The Art Of Revenge by MK20 Gab Chapter 31 Brandon’s Pov

    N?velDrama.Org owns all content.

Every time Jessica showed up on the screen in tears, she stared at her andughed out loud. I could

tell she’d never drunk that much booze before because she was so inebriated. She giggled sweetly as I

    nced at her.

Was it the unpleasant sex offer I made to her or should I have not allowed her to drink? I thought to

myself, trying to decipher what was going on in her head.

My stomach made a rumbling noise, snapping me out of my thoughts. Sheughed out loudly. “Are you

hungry,” she inquired. “Let me prepare you a meal.” But I declined. We both didn’t want her to set fire to

    the house.

She implored, “But Brandon, you’re starving.”

” You are not in the condition to cook, I can contact Nestor and have him deliver us pizza,” I said,

causing her to jump up in excitement, she was in the mood for pizza. “Which vor is your favorite?” I

inquired. There were a lot of little things about her that I had no idea of.

    She said, “Pepperoni.”

I shrugged; I despised pepperoni, even though it was everyone’s favorite, it was not my type.

“Do you prefer romantic or crime novels?” I inquired, trying to find out if we had anything inmon.

    “Crime,” she replied.

“Great,” I thought to myself, at least we shared one thing inmon.

“Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings?”

“ Lord of the Rings,” she replied.

Another thing inmon I added to the score. “On a thirsty day, a ss of milk or a ss of water?”

She said, “Milk.” I was practically giddy with delight. We had a lot of small things inmon, not big

things, but small things that people normally argued about or debated about.

“What’s with all the silly questions?” she asked. “Have you spoken to Nestor? I miss him,” she

remarked, putting a damper on my good mood.

I scowled and stared at her for a long time, almost canceling the order, but I was starving. I’d never felt

    so hungry before.

She got up and was ready to go and get another bottle of wine when I swiftly grabbed the remote and

    shut the cer door.

    “Brandon, no!” she screamed.

“Thalia, you’ve had enough,” I told her. “You should be watching your enemies crumble, not drinking

yourself to death.” As she proceeded to the other side of the bed, she came to a halt and averted her

    sight.

“Let’s simply wait for the pizza,” I said, “it’s been years since I’ve had one.”

“I’m just trying to wrap my head around the reality that I am going through with destroying Josh’s life,”

    she exined.

“Thalia, we’re not nearly halfway through, but we can stop here since Josh will never be the same man

    again, believe me.

We’ve already set him up for failure,” I added, but she remained silent, her gaze fixed on Jessica in

Josh’s hospital room, who was crying.

She cleared her throat and said: “Imagine Jessica’s sorrow when she learns I’m carrying Josh’s baby,

imagine when she learns I’ll be the only one capable of bearing a Gentex’s heir?”

I stared at her, her eyes steely, as she turned to face me. They looked nothing like they did when I first

met her, and I didn’t like what I was seeing.

I was bleeding ady full of resentment and anger, a woman I wasn’t sure would finish what she’d

started. And the sad reality was that it was all my idea, and there was no way for me to persuade her

otherwise. I figured the least I could do was prepare her in case something went wrong while I was no

    more.

“When will I be inseminated, and how will the cover story fit in if Josh has already had the surgery?”

she wondered, snapping me out of my thoughts.

I rubbed my head, remembering the cover narrative. My head was quite fuzzy, and I was not sure how I

forgot or sk*pped that important aspect.

“I believe you cane in and y the smart game; Josh will be too preupied with obtaining

custody or in shock to care about how his sperm ended up in you,” I responded.

    “You screwed up the n?”

“No, I didn’t, but we can still im he cheated on Jessica on their wedding night,” I responded, but she

shrugged, causing me to be enraged.

“Listen to me, you brainless brat, I’m doing this out of kindness, and I’m actually straining my brain to

put things together for your stup*d revenge!” I lost my cool and yelled at her. She averted her gaze

without saying anything, then turned around and apologized.

I put my tablet down and said, “Thalia, can we watch the show together? If this is truly what you want,

let’s have a good timeughing at your enemies.”

“I was having a good time until you shut the cer door,” she responded.

“No, you were trying to hide behind the booze, and this isn’t the case.”

    “I’m sorry,” she apologized.

The sound of the rm made me clench my teeth and interrupted me from scolding her. Nestor was

already outside with the pizza, which was irritating.

I never understood why, whenever I called fetch, he would stop whatever he was doing and came

running over to me. I tried to get up but my entire weight left me and lingered under my abdomen. I

    cursed the idiotic sickness.

“Do you need any assistance?” She offered but I lied and assured her I was okay. I intended to do it

myself, but when I attempted to stand up again, my veins felt like they were being ripped out, and I

    cried out.

It was the first time I had ever experienced such agony. “Brandon, are you okay?” Thalia stood up and

ran to the side of my bed, holding me. I tried to answer, but I was hit again, and the m*ron outside kept

ringing the doorbell, adding to the difort. As blows continued to hit me, I clung to Thalia’s arms.

“I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do, Brandon, please tell me what to do?” Thalia, who was visibly

    distressed, inquired while shaking.

“Just hold me,” I said. She climbed into bed and rested my head on her beautiful chest. I almost

Was it possible that the brainless girl suspected her chest always did the magic for me or was she

merely just holding me innocently? Someone cleared their throat, and I felt Thalia raise her head.

“Oh my G*d, thank G*d you’re here, Nestor; Brandon is in pain, and I’m at a loss for what to do.” She

    cried out.

He replied, “Move, we need to put him face down, like the physicians used to do.”

Thalia tried to move, but I held on to her tightly and said, “ if you move, Lord help me, I’ll beat the life

out of you!” I became enraged and yelled at her. She swiftly sat back and clutched my hand.

“But sir, during such episodes, though, the doctors used to turn you upside down,” he interrupted me.

“How did you even get in here?” I yelled at him.

He said, “I know the passcode.”

“Is there anything about me that you don’t know?” I yelled while wrapping my arms around Thalia’s

waist. He remained silent without responding.

“ce the pizza on the table and leave,” I ordered him.

“But, Brandon, what if we require his services?” Thalia suggested.

“We don’t need him!” I eximed, holding my waist and lifting my head to face Nestor.

He strolled over to the table, ced the pizza on the table, and sat down next to me, to my annoyance.

The boy was really irritating. I wanted to fire him but then I remembered I had already fired him.

“Get out, you m*ron!” I screamed as I took another hard blow, which was so excruciating that it made

my eyes watery. I was making every effort not to cry. I wasn’t going to let Thalia see my tears or the

    m*ron who wouldn’t leave.

Thalia instantly pressed me against her chest, saying, “Don’t mind him, just believe we’re just the two

of us.” I tried to object, but she silenced me. “Sh sh, Brandon,” she whispered softly as she stroked my

    hair.

“It’ll be fine,” she said, it’ll pass. It’ll be over soon.”

I closed my eyes and focused on her voice, which was lovely, pure and so innocent. The ache

subsided, but the contraction had sapped most of my strength. I slid down herps and exhaled deeply,

like if I’d justpleted a marathon.

She continued to stroke my hair and saying something to me, but I had no idea what she was saying

    until the m*ron spoke up.

“Is that your ex-husband? Josh, lying on the hospital bed?” He inquired of Thalia. I was in so much pain

that I forgot to change the channels from the live feed when he walked in earlier. I wasn’t sure how he

knew Josh, but it didn’t surprise me.

He was always too curious and snooping around my business which sometimes came in handy but

    sometimes was very irritating.

“What have you two been doing in this house, did you put Josh in the hospital?” he inquired,

    concerned.

“Can’t you see your boss is sick? And learn to mind your own business!” Thalia responded.

“Thalia, no. What are you doing? Brandon… or Mr. Frazer is a very dangerous man; please don’t tell

me he’s got you tangled into sh*t?” he inquired.

“I told you to shut up! Get out of here,” Thalia yelled at him.

“You don’t know him as well as I do. He’ll force you to do things you’ll regret for the rest of your life.”

“Idiot!” Finally, I gave my response. I wished I was on two legs so I could kick him out of my house as

    well.

He ignored me “Thalia, get up now, get up!” he eximed as he walked over to her, my head resting on

herp. His voice grated on my ears and irritated me. He reached for her arm and attempted to pull her

up, but she pushed him away.

“Nestor,e to your senses! Brandon isn’t forcing me to do anything I don’t want to do, and I’m not

    abandoning him.

I’ll never abandon him; he’s the reason I’m alive today, the reason I have the will to wake up every day,

the desire that I once lost, so get out,” she said loudly.

Hearing her say such kind things wiped away all of the pain that had been bothering me only a few

moments before. As I rxed into herp, a lovely smile came on my face.
