    "Sir, Mrs. Selina from the H King Group is waiting for you. She''s in your office right now," Ivy blurted


    out. That''s exactly the reason why Ivy waited for him by the elevators. She didn''t want to be alone with

    Ivy shook her head as she followed Lawrence into the president''s exclusive elevator.


    Lawrence stepped out of the elevator as soon as the doors opened to his office on the top of floor of


    the JC Building. His door was already wide open and he could see a familiar silhouette by the window.


    "Aunt Selina," Lawrence greeted as he entered the office.


    Selina turned around at the sound of Lawrence''s voice. "Hello, Lawrence," Selina greeted him.


    Lawrence approached Selina and kissed on the cheek. "Tell me, Lawrence," Selina asked. "Do you


    always arrivete to work?"


    "Just once in a while," Lawrence defended himself. He would have arrived earlier but Aria''s angry


    outburst put him in a bad mood.


    Lawrence pulled up a chair for Selina to sit down before he took his chair at his desk.


    Selina faced Lawrence when she asked, "What have you been keeping yourself busy withtely,


    Lawrence?"


    "Nothing much, Aunt Selina," Lawrence answered. He tried his best to not look directly at Selina''s eyes


    to avoid more questioning. It seemed like Selina was here to ask him a lot of questions.


    "Are you sure about that?" Selina pushed. "I''ve heard different otherwise."


    Lawrence was right about the questions. He finally looked Selina in the eyes and asked, "What have


    you heard from other people?"


    I heard that you purchased a very expensive ne at a charity auction for a woman who wasn''t


    your girlfriend. And in front of everyone in the audience. Is that true?" Selina asked. Selina actually


    knew about everything that happened at the charity auction already. And she knew that the woman in


    question was a woman named Anna, who was also Lawrence''s ssmate from kindergarten.


    "Yes, it''s true," Lawrence replied with honesty. He chose to be honest and admit it to Selina. News


    spread fast in this city and a lot of people were watching him. It was impossible to hide anything from


    Selina.


    "Why did you do it?" Selina continued to ask. "Who is that woman? Are you nning to marry her?"


    Selina wanted to be subtle with her questions but what she really wanted to know was the answer to


    thest one. She cared about Lawrence and she always worried about his future marriage. He might


    be with Aria now but everyone knew he would never marry Aria. Anna was more suited for him,


    especially with her family background.


    "Aunt Selina," Lawrence called out, his eyes bore into Selina''s. He wanted to be straight with Selina.


    He knew how smart she was, and he also believed she had already known everything before she came


    to him.


    "Do you want me to marry her?" Lawrence asked.


    But before she could say more, Lawrence continued to talk, "I''m sure you already know about


    everything that happened that day so there''s no need to pretend that you don''t. And I believe you


    already know who Anna is and her family. You''ve already investigated before you came here, right,

    "You''ve always been such a smart boy, Lawrence," Selina answered. She was embarrassed that


    Lawrence saw through her lies and interrogation but she continued, "Do you think your Aunt Selina is


    so powerful, I already know everything?"


    Lawrence nodded. "Of course, Aunt Selina. You wouldn''t be running apany by yourself if you


    weren''t," Lawrence replied.


    "Okay, you got me, I''ll tell you what I know then," Selena finally admitted and faced Lawrence. Selina


    continued, "Anna was your ssmate in kindergarten, wasn''t she? And with a nice family background,


    too. I heard that her family moved back and transferred their head office to this city. They''ve organized


    a business party in three days. I expect we''ll receive our invitation soon. You''ll be going to the party,


    won''t you?"


    "Probably," Lawrence answered. There''s a high probability that he would be attending the party


    because his friends were going to be there. If he had an invitation, then his friends were going to be


    invited, too. How could he not attend if his friends were going?

    "We will be thrilled, of course. Anna fits all the standards to be your wife. And even though your parents


    are in Hong Kong, there''s no need to worry. Your Uncle Wilson and I can arrange the wedding for you if


    you want to get married to Anna," Selina replied. Anna really was the suitable partner for Lawrence


    since she studied business abroad and was even known as a legendary queen of finance.


    "What if I don''t love her, Aunt Selina?" Lawrence asked this time.


    "If you didn''t love her, why did you buy that expensive ne for her? And why did you hug her in


    front of all those people? Tell me, Lawrence. Were you in love with her years ago?" Selina interrogated
