The Night of Rebellion(2 /2)

What is he doing here? she thought, her mind racing.

Before she could dwell on it, Noah’s voice echoed in her mind through their shared mental link. “Did you miss me?” he quipped, his tone light despite the dire circumstances.

Noah’s laughter, warm and unbothered, filled her mind. “Maybe not. But it’s yours. And that makes it mine.”

Clara and Noah moved in perfect sync, their connection more than just mental. She lunged forward, her ice wolf form tearing through the enemy lines with savage precision, while Noah’s silver wolf darted through the chaos, his movements fluid and deadly. They didn’t need words; their bond was enough.

She braced herself, her muscles coiling as she prepared to fight her way out. But before she could act, Noah appeared at her side, his body brushing against hers in a protective gesture. “You’re not getting rid of me that easily,” he murmured, his voice low and teasing.

“And yet, here you are, relying on me,” he shot back, his tone laced with amusement.

As the battle began to wind down, Clara and Noah found a moment of respite. They stood close, their breaths coming in heavy pants. Clara turned to him, her eyes searching his. “You shouldn’t have come,” she repeated, her voice softer this time.

Her heart ached at his words, a mixture of gratitude and fear swirling within her. She wanted to argue, to tell him she didn’t need protecting, but the sincerity in his eyes silenced her. Instead, she reached out, her hand brushing against his fur. “Thank you,” she whispered, her voice barely audible.

    Stolen story; please report.

Clara’s breath hitched as Noah moved closer, his muzzle gently nuzzling her cheek. It was a gesture of intimacy, one that spoke volumes without words.

Noah nodded, though his eyes lingered on her for a moment longer. “Lead the way, Commander.”

Clara’s breath hitched as Noah’s fingers brushed against hers, sending a shiver down her spine. She glanced up at him, her heart racing.

But before she could finish, the sound of rustling leaves and snapping twigs interrupted the moment. A group of elite rebel soldiers emerged from the shadows, their weapons drawn and eyes locked on Clara.

In an instant, his body shifted, his form transforming into a majestic silver wolf. He lunged at the attackers with a ferocity that left Clara in awe. His powerful jaws clamped down on one soldier’s arm, forcing him to drop his weapon. Another rebel swung a blade at Noah, but he dodged with a grace that belied his size.

“Stay down,” she muttered, her voice cold and steady.

“Get behind me,” Noah’s voice echoed in her mind, their bond allowing them to communicate even in this form.

“You already are,” he replied, his tone softening. “But let me protect you this time.”

“Thank you, my Omega,” she said softly, her eyes searching his.

The words hung in the air, heavy with unspoken meaning. Clara’s breath caught in her throat as she stepped closer, her hand reaching up to touch his cheek.

“We both have,” Noah replied, his hand covering hers.
