    Chapter 103

    Brandon’s Pov

Her cheeks heated a little, and there was a trace of redness in them, despite her surprised expression.

I had never had a girlfriend, I was always a manwhore and had never asked ady to be my girlfriend

before. It was old school, yet every syble that came out of my mouth put a smile on my face.

“I’m not sure when or how I started having feelings for you, Thalia, but it happened and I’m madly in

love with you,” I finally admitted it, and my chest felt lighter; I’d been carrying that burden for months. I

assumed I’d die carrying the load, but fate had other ideas.

Out of nowhere, she mmed her hand into my shoulder.

“Ouchi!” I eximed. “What was the point of that?”

“What took you so long,” she retorted.

I was stunned as I looked at her. “Were you waiting for me to propose? Are you a normal person? Why

didn’t you propose?” I inquired but she got on top of me and switched off the machine. “Time up,” she

announced and got really close to me, “When did you begin to have feelings for me, was it at the

    bridge?” She asked

“Hell no, you were so ugly and irritating then,” I replied. She looked away and moved off me. I didn’t

mean it in a hurtful way but she gave me a disappointed look. “Thalia, I did not…”

“It’s okay,” she said andy beside me. “I also did not like that arrogant self-absorbed jerk that behaved

like it owned the bridge,” she replied.

    N?velDrama.Org holds this content.

    “You disturbed my suicide?”

“Even during the first days in your house, you were arrogant, you locked me in those sex rooms just

because I tried to run away.”

“I did not want to be alone,” I replied, looking away. She moved closer and whispered. “You will never

be alone, I promise you that.”

“Should I take this as a yes?” I asked.

“Yes Brandon crazy Fraser, I would love to be your first girlfriend,” she said.

Her words were the most beautiful words I have ever heard in my pitiful life. Maybe it was because she

whispered to them, but they felt so soothing to my ears. When I withdrew my finger away from her

neck, the movement of her hair almost gave me the chills.

My hands extended from the sides of her head to her neck, shoulders, and hands. I gently but firmly

grasped her hands and held them in front of me, pausing. She didn’t say anything and just stared at

me, which made me feel secure. Yes, there was an emergency with the liver, but Nestor would handle

it, and in case of an emergency he would text or call. I closed my eyes and exhaled deeply as my

    heartbeat out of my chest.

I kissed her shoulder and ran my lips over my skin in the direction of her ear, but didn’t quite get there. I

c*cked my head and came to a halt when she took a long breath. “What are you doing, Brandon?” She

inquired. I could see she was afraid, but all I was doing was smelling her. I grinned as I peered into her

    eyes.

My two hands s*atched her left hand and pressed her open palm on my chest. “I owe you this beating

heart, and it will only beat for you from today until my dying breath.”

As tears streamed down her cheeks, I mumbled, watching her intently.

Love, fort, safety, care, patience, and respect radiated from her eyes. I grinned and let go of her

hands, running my fingers through her hair with one hand, softly guiding my face closer to her, and

    cing my lips on hers.

At that moment it was just the two of us taking time as our lips passionately wrapped around each

other. The kiss was not as aggressive as it was the first time.

I had no idea how long we kissed but we finally broke off the kiss, tired and breathing heavily. Maybe it

was for all the months we missed and pretended not to have feelings for each other or was it for the

time we had to hide the feelings because I was dying. I was still dying that fact I knew but I felt I owed

myself a moment of happiness even if it was just for a day.

I cleared my throat, “I think the machine is not doing a good job. Sometimes my right-hand freezes,” I

confessed. If we were going to be a couple, we needed to start on a clean slit.

“I know, I noticed and that’s why Dr. Wilson came to examine you,” she replied.

“So it’s okay with you to be my girlfriend for a week or day?”

She held my face and told me not to say such words but that was the truth. For unknown reasons the

machine was not working as we expected.

“Let’s just take a day at a time,” she replied and pressed against me.

I kissed her forehead and checked on my messages. Useless Josh was still at the care home. I looked

at my watch and it was almost 11 pm. I wondered who ran the useless home for them to allow him

visiting at such an hour. Anyway, I put the tablet back on the table and concentrated On the beautiful

    thing on my chest.

“I know the time you fell in love with me,” I dered. She lifted her head.

“It was when I took you to my pool house and m*sturbated on your thigh.”

I looked up at her and her face flushed red, “You went into the bed and m*sturbated in the bathroom,” I

“Shut up Brandon and for your own information it was way before that,” she replied with

embarrassment written all over her face.

“How could you fall for a jerk like me?” I asked. “Yes I helped you and it’s all-natural but…”

She ced her hand over my mouth and said; “You are funny, you hide your feelings behind your

sense of humor, you dashingly handsome, you can now cook, you are tall, you are kind even though

you do not know it and finally you are smart,” She stated sending me into a huge smile.

“You forgot two things,” I replied

“No, I’m sure I got everything,” she replied while recounting everything.

“Im super-rich and very gifted between my legs,” I added.

She began pinching me like I was lying, “Thalia, stop you are hurting me,” I cried out. She stopped,

“You brag a lot and you are evil, how do youe up with such evil ns?” She asked.

“I’m a strategist, not the devil, brainless girl,” I replied. She giggled, it had been long since I called her

    by that nickname.

“You know I always wondered if we turned the tables and you were Victor’s son and the kind of horror I

    would have gone through?”

My jaw dropped, did she really think I was that evil or s*upid?

“First of all, I would have not married you, there are a lot of ways to steal apany. In fact, I would

have just f*cked you so good you would have willingly signed off the papers to me,” I replied.

“You……..” She raised her hand to hit me but I kissed her instead. She was my girlfriend and kisses

were the new way of shutting her up.

“Let us go and check on our princes?” I suggested. I had only seen her once.

“Do you have the energy to walk?” She asked.

I rolled my legs to make sure they weren’t frozen, and I nodded. As we rolled to the ICU, she helped

me up and grabbed my phones. It waste and not visiting hours, ording to the ipetent nurse

    we found in the ward.

I contacted the hospital administrator to inform her who I was. I’d always been a generous donor to the

hospital. We were permitted to meet our baby after the call, but we were reminded to remain quiet

because she was asleep and needed the rest. With my arms wrapped around Thalia, we stood over

    the incubator.

We made a beautiful family and we were going to be a family soon; all we needed was a liver from that

idiot. I kissed Thalia’s forehead and assured her that our baby was going home with us soon. It was

Thalia was very tired, I could see her wincing, every step she made, her C-section stitches were

probably reminding her that she was not superhuman. I called in the nurse to check on her and she

was given some pain meds before we decided to call it a night. Shey beside me, and we were about

to get into another moment, we couldn’t get our hands off of each other.

But my phone beeped, interrupting our special moment. I had no option but to break it off in case it was

Nestor. I picked it up, “What? Where did he go?” I yelled. Thalia looked up at me as I tensed up. “What

do you mean you lost him, didn’t you have people watching him!” I yelled.

“Who is gone? What are you talking about?” Thalia frantically asked? “Oooh, my G o d is it Josh? Did

they lose Josh?” She cried out.

I could see the fear in her eyes but I needed to deal with Nestor first.

“Close all the bus stations, train stations, and Airports! Put him on a dumb terrorist watch list if you

have to!” I yelled and cut the phone.

How could they lose a broken guy, I was enraged and furious. I tried to hold on to Thalia, but she

pushed me away. I wasn’t going to let her have any more moments of me. “Where has he gone, and

why would he do such a thing to a helpless child?” She screamed.

I couldn’t see why she expected so much from the creature who had taken everything from her. It was

best if she epted the truth that he delighted in her agony sooner rather thanter. She yelled out,

“This is my fault Brandon, I should have let you handle the liver.”

“No, no, you’re right, our baby deserves a life away from vengeance,” I said, assuring her that I’d track

him down. To be honest, I was terrified; perhaps the idiot hadmitted suicide in one of the care

home toilets. I quickly texted Nestor to work up all the old people and check all the toilets but after

    some minutes they found nothing.

The useless man had disappeared into thin air.

I couldn’t think of anything reassuring to say to her, and I didn’t want to make any false promises. Josh

had a habit of snapping whenever he was confronted with s*it, and only the Lord knew what he was up

    to.

I looked up, perplexed; I wasn’t good at praying, but the angel in that room deserved one, and the

woman resting on my chest needed a break; for once in her life, she needed some good news. Without

her knowledge, I said my small prayer.

We sat there, despondent, waiting for updates that never arrived. Slowly, we both began to drift asleep,

until we were fully immersed in our slumber. A tap at the door was the only thing that jolted us awake. I

discovered it was dawn when I looked up, followed by Thalia, who was still sleepy.

I examined my phone for missed calls and texts from Nestor. They were yet to find Josh, I was aware

Nestor was tired and obviously had not slept for days but the baby’s life was on the line and they

needed to pull up their socks. The knock came again and yelled out of frustration for whoever it was to

    get lost.

“I need your signature on these forms if I am to carry out the transnt on the baby,” the man said on

the other side of the door.

Thalia’s eyes popped up wide open, she quickly became alert and ran to open the door. The

hepatologist walked in and greeted us. I noticed he was holding some papers in his hand.

“I was told I would find you in here,” he said.

“What’s going on? You… said… something about transnt?” Thalia asked.

“A miracle popped up on my doorsteps this morning iming he was the father of the baby and wanted

    to donate,” he replied.

Thalia held her heart in shock, as she turned to face me.

“So I came with him here and did all the tests. He was worried that his liver was not in a condition to

donate because of his past drinking but we found it okay and he had the protein markers, he is a

    match.” He announced.

Thalia ran to the poor doctor and hugged him, not sure why, “Ooh my g o d, that’s Josh, how did he find

    you?”

“he said he googled me. I brought the forms, he has already signed on the father’s part, so I need your

    signature Miss Nash.”

“What the f*ck! he is not the dumb father!” I yelled and got off the bed.  My legs felt heavy, I had missed

my session by two hours but I did not give a dumb.

“Wait a minute, this is why I had toe up here, yes I know he is just a biological father and it’s your

name on the birth certificate,” the doctor tried to exin.

“But why did you allow him to sign!” I yelled at him.

“Because I want to save the innocent angel in there and you adults are killing her. You told me it was

insemination when the father was only a call away. What kind of f*cking parents are you!” He yelled at

    us.

“That other fool down there has made it clear he won’t donate if his signature is not on the form and he

has made it clear that should he see any of your faces he will back out of the donation. So sign this and

let me do my job. You can solve this madness after the baby is safe,” he said and handed the forms to

    Thalia.

Thalia quickly grabbed the papers and signed them.

“Finally someone is looking out for her daughter,” the doctor said and thanked her but warned us not to

go near the theater in case we bumped into Josh. He walked out of the room and I turned to face

    Thalia.

“Put a lot of security on the floor, it’s the birth certificate that matters, not the theater papers,” she said

    as she held my hands.

    “But Thalia?”

“Brandon, we got the liver, he is only using emotions.” She said and led me to the bed, handing me my

    tablet. “Call security now,”

I grabbed it and updated Nester, ordering him to bring security. I had no cameras in the theater and no

time to set up but useless Josh was not going to sign any more papers or leave the hospital with my

    baby.
