Chapter 881 I Can Only Get Away From This If You Die (Part One)

Greg sighed in resignation. He didn''t have a choice but to ept Sharon''s suggestion.

"Fine! But remember to text me theplete address," he then said. He wanted to make sure that she

    didn''t forget.

"Of course. You take care of your dad for now. I''ll be back tomorrow," Sharon said in a delightful voice.

    "Okay, I will," Greg answered.

After he hung up the phone, Greg looked at his father but didn''t say anything.

However, Fred had already heard everything about his conversation with Sharon so there was really no

need to tell. Fred just patted his son''s shoulder and said, "It''s great that Sharon ising back soon."

Then Fred looked up to the sky with eagerness in his eyes.

On the other hand, Greg was worried about Sharon. He knew that the longer she stayed there, the

more that she was putting herself in danger. But he couldn''t think of a more practical solution at this

moment. He was also worried that Sally might discover their ns if he would do something. So the

best thing he could do for now was to drop the idea of bringing Sharon back.

    In Sally''s apartment.

Sharon was still mulling over what Fred had said. Joy filled her eyes and she almost forgot that Sally

was with her. She seemed to be lost in her thoughts. Yes, he was her son. Although she was not his

biological mother, she loved him like she would her own son.

"You look so happy," Sallymented in a cold voice. "Yes, you''re right," Sharon agreed.

"My son just called. He wants me to go back home. Now I know that he also cares for me." Sharon was

too happy to notice Sally''s expression. Then she added, "Sally, you also heard what he told me on the

phone. I''m afraid I can only stay with you until tonight. I have to go back home tomorrow. But don''t

worry, you can always call me anytime if you need someone to talk to or you want to go out for a drink."

When Sally heard what Sharon just said, she asked, "What about our n?"

Sharon waved her hand casually and answered, "Sally, you don''t need me in your whole n. I think

you will just be fine without me. I''m not an essential part in your n anyway."

The expression on Sally''s face didn''t changed at all when she heard Sharon''s answer. Instead, her

    eyes turned deep.

Silence enveloped the room. But after a while, Sally spoke up, "Okay, if you say so. But since you are

still staying until tonight, I want to cook dinner for you. Just take it as a symbol of my gratitude."

She turned to look at Sharon with a slight smile on her face.

When Sharon saw Sally smiled, she happily grabbed her hand and said, "Yes, I''ll still be here until

tonight. Of course, you are my best friend. I can''t leave you just that easy."

"Yes, we are best friends," Sally agreed. "That''s why you have to let me cook for you tonight. I want to

    cook for my best friend."

"No, that''s too much of a trouble for you. Let''s just eat outside perhaps," Sharon countered without

    thinking too much.

"Sharon, allow me to cook for you this time. This is my only chance to thank you," Sally insisted. "You

know that I only have one friend in this city and that is you. Honestly, I don''t want you to go. But after

hearing your conversation with your son on the phone, I know you really have to leave no matter what.

So, allow me to cook for you just this once."

"Sally," Sharon uttered Sally''s name. She was so moved by what she said. She was well aware that

    Sally rarely cooked.

"Okay, it''s settled then. I''ll go buy some groceries now," Sally immediately said when she noticed that

Sharon was almost giving in. "Why don''t you clean up the room a little while I''m away so you won''t get

    bored?" She even suggested.

"Sure, I will," Sharon agreed. "Sally, I actually don''t know what to say. Thank you," she emotionally

    added.

Sally just nodded her head and smiled.

Then she walked into her room. She sat before the dresser and looked herself in the mirror. She looked

very confident while staring at her reflection.

Then she took out a box from one of the drawers and opened it.

There was a small bottle of drug inside. A crooked smile appeared at the corner of her mouth as she

    held it in her hand.

"I actually saved this for Lawrence. But since the ns have changed, I think I have to use it today,"

Sally said to herself. Actually, she bought three bottles of this drug but she had already used the two.

This was the only one left so she had to get rid of this quickly.

    Dinner time.

Sharon was amazed to see how much food was on the table. She almost couldn''t believe that Sally

prepared them all alone. "Sally, how nice of you to prepare such a sumptuous dinner. But I''m afraid that

it will be more than enough for us to eat," shemented with genuine gratefulness in her voice.

"Well, I just thought that it might take a long time before we could have dinner together again. So for

me this dinner is the most important. That''s why I cooked all the dishes that I know how to cook," Sally

exined. "Let''s eat?" she added then handed Sharon a bowl of soup.

"You are right. When I get back home, I need to spend more time with my family so I might find it

difficult to be with you often. You know, I also have to take care of my husband," agreed Sharon. She

felt joy in her heart as she thought of Fred. She couldn''t wait to be with him again. Then she added,

"But every time I am free, I''ll call you. I promise you that."

Sally just smiled and pointed her the bowl of soup. Then she urged her, "Try the soup. Tell me if you

    like it."
