is enough, isn''t
it? If I continued to live, then I would be a monster, wouldn''t I? Besides, I''ve already told you,
Julien, I miss your grandpa. He''s been waiting for me on the other side for so long. I don''t want him
to suddenly have to wait for a lot longer than he should have. I''m scared that he would be
impatient and leave without me. If that happens, I wouldn''t be able to find him on the other side after
I die."
After hearing how much his grandma missed his grandpa, Julien swallowed all the words that he
was going to say to convince her to go to the sanatorium. He was at a loss for words and didn''t

The Old Madam wasn''t willing to go to the sanatorium. Even if Julien forced her to go, he knew that
if she wasn''t in a good mood, then the treatments wouldn''t have any effects either.
Felicia was in the exact same position. She didn''t even know whether if she should continue crying.
The Old Madam looked at Julien, who was quiet and frowning, and then at Felicia, who was very
upset deep down. She knew that her words made both of them very upset.
She giggled and pped her hands. "Alright, let''s not talk about this subject. Julien, is there
something you want to talk to me about?"

Julien knew that his grandma was trying to change the subject on purpose. She didn''t want to
continue on the subject, so Julien pursed his lips and replied, "I''vee to double-check something
with you."
"Go on." The Old Madam picked up a cup of tea and drank it elegantly.
Julien looked at her and said, "Grandma, I want to know whether if you know about my mom
deliberately raising me as Dallin''s recement?"
As soon as Julien asked that question, the Old Madam froze.
Even Felicia, who was massaging the Old Madam''s shoulders, widened her eyes in shock. Julien
looked at their reactions and his eyes darkened. He didn''t say anything and waited for the Old
Madam and Felicia to speak.
The Old Madam didn''t drink the tea for about two or three minutes. Aftering back to her
senses, she ced the cup back onto the table at the side. She then looked at Julien with a serious
look on her face. "How did you know about this matter?"
"Looks like what I said was true, right?" Julien didn''t answer his grandma''s question. Instead, he
asked a question of his own.
The Old Madam nodded her head and sighed. "It''s true. Your mother did do this. I couldn''t believe
my ears when I found out. How could a mother do such a thing? This is just unbelievable. However,
your mother was already dead when I found out. Therefore, I couldn''t punish her even if I wanted to.
All I could do was keep this a secret and prevent you from finding out. I know that even if you were
raised deliberately as a gentle child, you''re still arrogant deep down. There was no way that you
would be able to ept the truth. If you found out about the truth, you would not only hate your
mother, but also do something unpredictable as well."
With that said, aplicated look appeared in the Old Madam''s eyes. "I''m mad at your mother for
doing such a silly thing, but neither do I want you to hate your mother or have a feeling of
resentment towards her. After all, she gave you life and gave you love. Even if her love for you
contained other things, the things she did for you were all real. Therefore, I''d rather you don''t know
anything about this. I wanted you to always have a good impression of your mother."
The Old Madam looked at Julien. "I thought that after your mother had died,bined with me
keeping this matter a secret deliberately, everything would stay a secret. I didn''t expect that you
were able to find out about something I''ve tried to keep a secret over so many years.
Julien clenched his fists and replied with a deep voice, "This matter will never remain a secret if
Dallin is alive."
