Chapter 85
Mason tilted his head back, exhaling a slow stream of gray smoke. He nced at Leslie, saying,
"I''m not aedian."
Leslie choked on the smoke. He was about to ask about Zoe when Gabri approached with a
ss of red wine.
She had dressed up meticulously for the asion. She wore a dress that exuded femininity, and
every move deliberately showcased her womanly charm.
Seating herself next to Mason, she spoke in a familiar tone, "Mason, why didn''t you bring Zoe
along? Since you two got married, it seems like you haven''t taken her out much. Is it because you
don''t see me as being worthy of meeting her, or is it that you don''t find your wife attractive?"
This remark contained a hint of flirtation and a dash of curiousity.
While she spoke, her body was almost leaning against Mason''s shoulder, the soft, fair skin rubbing
against his crisp white shirt. Gabri believed that no man could resist such subtle temptation.
Leslie pretended not to hear, taking a sip of his drink.
Mason put down his phone, turning his head to look at Gabri and at her rather alluring dress.
As a man, he was not oblivious to a woman''s teasing insinuation.
Mason withdrew his gaze, chuckling. "It''s not right to bring her."
Gabri, who had put considerable effort into her approach, was a bit irritated when Mason did not
take the bait.
Unexpectedly, Mason changed the subject. "But since you brought it up, why don''t you call her
over? It''s a good opportunity. I rushed over here and forgot to bring a gift. My wife can make up for
it."
Leslie almost spat out his drink.
He looked up and saw Gregory, realizing why Mason had said that. It was undoubtedly aimed at
Gregory.
Indeed, Gregory''s expression upon hearing what Mason said was unpleasant.
Mason called Zoe and gently invited her to Gabri''s birthday party, asking her to bring a gift.
Gabri listened nearby, unimpressed.
She had known Zoe for many years and understood her well. Zoe would never be generous enough
to buy a gift for her enemy. No woman would buy a gift for a romantic rival.

However, Gabri was wrong.
An hourter, Zoe arrived.
She had changed into a different outfit, a Dior knit embroidered top and a ck beaded long skirt.
She was elegant and graceful, with a hint of sexiness.
Zoe handed a gift to Gabri, speaking softly, "Gabri, I''m sorry foring over at such short
notice. If Mason had mentioned earlier that today was your birthday, I would have had more time to
prepare something for you. Even though it''ste, I still want to wish you a happy birthday."
She kept Mason in mind as she spoke, showing no sign of reservation.
Gabri smiled. "Zoe, you shouldn''t have bothered. This gift must be expensive."
Zoe looked at her husband.
Her gaze was tender, and she smiled. "It''s Mason''s money."
The people present fell into a stunned silence.
Once, they looked down on Zoe. First, Mason did not like her, and second, Zoe always seemed
childish. Unexpectedly, she had now grown into the role of Mrs. Lockwood.
Lesliezily spoke up during this silent moment, "Didn''t someone just suggest ying Truth or
Dare? Hey, Zoe, are you in? It can be quite interesting."
Zoe had not responded yet, but Gabri tossed her long hair, saying, "I''m just afraid Mason won''t
be able to bear it."
She said this to exclude Zoe.
She could sense the gazes of the men on Zoe, a bit surprised and quite intrigued. It made Gabri
ufortable.
