Chapter 552 The Wedding Is Over (Part One)

In an unassuming corner of the hall, Hellen had her eyes fixed on Jackson. She had been watching

Cherry''s husband for at least half an hour now, nursing her crystal goblet. She observed him quietly

and discreetly, deliberately noticing every move and smile.

''It''s been a long time since I observed him. Unfortunately, he''s a married man. I can''t flirt with him

without destroying his life. My mission is to watch him carefully, without getting him into trouble, after

all, '' she mused to herself, her eyes still trained on Jackson.

As the wedding ceremony had finished, the guests began to leave once they had finished their dinners.

Standing before the window in the corridor, Derek gazed down at the view, lost in thought. ''It feels so

weird. My sister is now married, to another man. She is going to live in his house instead of ours. I hate

to separate from her. How I wish that we could live together, forever!''

"Derek," Selina called, breaking him out of his thoughts. She tilted her head at him, seeing only the

    back of him.

Selina''s voice made Derek turn around to see his sister approaching him.

"Are you free now?" Derek asked. He knew the duties of the bride would have kept Selina busy today.

Since the feast was over now, she had the responsibility of escorting the guests to the exits.

"Yeah. Actually, I don''t have much to do at the moment. Elsa and Jacob are apanying the guests

to the door for me. So I came here," she answered, her voicecking her usual sweetness. She was

    a married woman, a grown-up.

Slightly embarrassed, Derek tried to put on an air of formality. "Selina, be a sensible and dutiful wife in

the Yuwen Family. You can always visit me when you miss me," he told her. He wasn''t sure what else

to say. What would one say to their now-married sister when he was sure she was just his spoiled

    sibling only hours before?

"Derek, what are you talking about? The Lu Family''s residence is still my home too. I will frequently go

back. Don''t think I''ve left our family just because I''m married to Wilson now. My name is Selina Lu and

don''t you forget it!" Selina lectured passionately. Derek watched her turn back to his spoiled sister

    again.

Derek held up his hands in surrender. "When you''re right, you''re right," he yielded, with no intention of

    displeasing his favorite sister.

"Derek," Selina continued seriously. "I announced my decision at the wedding." Her eyes shed with

realisation. "You''re annoyed at me, aren''t you? I had you take over the JS Group without even asking

    you first."

A warm smile adorning his moonlit features, Derek stroked his dear sister''s face. "You silly little girl," he

cooed gently. "How could I me you? Since you''ve intended to give up on JS Group, I''ll take

responsibility for it and try my best at managing it. After all, I am the owner of JS Group."

Selina had long suspected that JS Group was owned by the Lu Family, instead of the Chu Family. And

now, Derek had confirmed her suspicions. ''I had first thought the registered capital of JS Group was

from Jackson.'' It wasn''t until Jackson had founded the JC Group to enter the entertainment industry did

she doubt that Derek had founded the JS Group. She thought that perhaps her brother was so close

with Jackson that he didn''t pay attention to the title. Now, Selina didn''t mind this either. After all, she

and Jackson were family now too. Having married Wilson, she was now Jackson''s sister-inw.

Besides, Jackson got on so well with Selina and Derek. She thought that she had tried her best to

manage JS Group and she could leave it to Derek without feeling guilty, disregarding whoever owned

thepany. She was also confident that Derek was capable of handling the job.

"Derek, I had guessed that JS Group was yours and Jackson in fact didn''t provide the capital," Selina

told him calmly and casually, as if she had known the truth for a long time.

It wasn''t surprising to Derek that Selina was soposed. He knew she was a very shrewd girl and it

wasn''t imusible that she could have figured out in just one day.

"When you returned from your time abroad, I didn''t reveal it to you because I was afraid that you might

grow too stressed. You and many others were convinced that Jackson was the real boss of our

"I know. The three of us are indeed very close. Jackson is as important to me as you are, and he treats

me as his own sister," Selina replied, taking a short trip down memoryne.

Selina cherished her childhood very much. As a child, she had been a naughty and outgoing girl. With

Jackson and Derek by her side, she was unafraid to bully any she wished for she knew that they would

defend her under any circumstance, especially Jackson. He had always been brave and strong, the

leader among all the kids in the military residentialpound. No one dared disobey his words or bully

those he protected. Under his and Derek''s protection, she was never bullied and enjoyed a merry

    childhood.

Look at the three of them now. They each had their own lives, and Jackson was even a father with an

adorable son. Things had definitely changed a lot, but she knew their friendship wouldn''t be weakened.

She still regarded Jackson as her big brother. As for his wife, Selina always respected Cherry and

enjoyed time with her. She even considered Jackson''s wife as her own sister and confidant whom she

    could confide in.
