    Lawrence elegantly walked in the JC Group building. He was wearing a dark navy suit. Every employee


    who passed by him would nod and greet him.

    When the "ding-dong" sound was heard, the elevator door opened. Lawrence walked out of the


    elevator and went directly to his office. The moment he reached his office, he saw Ivy sitting on her


    desk and working while Polly was sitting in front of his office door.


    Polly immediately stood up and greeted Lawrence when she saw him, "Hello, Mr. Lawrence."


    Ivy also quickly stood up, looked at Lawrence and said, "Hello, Mr. Lawrence."


    Lawrence peered at Ivy and said, "Come to my office now."


    Ivy was astonished. She pointed at herself in puzzlement and asked, "Me?" But Lawrence didn''t


    answer and only turned his back on her and walked inside his office.


    Ivy and Polly couldn''t help but exchange a wondering look. Then Polly said in a low voice, "Go there


    quickly or else he will be mad at you."


    "Oh, okay," Ivy replied nkly then hastily tidied up her table and walked into the CEO''s office.


    Lawrence was already seated in his swivel chair. He stared at Ivy who was standing right in front of


    him. He couldn''t understand why but he only wanted to keep on staring at her.


    Ivy felt awkward because of Lawrence''s stare, so she asked, "Mr. Lawrence, is there anything you want


    me to do?" She dared not look straight into his eyes so she looked around.


    Lawrence coldly answered, "The JC Group will be holding a party tomorrow evening."


    Ivy nodded her head. She already heard about this event this morning, "Yes I know."


    "You have to go with me to the party," Lawrence simply ordered.


    "Me?" Ivy was stunned. She didn''t want to sound like she had some hearing problems but she just


    couldn''t believe his words.


    "Is there any problem with that?" Lawrence asked. He was wondering why she always acted so silly.


    Ivy hastily replied, "No, there''s no problem." Then she added in a very low voice, "I was just surprised


    because I didn''t expect to join such a bigpany party since I am just new here. I''ve heard that this


    party will be hosted by the filmpany of the JC Group."


    When he noticed that Ivy was murmuring, Lawrence got pissed off so he said, "Ivy, if you have


    something to say, say it louder."


    "No, no, no. I have nothing to say, Mr. Lawrence," Ivy politely replied. Thest person she wanted to


    piss off was her boss. Polly told her some things about Lawrence yesterday. Although she was also


    curious about him, she was more afraid of him.


    "You already know what to wear, right?" Lawrence asked with furrowed brows. He was actually


    displeased to see Ivy''s outfit. He felt that even though she was really beautiful, she didn''t have any


    fashion sense at all.


    Ivy peeked at him first, afraid that he might yell at her. Then she answered, "It seems that...I should


    wear an evening dress."


    Lawrence was speechless for a few seconds then he sarcastically asked, "Why did Alice even hire

    "She thought I was hardworking so she invited me to herpany," Ivy replied proudly. She actually


    couldn''t understand that he was being sarcastic.


    The truth was, Lawrence was only teasing her so he wasn''t expecting her to answer. He felt more


    annoyed so he replied in a wrathful voice, "You can go out now." But before Ivy could turn her back to


    leave, he added, "If you ruin the party, I won''t let you go easily."


    "Okay," Ivy replied. She nodded her head and hastily left Lawrence''s office.


    The moment Ivy left his office, the telephone on his table rang.


    "Hello," Lawrence answered.


    A professional voice of a man came at the other end of the line, "Mr. Lawrence, we''ve already sent the


    invitation to the Xiao Family as you ordered."


    "What n does the filmpany have?" Lawrence asked. He wanted to make sure that everything


    would happen ording to his desire.


    "They will invite several new actors as well as Reba who is currently the most popr star."


    "Okay," Lawrence replied. Then he hung up the phone without waiting for the man to say anything


    more.


    In the evening, Greg Xiao drove back to the Xiao Family. The moment he walked inside the house, he


    saw his father and his aunt sitting in the living room. He could see a smile on his aunt''s face.


    As Sharon saw him, she happily walked to him and greeted, "Hello, Greg. You''re back."


    "Yes," Greg replied with a nod. Then he went to his father and greeted him, "Father."


    Fred said, ''You''re back. Have a seat. The dinner will be ready in a moment."


    "Okay," Greg agreed.


    Sharon went to them and sat next to Fred. She dly held his arm and said, "Fred, will Greg go with us


    tomorrow night?"


    Greg was confused and looked at them. He didn''t know he was going somewhere tomorrow night.


    Fred ignored her question and looked at Greg. At first he found it difficult to tell him about it but


    eventually he said, "Greg, the JC Group has invited our whole family to a party."


    "Party?" Greg was surprised. He had no idea that a party would be held.
