The Secret Pact(2/2)

    <div>

“Clara, we’re gaining ground,” Marcus said, pulling her back to the present. “But we need to push harder. They’re starting to regroup.”

As the battle reached its climax, Noah and Clara’s paths finally converged.

Their eyes met across the battlefield, a silent understanding passing between them. In that moment, the chaos around them seemed to fade, leaving only the two of them, bound together by a destiny neither could escape.

Noah’s silver eyes softened as he approached her, his wolf form radiating a protective warmth. “I told you I wouldn’t let you down.”

Together, they fought side by side, their combined strength turning the tide of the battle in their favor.

But for Clara and Noah, the battle was more than just a fight for freedom—it was a testament to the unbreakable bond that had brought them together, a bond that would endure long after the dust had settled.

Her heart pounded in her chest as the message reached her—Victor knew. He knew about her twin ice cores, her greatest strength and her most fatal weakness. And he was coming for her.

He was already moving toward her, his dark hair plastered to his forehead, his blood-moon aura flickering like a dying flame. "Victor’s targeting my cores. If he hits me, it’s over."

He stepped closer, his hand instinctively reaching for hers. "We’ll take him down together."

Clara shook her head, her fingers brushing against his before pulling away. "No. You’re the only one who can stop him, Noah.

"No," Noah snapped, his voice rising. "I’m not leaving you to face him alone. We’re in this together, Clara. Always."

She leaned in, her lips brushing his ear. "I love you," she murmured, the words a secret only he could hear. Then she stepped back, her expression hardening. "Now go."

The air around her crackled with frost, and her form shifted into that of a majestic ice wolf, her fur shimmering like diamonds.

The battlefield seemed to freeze in awe as her power erupted, a beacon of both beauty and destruction.

"Clara!" he shouted, his voice breaking. But there was no time to mourn. Victor’s laughter echoed across the field, a cruel reminder of the task at hand.

He charged toward Victor, his movements fueled by a mix of fury and desperation. "You’ll pay for this!" he snarled, his voice a guttural growl.

But Noah was faster. His claws tore through Victor’s defenses, the force of his strike sending the enemy sprawling. "You don’t get to say her name," Noah hissed, his eyes burning with a feral intensity. "You don’t get to touch her. Ever."

She was still there, her ice wolf form glowing faintly, but her strength was waning. She met his eyes, her gaze soft and full of unspoken words.

She smiled weakly, her fingers brushing his cheek. "I knew you could do it," she said, her voice barely audible. "I always believed in you."

Clara’s eyes fluttered closed, her body leaning into his. "You won’t," she murmured. "Because you’re my partner. My heart."
