Chapter 821 Hunter Was Dissed by Julien

Chapter 821 Hunter Was Dissed by Julien

Hunter went up to the top floor and arrived at Julien''s office door.

Just as he was about to knock on the door, the door next to Julien’s office, which was the special

    assistant''s office, opened.

Zach came out of it with a file in his hand. Zach was surprised to see Hunter standing in front of

    Julien''s office. "Mr. Cohen?"

Hunter raised his eyebrows at Zach and didn''t say anything.

Zach came to his senses. He asked as he pushed his sses upward, "Mr. Cohen, what can I do

for you? Are you here to see Mr. Flint?"

"Of course! Why else would I be here?" Hunter rolled his eyes at Zach and asked, "Is Julien here?"

Zach realized he shouldn''t have asked the question. He let out an awkward cough and replied, "Mr.

Flint is inside. If you''d like to see Mr. Flint, please wait a moment. Let me tell Mr. Flint."

Hunter narrowed his eyes, "What? Do I need to make an appointment with Julien if I want to see

    him?"

Zach sensed that Hunter was unhappy, but he didn''t get nervous. He replied calmly, "Mr. Cohen,

here''s the thing: Mr. Flint is not happy with your intentions regarding Ms. Raines, so Mr. Flint has

previously instructed that if youe to see him, I need to get his permission before I let you in."

Zach shrugged his shoulders, indicating that he could only do what Julien had instructed him to do.

Hunter spat, "Tsk... I can''t go straight to see him because of my affection for Sydney. Isn’t it

ridiculous? All right! Go ahead and tell him I''m here to see him." Hunter waved his hand impatiently.

"OK," Zach said with a polite smile. Then he knocked on Julien''s office door.

Zach had intended to go to Julien’s office to send a file.

"Come in." After Zach knocked three times on the door, Julien''s nonchnt voice came out of the

    office.

Zach pushed the door in. "Mr. Flint, here is the file you asked for."

Julien didn''t look up. "Put it in here."

"Yes." Zach ced the file with both hands on the desk where Julien could easily reach it. Then he

stepped back, stood at a distance from the desk, and reported, "Mr. Flint, Mr. Cohen is here."

Julien was writing something on a piece of paper. At Zach''s words, Julien paused his writing and the

tip of his pen poked a small hole in the paper, which ruined the page.

Julien frowned, put the pen down, balled up the page, and threw it in the trash can.

Then he rubbed his eyebrows and asked, "What''s he doing here?"

Zach shook his head, "I don''t know. I didn''t ask Mr. Cohen. But he seemed to be in a good mood.

Maybe he came here to talk to you."

Julien snorted, "What would he talk to me about? He must be here to ask something from me. Let

    him in."

"Yes, Mr. Flint," Zach nodded and turned to get out.

Julien leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes slightly and rubbing them gently to rx the

    muscles.

Footsteps sounded in the office and grew closer.

Julien knew it was Hunter. He didn’t open his eyes or stopped rubbing his eyes. He didn''t say

anything as if he didn''t know someone had entered his office.

Although Julien deliberately ignored Hunter, thetter was not offended. He shed a smile and

looked around Julien''s office as he said, "Julien, I haven''t been here for months. I’m surprised to

see your office has changed a lot. The carpet has warm colors and there are pillows on the couch.

And you have so many cute ornaments in your office. These changes are because of Sydney, aren''t

    they?"

Julien had a cool personality and his taste in decor was minimalist and somber. His office and his

home used to have cold tones. It was depressing.

Hunter used to talk to Julien about changing the decor of his office and home and not making the

rooms so gloomy. It affected people''s moods.

But Julien never took his advice.

Now, however, Julien''s office was warm and inviting. Hunter could only think that the change was

    because of Sydney.

Julien put his hands down, opened his eyes, ignored Hunter''s inquiry, and asked, "What do you

    want here?"

Since Julien didn''t answer Hunter''s question, thetter didn''t insist. Hunter shrugged his shoulders

and sat in the chair across from Julien and smiled, "It''s not a big deal. I came to ask you why you

prevented Sydney from learning about her real parents?"

Julien''s face darkened and his eyes became fierce. He stared hard at Hunter, "I don''t know what

    you''re talking about!"

Hunter rolled his eyes at Julien, "Come on! Today in court, Madeline was about to tell Sydney about

her real parents, but at that moment, the bailiff stopped Madeline. Usually, police officers don''t forbid

suspects from talking to the intiff, especially when it''s a minor transgression like Madeline’s. As

the bailiff forbade Madeline to speak, anyone would suspect that they were instructed in advance. In

Port City, only three people are able to do that. Two of them have nothing to do with Sydney, and

    you''re thest one."

Hunter kept his smile, while Julien''s face grew darker. "Julien, I want to know why you don''t let

Sydney know about her real parents. You wouldn''t let Madeline tell Sydney about it. You seem

afraid that Sydney will know about her real parents. What''s wrong with Sydney''s real parents?"

Julien clenched his fists, his voice cold and frightening, "How did you know what happened in the

    courtroom? You went to court?"

Julien guessed that Hunter must have gone to the courthouse with Sydney.

Hunter realized that he had exposed himself. He gave a wry smile, "It doesn''t matter. It''s a

coincidence. As you had talked to Sydney on the phone and you should know that I met with

Sydney. We met before the trial started, so I went to attend the trial with her. So... I knew about it."

Julien''s thin lips tightened into a straight line.

He couldn''t believe Hunter had apanied Sydney to the trial!

As Sydney''s boyfriend, Julien didn''t make it with Sydney, but Hunter was there.

    Julien was pissed off.

What frustrated Julien the most was that Sydney didn''t tell him.

Julien wondered why Sydney didn''t tell him about Hunter going to the court with her. ''Did she think it

wasn''t a big deal? Or did she keep it from me on purpose?''

Julien''s eyebrows furrowed tightly. He had an intimidating aura.

Hunter felt embarrassed. He scratched the back of his head and gave a faint smile, “Julien, that''s

not important. Tell me what’s wrong with Sydney''s real parents. When did you find out about

    Sydney''s real parents?"

Hunter guessed that Julien must know about Sydney''s real parents. Otherwise, he wouldn''t have

stopped Sydney from learning about it.

"Why do you ask?" Julien narrowed his eyes and looked at Hunter, no emotion in his eyes, "This is

between Sydney and me. It has nothing to do with you. You''re in no position to ask about it."
