Chapter 506 Sweet Love (Part Two)
"What was that, Selina?" Cherry pretended not to understand Selina.
Jacob and Elsa exchanged looks. Elsa raised her eyebrow at Jacob as if to say "What are these kids
trying to hide?"
"What''s going on?" Elsa asked.
"Nothing. Nothing''s going on, " Cherry immediately answered.
"Come on, Cherry, tell Elsa the good news!" Wilson beamed at her.
"Well, you two better stopughing at me!" Cherry pouted her lips at Wilson and Selena.
She escaped to Jackson''s arms. "Jackson, help me! Wilson and Selina are ganging up on me, "
"Babe, they''re just teasing. And they do have a point. Why don''t you tell your mom and Jacob the good
news?" Jackson smiled at Cherry.
Cherry panicked at Jackson''s answer. She wasn''t expecting him to say that.
"But, Jackson!" Cherry protested. Cherry bit her lip and realized she had no choice but to tell Elsa and
Jacob the news.
"What''s going on, dear?" Elsa asked while she stroked Cherry''s hair.
Cherry took a deep breath and reassured Elsa, "Don''t worry, Mom, it''s good news."
"Really?" Elsa snuck a look at Jacob before she gave her full attention to Cherry, "What''s the good
news?
"I''m pregnant, " Cherry announced to Elsa and Jacob. "Are you happy?"
"Oh my goodness, that''s not good news. That''s wonderful news!" Elsa hugged Cherry, followed by
Jacob, who wrapped them in his arms. Jacob motioned for Jackson to join them. Elsa released the hug
but kept Cherry in her arms. "How could you not tell us earlier?"
"We were going to but it slipped my mind when I saw your parlor, " Cherry started to exin. "And then
Selina tried to remind me and I just felt embarrassed for not telling you sooner."
"You shouldn''t be embarrassed!" Elsa chastised Cherry. "You should tell us good news like this any
time, even if it''s at 3 in the morning!"
"Okay, Mommy, next time, we''ll call you at 3 am!" Cherry nodded at Elsa.
"How many months along are you now?" Elsa asked. Before Cherry could answer, Elsa continued to
talk. "Remember, you''re taking care of two people now, so you have to take good care of yourself. No
cold water. No manualbor. No carrying things. You have to rest always and don''t stay upte, " Elsa
looked into Cherry''s eyes when she didn''t answer immediately. "Do you understand, Cherry?" Elsa
always believed all women developed fragile bodies when pregnant because of her experience. She
had a difficult pregnancy with Cherry and that was one of the reasons she didn''t have more children.
And she didn''t want Cherry to have a hard time with her pregnancy.
"I know, Mom, you already told me this when I was pregnant with Joe, " Cherry replied a little too curtly.
"I still remember everything you said." Cherry knew Elsa just wanted her to have a safe pregnancy but
Elsa can be a bit too much sometimes.
"Yes, but I know you, my darling daughter, " Elsa sighed. "You may have it heard now but you always
insist on your own way." Elsa turned to Jackson, "Jackson, don''t spoil Cherry too much. You gotta fight
through that stubborn head sometimes."
Jackson nodded, "Yes, ma''am, will do." Jackson could use Elsa''s reminder whenever Cherry refuses to
do what''s right for the baby.
"Cherry, Jackson, why don''t you two stay for dinner?" Jacob asked. "Well, we still need to pick up Joe."
Jacob turned to Wilson, "Son, do you mind getting Joe so he can join us for dinner?" Wilson nodded.
"Of course!"
"Oh that would be nice, if you can join us for dinner! We don''t get to do that a lot anymore, " Elsa kissed
Cherry on the cheek. "And we need to make sure you''re eating right. I''ll cook the food myself!"
Elsa echoed Jacob, "What do you say?"
Selina repeated their invitation, "Yes, join us for dinner!"
Jackson looked at Cherry for confirmation and nodded, "Yes, of course, we''ll join you for dinner."
"Well, that''s settled. Go and rest in the parlor, while I prepare the food, " Elsa announced. She half-ran
to the kitchen and left the rest of them in the parlor.
Cherry turned to Selina, "I heard your matrimonial room is finished. Can I see it?"
Selina''s heart jumped at Cherry''s request. "Of course! Let me take you there now."
"You seem very at home here now, Selina, " Cherry noticed.
"Oh, I guess, yes, " Selina wasn''t sure how to reply to Cherry''s statement so she changed the subject.
She inteced her arm with Cherry and pulled her upstairs. "Let''s go to the matrimonial room!"
Cherry and Selina left the men while they chatted in the parlor.
A luxurious room greeted Cherry as Selina opened the door to their matrimonial bedroom. The room
was a mix of modern and traditional decor, with a nice bnce of simplicity and grandeur. A wedding
photo of Wilson and Selina, with big smiles on their faces, hung on the bedroom wall.
Cherry''s jaw dropped at every detail she looked at in the room. "Wow, this is beautiful!"
"I asked my best friend, who''s based abroad, to design the room. Do you like it?" Selina asked. She
was ecstatic when Cherry nodded her head up and down repeatedly.
"It''s one of the best matrimonial rooms I''ve ever seen. It''s even more beautiful than mine. Such a work
of art." Cherry walked around the room to look at the furniture and decorations closely.
"Thank you, Cherry, that really means a lot, " Selina gushed to Cherry.
"You seem very happy and very much in love, Selina, " Cherry observed.
"Wilson and I both are. Because we married the right one for us. And as long as we marry the right
one, we will be happy, " Selina stated. Selina didn''t care about the other stuff, as long as she was
married to Wilson. Her only condition was to have the matrimonial room designed by her best friend,
who knew what Selina wanted. The rest of the house was up to Elsa and Jacob.
"You''re right, Selena. What''s important is to be with the one we love forever, " Cherry agreed with
Selina. She married Jackson because she knew he was the one. He cared for and loved her with all his
heart and she knew she could rely on him to take care of her, that''s why she gave him all her heart.
"Jackson is a good guy and you both deserve each other, " Selina told Cherry.
Cherry nodded, "I know he is. "I never forgot Jackson when we were away. How could I when Joe is a
spitting image of him, " Cherry sighed. "I missed him everyday we weren''t together."
Selina listened to Cherry pour her heart out. "Jackson really changed a lot after you left. He spent
every minute looking for you. And he even took it out on Stephen. But he could never find you. But it
didn''t matter. He still waited for you."
"Then I came back, " Cherry finished Selina''s sentence.
"I was so happy when you came back. I knew then that you would realize his love for you and your love
for him and you''ll be together forever, " Selina gushed.
Cherry looked Selina in the eyes and asked, "Selina, am I really this lucky?" When I married Jackson, I
no longer felt lonely. I mean, for sure, we had our share of fights and disagreements, but I realized my
love for him just became deeper and stronger."
Selina grinned, "I''m so happy to hear that."
Cherry continued. "We all have our ups and downs. It''s always a test to see if the love is true. And if
they can still hold hands after the down, then they are really for each other. Only the couples who can
ept each other''s ws willst long."
"I agree. You are both mature and well-educated. You both have your careers, each other, and a
beautiful child. With another oneing, who can say you are not sessful?" Selina stated.
"Selina, Jackson and I went through a lot to get to this point in our rtionship and in our lives. It taught
us to treasure each other. I hope you and Wilson will also learn to treasure each other, " Cherry shared
to Selina. Through all their trials and triumphs, Cherry learned that marriage and love didn''t always go
together. Couples needed to work on their rtionships to make itst. She wanted Selina to know
that. But Cherry was also confident Wilson and Selina will be able to handle any problem thate
