Chapter 818 Jealousy
He had been asionally curious and wanted to meet her.
It was not an urgent issue, so he kept putting it off until six years passed. All along, he hadn''t

"Oh." Sydney didn''t press since he was reluctant to tell. She nodded, put the phone to her ear, and
shifted her attention.
"Hello?" Her eyes softened as she put all her attention on the call.
Julien heard her voice and unknitted his brows. "What took you so long to answer the phone? Is the
trial still not over?"
"Yes," Sydney replied, "I was talking to Hunter."
She looked up at the man.
Hunter smiled at her and raised his coffee cup.
Upon hearing the name, Julien stood up from his chair and pursed his lips into a line. "Hunter?"
"Yep." Sydney nodded.

"Uh-huh," Sydney nodded, "there is something I need to talk to him about."
"You have to meet him in person?" Julien croaked, clutching the phone.
Hunter had feelings for Sydney. Although he had given up, it was not so easy for him to get over it.
What if he changed his mind after seeing her?
In short, Hunter was a time bomb.
Although Julien didn''t think Hunter could steal Sydney away, he was upset to have a rival in love.

Across the table, Hunter sipped his coffee and calmed down. When he heard that, he put his cup

After Julien heard her out, his face was less sullen.
He had thought Hunter asked Sydney out to confess his love for her.
Hunter was not the kind of person who would confess to someone who had been spoken for. That
kind of selfish action was disgusting.

He totally believed Sydney''s words. He bowed his head and hummed, "Come back when you''re
done. Don''t stay with him for long. He is not a good person."
Sydney felt guilty that he bought her lie and then got amused by the second half of his speech.

He instantly rolled his eyes, aware that Julien had talked ill of him.
After getting Sydney''s promise, Julien felt better but was still upset.

She sought cooperation for her revenge.
It was fine, but she would rather work with Hunter than him.
Given his power, he could easily deal with the Madden family, but she had made it clear that she
didn''t want him to secretly help her. If he did that, she would not forgive him.

"Aren''t you busy?" Sydney suddenly asked.
Julien hummed, "I''m taking a break and will attend a meetingter."
"Don''t stress yourself out." Sydney was distressed.
Julien detected the concern in her voice and smiled gently, "I can handle it."
"You surely will," Sydney also smiled.
Julien''s eyes flickered, and he asked, "What is the result of the trial?"
"Six months of imprisonment. Not convinced, Madeline is going to appeal," Sydney sneered.
Julien narrowed his eyes. "It doesn''t matter. The result will be the same."
"Yeah, I''m not worried at all." Sydney shrugged.
Julien twiddled his fingers and asked again as if casually, "Did Madeline act strangely or say
anything unusual to you in court?"
