Thinking about how foolish Dn could be sometimes made Brendon smile crookedly without any
good intentions behind it.

After asking, she felt a bit uneasy, wondering if her probing was too obvious, feeling a bit contrived.
Brendon cupped her face and rubbed it gently, looking extremely serious. He said, "Yes! He''s too
good to you, and I''m jealous."

Brendon said firmly. "You''ve done enough for us all these years."
Ranita felt stunned by his understanding and concern for her well-being.
"I just think you should still call her back," she hesitated before adding, "She is still your mother after
all. What if there really is something wrong?"
