Chapter 632 Farewell At The Airport (Part Three)
Lawrence took out his textbook and started his morning readings.
Not muchter, Mike walked in. His school bag hung on his back as he listened to music through his
headphones. Dropping his bag on a desk, he walked straight over to Lawrence and sat down on the
seat next to him.
"Do you always need to study so hard? You would stille first even if your nose wasn''t buried in
books," Mike teased him. It bothered him how hard Lawrence studied.
"Yes, of course. I know that. Unfortunately, you would nevere first in exams even if you studied
hard," Lawrence joked, closing his book. He turned to Mike,"Why are you sitting here?"
"Your seat mate has note yet so I can sit here if I want to," Mike said indifferently. He assumed

Lawrence had talked to his parents about studying overseas. Mike wanted to discuss his future ns
with his friend before talking to his father about it.
Lawrence changed the topic. He had something more important to discuss with Mike today.
"My formalities for going abroad are under progress. You should hurry up too," Lawrence exined.
"What?" Mike was shocked at what he heard. "Howe you''ve told me sote? You should have told
me the moment you started with the formalities! That way we can go together."
"I got the news from my parents justst night. If you want to go to the same school as me, tell your
father to ask my parents about it," Lawrence said tly. He was certain that if Mike told his father about
it, thetter would find a way for his son to study in the same school.
"Okay, that''s a good idea. I''ll call my father now," Uttering these words, Mike took out his cell phone
and dialed his father''s phone number as Lawrence watched.
"Hello, old man," Mike greeted his father arrogantly.
"Why are you calling me at this time?" Mike''s father questioned him angrily. He had long been used to
his son''s insolence.
"Lawrence just told me his parents were helping him go through the formalities of going abroad. Could
you ask his parents which school they have selected for him? I want to go to the same school too,"
Mike said urgently.
"All right, I see. I have to handle some business affairs near the JC Group office. I will drop in on
Jackson then."
"Cool. Just go ahead. I''ll hang up."
Immediately, Mike ended the call, interrupting what his father had started to speak on the other end of
the line. He turned to Lawrence. "It''s all set."
"Your father is very powerful," Lawrencemented casually.
"Of course. If he wasn''t, how would I be living like a prince?" Mike smirked, showing off.
Lawrence rolled his eyes, unable to stand his smugness. He was busy and had no energy to y
around with Mike.
"Fine, go back to your seat now. Behave well. Let''s end our junior year on a good note," Lawrence
said.
"Yeah yeah. I want a perfect ending too, not a rude surprise," Mike mumbled, heading back to his seat.
Two weekster
Lawrence and Mike stood inside the airport hall of the international terminal. Their travel bags were
slung over their backs.
Violet took Lawrence''s hand, reluctant to let him go.
Jackson and Cherry stood with their eyes downcast but didn''t let their sadness show.
"Lawrence and Mike, you have to take good care of each other abroad," Violet told them. Sadness
flickered in her eyes. She didn''t want her brother to leave at all.
"Okay, you take care too," Mike replied, nodding.
Lawrence looked at Violet with affection. "Violet, you should be happy even when I''m not here with you.
Understand? Remember I''ll always love you."
"Yes brother," Violet said resolutely. "I''ll miss you."
Lawrence''s eyes welled up with tears. He moved forward and hugged Violet tightly.
Mike stood aside in silence. He understood how guilty Lawrence felt. If Mike had a little sister, he
wouldn''t want to leave her behind either.
After a long time, Lawrence let go of Violet.
"Joe, don''t forget to call me when you get there," Cherry said, standing beside him.
"All right," Lawrence nodded and reached out to hug his mother.
"Take care and study hard. Don''t let me down," Cherry whispered andid her head on her son''s
shoulder. She felt so distressed that she could hardly express it in words.
"Mom, don''t worry. I always make you proud, don''t I?" Lawrence was not too concerned. His father was
there with her mother and sister. "Dad is here with you. He won''t let you miss me too much."
Cherryughed silently. "You don''t need to worry about us. Just take care," she said, teary-eyed.
"I will," Lawrence replied.
He didn''t go to hug his father as they exchanged a meaningful look. Lawrence already knew what his
father wanted to say.
"Mike, you take care too. If there is anything urgent, just call us. Okay?" Cherry told him gently. Mike''s
father was preupied and couldn''te to see him off. The Chu family members were here instead.
Mike had been friends with Lawrence since kindergarten. He was such a well-behaved boy. Cherry
liked him a lot and regarded him as her own.
"Aunt Cherry, I know that. Don''t worry. We''ll help each other. Everything will be fine," Mike reassured
her. He was used to being alone and was not surprised or disappointed to know that his father wasn''t
"Well, that''s good," Cherry beamed and nodded.
"Time is almost up. You guys should go in now." Jackson nced at his watch. If they didn''t go in at
once, they could miss the ne.
"Yes, we should go," Mike said.
Lawrence was still reluctant to leave his sister. He looked at Violet and hesitated.
Cherry understood what her son was thinking. "Joe, don''t worry. I will take good care of her. Hurry up or
you''ll miss the ne!" she said.
"Okay, Mom." Lawrence smiled at Violet. "Violet, stay happy like you always are," he said dotingly.
"Yes, I will." Violet wore a warm smile on her lips. Thest thing Lawrence saw before he turned around
was her innocent face. Violet was pleased for him from the bottom of her heart. The scars on her body
or the awful things that had happened to her before didn''t matter so much. After all, she had such a
good brother. She was d to be so lucky.
