As Freya saw the person in front of her, her face immediately fell.
“Freya, I don’t know how your dean managed to find Rn’s father and convince him not to pursue this matter, but Freya, I won’t let you off the hook.” Liora said with a menacing look in her eyes.
Freya took two steps back, creating some distance between them.
“You know very well what happened to your child. You don’t need me to say it. But it’s your own stubbornness that’s causing harm to yourself,” Freya replied.
“If it weren’t you, would I have ended up like this?” Liora believed that Freya was responsible for her current situation.
“It’s all because of you!” she repeated, her eyes turning red.
Freya didn’t want to engage with her any further, as she could see that Liora had lost her sanity.
“Greed, anger, delusion, and evil are the roots of suffering. You possess them all.” Freya said coldly. “If you continue down this path, you’ll even lose Rn, the flesh and blood that you’ve destroyed. What you’ve lost is your own child.”
Freya intentionally said this because she saw Rn approaching from a distance. However, Liora had her back turned to Rn and was unaware of his presence. Her anger was solely directed at Freya.
“Even if I got rid of it myself, so what? But now Rn believes that you pushed me down the stairs and caused the loss of our child. He hates you for it, and he will seek revenge against you, Freya. You won’t have an easy time!” Liora growled.
Freya smiled. “I can’t do anything to you, but I just don’t understand why you could harm your own child. That’s your own flesh and blood…”
“So what if it’s my own flesh and blood? I never wanted to have a child. Using a child to frame you and make your life miserable, I think it’s worth it.” Liora showed no signs of remorse.
Freya shook her head. This woman was beyond help. Whoever was with her would suffer.
“You don’t want the child, but Rn really does. Don’t you ever consider his feelings? You’re married now, don’t you care if he’s hurt…”
“No, he’ll just hate you because he still thinks that we lost the baby because of you…”
“Liora!” Rn spoke up.
Liora’s expression changed as she heard his voice. Quickly realizing the situation, she asked, “Are you intentionally saying all this?”
Freya couldn’t be bothered with her and strode into the hospital. Liora knew that it was crucial to salvage her rtionship with Rn. Everything she did relied on Rn’s support.
“Rn, you misunderstood. Don’t listen to Freya’s nonsense. Our baby was lost because of her…”
“Stop talking!”
Rn’s eyes turned crimson as he tightly grabbed Liora’s wrist, almost breaking it.
Liora winced in pain, “Rn, you’re hurting me…”
Rn didn’t let go, he just held on tighter. “I heard everything. You said you didn’t want to have a child, are you trying to argue? Haven’t I treated you well? Why would you treat me like this? You even targeted my child?”
Liora shook her head, “It really wasn’t me, it was Freya.”
At this point, she could only deny it adamantly.
“I swear to God, if I’m lying, let me be struck by lightning and suffer torment, may I never have a peaceful death.” She kept exining, even raising her hand to swear, hoping that Rn would believe her.
But Rn wasn’t in the mood to listen now. After all, he had just found out that he had lost his child because of Liora. He felt angry and unwilling to ept the truth.
“Come back with me.”
He forcefully pulled Liora into the car.
“Rn, please believe me, you have to believe me.” Liora’s tears flowed uncontrobly.N?velDrama.Org copyrighted ? content.
Whenever she cried, Rn would soften. But not this time. He forcefully pushed her into the car.
…
At the hospital. Freya had a splitting headache. Encountering Liora so early in the morning was just too much for her. She pressed her temples with force. Ronan didn’t expect Freya to stille to work today. He held breakfast for his mother in his hand and walked over when he saw Freya.
“You’re in the mood to work? Isn’t Elijah angry with you?” Ronan grinned.
Freya red at him, “Why did you send those pictures to Elijah? Are you out of your mind?”
Ronan wasn’t angry either. It was normal for Freya to be upset, and he understood.
“How many times did Elijah hurt me in the past? How many times did he make me suffer? I’m just repaying him a bit.” Ronan shrugged, “Is Elijah angry with you? Did he explode in anger?”
