Introduction: Skills from stones dwell in my bones, that names may never hurt me.The trouble with the ancient spells of Feor is, that for reasons long since forgotten, the mages who cast the spells also had the bright idea of stuffing them into stones – most of them, anyway. Unfortunately, the unstoppable force that later destroyed those same mages also blew their spell stones to smithereens. These days, there’s still magic in the stones but getting it out tends to be a bit of a faff. Stone holders gain magical skills by linking the word engraved on a stone to the spell it originally came from. This process is known as ‘triggering’, and fifteen-year-old Malcolm Hob can’t wait to have a go…What to expect:A slow-burn, feel good slice of life, progression fantasy with added humour.
