Chapter 733 Meeting Cassie At The Party (Part One)

"Greg," called Cassie merrily from behind Greg.

Greg turned around and saw Cassie. With eyes beaming with amazement, he asked with furrowed

brows,"Cassie! What are you doing here? Who invited you to this party?"

Greg never expected Cassie would appear there. He didn''t invite her, nor did the JS Group. ''What''s

going on?'' he wondered with a baffled expression.

"My cousin received your invitation. I came here with him," Cassie replied, ignoring the fact that Greg

was displeased to see her there. She was so d to finally meet him.

"Who is your cousin?" Greg asked, confounded. ''She has a cousin in this city? Why did I never hear

    about this earlier?'' he wondered.

"His name is Francis. We came back from abroad a few days ago," Cassie answered.

Greg tried to remember if he knew someone by that name. He didn''t know many rich young men from

the upper ss. And he''d never heard about this Francis from anyone.

Judging by Greg''s expression, Cassie assumed what he was thinking.

"Francis owns an international investmentpany abroad. After we decided to return, hispany

was settled here. That''s why he was invited," Cassie said. If it wasn''t Greg asking, she wouldn''t have

    wasted her time in exining.

Satisfied with her exnation, Greg heaved a sigh of relief inside. He looked around and noticed that

there were only a few guests around him. He didn''t want the others to misunderstand his rtionship

with her. After all, so many people kept an eye on him.

"Well then, thank you foring. I hope you enjoy yourself tonight," Greg said courteously. He turned

around and started to walk away.

Surprised by Greg''s behavior, Cassie leaned forward and held his arms. "Why are you dodging me,

Greg? Am I a stranger to you now?" she asked with a wronged look.

Greg shook her hands off violently. "Can''t you understand why I''m avoiding you? I know why you are

here. But this party is being held to celebrate my marriage with my wife. I hope you will behave

yourself," he replied, taking a close look at Cassie.

"Behave myself?" Cassie repeated bitterly,"Do you really have any idea why I''m doing all this? When

you were helpless and sad, I was there to look after you. When you were too busy to have lunch in the

canteen, I bought food for you, in spite of the harsh weather. When you sat on the tone bench shivering

in the cold, I put my coat on you. When you were admitted in the hospital with a fever, I kept you

Greg remained silent. Those terrible and painful memories crept up on him. He did owe her a lot.

Meanwhile, on the second floor, Francis blocked Violet''s path in the bathroom.

Francis studied Violet and looked her from top to bottom. She was d in a ck stylish evening dress,

with light make-up. As the incandescent light simmered down on her gorgeous face, she looked more

    eye-catching than before.

"I never expected that you would look so striking after dressing up," Francismented with a wicked

smile on his face. As he kept looking at her, he had an impulse to kiss her pink lips.

"What rotten luck! We meet again, frivolous guy," Violet spat, flying into a rage. ''Why do I always have

to bump into him in the rest room?'' she frowned.

"You seem to be in a bad mood," Francis teased, as he grabbed Violet''s wrist.

"What are you doing? Get your hands off me!" Violet shouted at him.

However, no one was around in the second floor except them. Most people were having conversations

in the lobby, and the rest were ying in the pool.

"Let you go? You look so saucy today. What kind of a fool would let you go?" Francis smirked, as he

drew nearer. He couldn''t control himself and kept moving closer to her.

"What are you doing? Stay away from me!" Violet screamed, as she stepped back.

But Francis paid no heed to her protest. Instead, he pushed Violet to the corner between the French

window and the wall. He reached out and rested his hands on the wall on either side of her. There was

no way for her to flee. There was a window on her right and the wall was behind her. Francis stood

right in front of her. Even if she struggled, she couldn''t escape from him. An evil smile appeared at the

    corners of his lips.

Francis slowly lowered his head and approached her. Violet felt terrified. ''Help me, Greg. Where are

    you?'' she yelled silently.

Violet shifted her gaze away from Francis and stared outside the window. All of a sudden, her attention

was drawn by a sight by the pool where Greg had agreed to wait for her.

The window was crystal clear and she could see everything clearly.

Violet trembled, her eyes resting on the man''s back near the pool. She recognized him immediately.

Francis stared at the shivering Violet. She looked surprised, but not panicked. He noticed that she

wasn''t looking at him anymore. ''Why is she staring at the window? What is she looking at?'' he thought.

He followed the direction of Violet''s gaze. The scene that was unfolding downstairs left him speechless.

It looked like a romantic moment. With her arms around the man''s neck, the woman was kissing him

affectionately on her tiptoes. The man stood motionless in the dim light. Francis could only see the

    man''s back.

Violet had a clear image of half of the woman''s face. She was a beauty with delicate make-up and she

was dressed for the asion. ''And she is kissing my husband, '' she thought wryly.

Heartbroken, Violet couldn''t hold back anymore. Tears flowed out of her eyes. Clenching her fists, she

mulled desperately, ''This party is to celebrate our marriage. How could you do this to me?''

Francis recognized the woman as Cassie. He surmised that the man she was kissing must be Greg. As

far as he knew, Greg was the only one who could make his cousin do such a crazy thing. But he didn''t

understand why the woman in front of him was crying at that sight. ''It''s strange to see her act like that, ''

    he thought.
