Chapter 682 Sympathy Or Love (Part One)
Not getting a response from Greg gave Tina more confidence than earlier, so, she continued,"Greg, I''ll
help you examine your thoughts. First, even though you are quite a handsome man, you weren''t
trapped in any love scandals while you were overseas for so many years which tells me you are not a
yboy. Furthermore, in my opinion, you are different from other boys with wealthy family background.
You are pragmatic, and kindhearted, which may be rted to your career choice, after all, doctors are
willing to save others and generallypassionate.
After listening to Tina drone on, Greg didn''t know what Tina had wanted to say. Immediately, he
asked,"Tina, what was it you wanted to say?"
"You don''t get what I mean? After everything I just said, isn''t it clear?" Tina replied in exasperation, and
her expression turned gloomy. "I''m telling you that what you feel for Violet is not love at all, it''s
sympathy."
Sympathy?
What Tina said shocked the other three people on the ward. With an incredible look on his face, Greg
stared at Tina and a hint of anger gradually rose in his heart. He never felt sympathy for Violet, and he
didn''t believe what Tina said for a minute! He sympathized with his patients, but, he never felt sorry for
Violet!
The only thought that struck Violet as she stared at Tina was that Tina knew what had happened to her.
The reason why Tina said those words was that she knew about the scars on her body. Violet didn''t
know how much sympathy she had received from her ssmates when she was in elementary school
and junior high school. All those people were youngdies from affluent families, and she knew that
they sympathized with her even though they were very polite to her on the surface. However, she never
thought Greg''s feelings for her were sympathy like her ssmates. Because Greg was always kind to
her, and she didn''t think his attitude changed after what she had experienced.
Tina hadpletely confused Roger, who was lying in the hospital bed. What was going on? Why
would Greg feel sympathy for Violet? Was it because Greg thought Violet was from a low-ie
family? To Roger, Violet didn''t need sympathy, even if she was from an impoverished family. He had
known Violet a long time, and although she never wore clothes, jewelry that were name brand, he didn''t
think she was poor. Violet''s intelligence, personality, and even her thoughtfulness were invaluable. How
could anyone refer to her as poor? But then, he knew Tina very well too, and if she was saying those
things, then she had a good reason for thinking that Greg was sympathetic toward Violet.
"Tina, what''re you talking about?" Roger asked finally out of curiosity.
"Oh Roger, you didn''t know what happened to Violet either?" asked Tina. She thought Roger knew
about the scars on Violet''s body, but his response just now told her otherwise. She was d that she
wouldn''t need to worry about her brother''s feelings towards Violet after she told him the truth. After
Roger knew there were scars on Violet''s body, she was sure his feelings for her would change,
because the Gu Family would never ept an imperfect daughter-inw.
"What the hell is going on?" demanded Roger.
"Violet is Jackson''s daughter, and her body..." suddenly, Tina stopped,"Smack"! Tina stood there with
her face stinging.

Violet pped Tina across the face ring fiercely at her. Violet shocked herself with her behavior. She
wasn''t her usual gentle self, and didn''t know how she got from behind Greg to be standing in front of
Tina.
"Violet! How dare you smack me!?!" shouted Tina reproachfully while staring back at Viole in disbelief.
"Why can''t I?" Violet retorted. She didn''t intend to escape Tina''s stare. On the contrary, she was full of
confidence and righteous anger as she faced Tina now. "Tina, what right do you have discussing my
affairs? You are ady from a prominent family, can''t you be respectful to others? Are you pleased with
yourself, pouring salt to other people''s wounds?"
"Yes! I''m thrilled to add salt to your wounds! You stole my fiancé! He is even not willing to look at me
now, and is with you all the time! So, how can I be happy with that? Because I''m unhappy, I need to do
this to make myself happy," Tina said bluntly. Since never thought she was wrong, Tina didn''t believe
she was in the wrong by exposing Violet''s scars.
"Tina, you are a certified psychopath!" snapped Violet. For the first time in her life someone had
crossed the line with her.
"Haha, whatever you say," Tina said flippantly. "Anyway, you know the reason Greg wants to be with
you is he feels sympathetic to you. Did he learn stic surgery for you too? That proves it''s sympathy.
Violet, do you still believe Greg sees you as the love of his life in his heart?"
Standing there, silently, with tears streaming down her face, Violet couldn''t find words to express the
deep pain she felt in her heart at that moment.
Tina''s words struck her, and she wondered if Tina could be right. Violet had never considered that the
reason Greg wanted to be with her was that he felt sorry for her. But now, she wasn''t as sure of how he
felt.
"Why are you crying? Do you think your tears are valuable and I will feel bad for you too? Maybe, your
tears work on your parents, but, to me, you just appear more pathetic. So Violet, put your tears away.
From now on, I willpete with you for Greg, fairly. Oh no, it can''t be a fairpetition, can it,
because I have more advantages than you. Greg will be my boyfriend! You''ll see!" dered Tina as if
she were challenging Violet to a fight. Tina thought to herself that she would never give up, even if
Tina''s opponent were Jackson''s daughter because the GR Group was a greatpany in the city too.
Add to that; Tina was a returnee, a famous painter, with a specific taste and temperament. She didn''t
think Violet could defeat her in thepetition for Greg.
"Tina, I will tell you one time only, I want to live a quiet, ordinary life. If you dare reveal that to others
and make me live with gossip, you will never escape my wrath!" threatened Violet and then shoved
Tina as she ran out of the ward.
"Violet!" Roger shouted after her. He was still lying in bed and couldn''t move, so, he couldn''t get out of
the bed to chase after Violet.
As for Greg, he had been staring at Tina with hatred in his eyes the whole time.
When Tina looked into Greg''s eyes, she couldn''t help but shiver in fear because of the terrible look in
his eyes.
"G-Greg," stammered Tina in a low voice.
