Chapter 788 Thank You For Saving Me (Part One)

Chapter 788 Thank You For Saving Me (Part One)

"Both? That''s not an option," Cassie responded gruffly.

Facing Cassie''s hideous expression, Violet didn''t feel scared. Instead, she thought there was no need

to waste time arguing with Cassie there.

"I came here to meet Francis, not you. But since he isn''t here, I have to go," Violet blurted as she

struggled to shove Cassie back and take leave.

Cassie grasped Violet''s arms and yelled at her fiercely, "Do you think I''ll let you leave?"

"Let me go," Violet screamed trying to break out of the furious woman''s arms.

But instead of letting go, Cassie tightened her grip with one arm and pulled Violet''s hair with another

    hand.

"Let me go, Cassie. Get your hands off me," Violet screeched while struggling to break free.

"Let you go? And why don''t you let Greg go? Greg is mine. Give him back to me," Cassie howled.

Suddenly Cassie noticed the sharp corner of the table on which stood a blue ss flower vase. An evil

thought urred to her mind. ''Will Violet lose her baby if she bumps into the edge in the belly?'' she

    wondered.

The malevolence in Cassie''s expression grew even more ferocious as she pushed Violet into the table.

With a painful screech, Violet rammed into the wall and copsed onto her knees. As she leaned

against the wall, her right hand on her belly, pain rushed through her body like someone had ignited a

    raging fire on her inside.

Judging by the anguished look on Violet''s face, Cassie knew that her n worked. However, she didn''t

let Violet go easily. Drawing nearer, she pulled the pale-faced woman''s hand and gave her a hard push.

Atst, Violet ran into the corner of the table again.

At that moment, Violet lost all of her strength. Overwhelmed by pain, she sank to the ground with a pale

    face.

Sitting on the ground, she looked with pleading eyes. "You hurts me, Cassie!" She cried. "Somebody,

help please!" she implored in a weak, low voice.

"Who''s here to help? Me? Save you? I want you dead, bitch! Are you forgetting it''s Greg we are fighting

over and I want him back by all means? And I mean all means, including seeing you dead, if that''s

what it''s gonna take," Cassie gloated. She then made her way to the desk and grabbed the flower

    vase.

Watching Cassie approach, brandishing the vase in one hand, terror gripped Violet like a cluster of

spark plugs had gone off in her heart. Tension increased in her face, and her limbs went numb as she

trembled in horror. "What, What are you doing?" she faltered.

"I will kill your unborn baby. And after I''m done, I promise you, you''ll never, ever conceive again,"

Cassie replied with a sinister look on her face. Kneeling down on one leg, she lifted the vase in the air

and with crushing force hit Violet in the belly.

Dead silence descended upon the room as Violet cked out. Briefly, Cassie stood there, towering

over her enemy, blinded by senseless rage. Disdainfully, she rubbed her palms together and turned

around to make sure no one was watching.

Staring at the unconscious Violet, a satisfied smile formed at the corners of Cassie''s lips.

"You''re not much of an opponent. By this little experience, I have barely warned you to stay away from

Greg. If you ever think that you and I could share his love, I''ll deal with you ruthlessly. For now,

consider yourself luckier than Tina. At least, for the loss of your baby, I''ll spare you the pain of gang

rape," Cassie said insolently, fixing a contemptuous gaze on Violet. She grabbed her handbag and left

the room, with no qualms whatsoever.

At the Cantonese restaurant, Francis drove into the parking, killed the engine and left the car. As he

walked into the restaurant, he looked around to find a few guests inside.

"Hello, sir," a waiter greeted him at the door. "How many in yourpany today?" the waiter inquired

    respectfully.

"Just two of us. But my friend hasn''t arrived yet," Francis replied, looking at his Hublot ck Caviar

Bang. ''It''s 6:55 pm. Violet must be on her way, '' he guessed.

"This way, please," the waiter said, as he ushered Francis to an empty table.

When they walked past the front table, Francis overheard the cashier''s conversation with the hall

    manager.

"Miss Cassie booked No.6 of the second floor. Don''t let anyone close to that room,"manded the

manager. In fact, it was Cassie''s instruction. She had paid a huge sum of money, the equivalent of

three monthsbined ie for the whole restaurant.

"I get it. Is Miss Cassie alone inside the room?" the cashier asked.

"No, she isn''t alone. She is in thepany of her friend- Miss Violet," the manager answered. He

remembered Cassie told him Violet Chu was the friend she''d be staying with.

Standing still behind the manager, Francis immediately froze.

The cashier was curious when she noticed that Francis was behind her manager. ''He is a guest, but

why is he standing here? Is he going to pay the bill?'' she wondered.

"Hello, sir, may I help you?" she asked courteously.

Upon hearing what the cashier had said, the manager realized that a guest was standing behind him.

He turned around and smiled at Francis politely.

A look of shock was written on Francis''s face. With his eyes glued on the manager, he asked, "Has

    Cassie Zheng been here?"

"Yes," the manager said, nodding. ''Does he know Miss Cassie?'' he wondered.

"Is Violet Chu here?" Francis asked with knitted brows. Instinctively, Francis concluded that something

bad must have happened between them even though he hated to believe. Now he wished Violet wasn''t

here. But he thought the manager didn''t lie to him.

"Yes, she is here. She is Cassie''s friend," the manager replied, wondering why the man was raising

    these questions.
