    Ranita''s mood lifted, as if she had suddenly eaten a piece of candy, and her heart was sweetened.


    As they left the inspection room, Brendon immediately ran over and asked, "How are you? Are you


    okay?"


    Steve stood with his hands behind his back and spoke in a cold tone. "Just rest for a few days

    "You''ve been running around these past few days. You need to rest too."

    told you to stay away from Steve! Why don''t you listen?"


    "Dr. Pearson is really nice!" Ranita leaned against the bed frame and tried to stand up but Brendon


    bent down quickly and lifted her onto the bed.


    "Rest for a while," he said softly before lying down next to her.


    "What are you doing?" The hospital bed wasn''t very big. There was still plenty of space even after


    Ranitay down on it because she was so slender. But adding Brendon made it feel cramped.


    "I''m tired," he muttered in a low voice as he turned on his side with an arm draped over her waist.


    Ranita looked up at him; she saw stubble on his cold jawline which softened her heartpletely.


    She raised an arm slowly then wrapped it around him tightly before snuggling into his embrace


    willingly.
