Chapter 490 The Talk (Part One)
Three dayster, Cherry went to the hospital to get the paternity test report.
Once she received the test report, she took them to sit on the bench in the corridor. Her guess was
right! Jackson and Mond were indeed blood-brothers. The papers in her hands confirmed as such. Why
was she not surprised?
It was obvious now why Jackson was so tolerant of Mond, why he wouldn''t retaliate or be hostile
towards him. He had known Mond was his younger brother! As for why Mond hated Jackson, Cherry
could only guess. Either Mond was jealous of Jackson, or he wanted revenge on the Chu Family, or
both.
She recalled the huge bill she had discovered in the army residentialpound. Had Mond been
abandoned by the Chu Family? If so, why? Strangely, Cherry had never even heard of Jackson''s
mother and father since she married into the Chu Family. It was but five yearster that she was taken

It had been a slow two hours as she sat and pondered on the hospital bench. Finally, she decided that
she must ask someone if she wanted to rify and know everything. That person wasn''t Jackson, nor
was it Mond. It was Derek.
Cherry was definitely sure that Derek must know everything. He was Jackson''s best friend and they
had grown up together. ''He''s the most suitable person who could answer my doubts, but will he tell
me?'' Cherry worried.
That question burning in her mind, she gently ced the test report in her bag before leaving the
hospital.
She parked at the gate of the JS Group Building and headed inside.
Once arriving at Selina''s office, Cherry could see she was busy working at her desk. Cherry took a
breath and walked in.
"Selina, " Cherry cried happily.
"Cherry! It''s so good to see you here!" Obviously surprised to see Cherry, Selina smiled. She briefly
wondered why Cherry was here now.
"I had some time and I thought I''de to see you. It''s been too long and I miss you. How''s work been
Selina walked over to Cherry and took her arm like a close friend. "Thank you foring to see me! I''m
so happy, " she gushed. "My work is doing well, and so is everything else. I''ve not been busy recently,
just handling some emergent affairs."
"Oh, that''s good!" Cherry replied. "Don''t work too hard. You need to take good care of yourself." The
two women sat on the sofa together to chat.
Selina''s face grew concerned as she looked over her friend properly. "I will. So should you. Look at
you, you''re so much thinner these days!" She was worried about Cherry, as the other woman looked
haggard and emaciated.
"Perhaps because I''ve not been sleeping well these days, " Cherry replied casually. She let a moment
go by before asking, "Well, where''s Derek? "I haven''t seen him since I got here."
"I don''t know. Maybe he''s out. He hasn''t told me anything. I''ll call him." Selina pulled out her cellphone
to do so, but Cherry put up a hand to stop her.
Cherry gave her a smile. "It''s okay. Selina, you don''t need to call him. I was just wondering, it''s not a
big deal. If I find I need to talk to him, I can just call him myself."
"Okay, " Selina conceded. "Then call him if you have anything for him. If he doesn''t follow your order,
let me know. I''ll show you how to teach him, " said Selina, appearing domineering.
Cherry couldn''t help butugh. "Selina, is that true? You teach your brother? "It seems that you dare
not to throw your weight around him."
"That''s not the case. I''m awesome!" Selina hastily argued. Her voice turned tender. "Cherry, I am tame
and timid when I face your Jackson because he''s slightly serious and cold. But around my brother, I am
his bully. He dares not act up with me."
"I wouldn''t doubt it, you really are awesome!" Cherryughed. "When you marry into the Yuwen family,
you need be the one to take control of my brother. But it seems my brother is very mature and sober.
He doesn''t seem to need to be trained, " the young woman noted.
"I also think so." It pleased Selina to hear her future-sister-inw''s praise for Wilson.
"Of course! My brother is the greatest man in the world. I''m sure you''ll be very happy to marry him, "
Cherry spoke from the heart.
"Oh, Cherry, do you mean Jackson isn''t so great?" Selina teased lightly, wanting to banter. Wilson''s
fiancee really did think Jackson was just as great as Wilson, and so was her brother Derek. All three of
these men were great.
"Jackson?" Cherry pretended to ponder before blurting out her answer: "He is kind of great!"
"Oh, Cherry, don''t be so modest. The love in your eyes betrays you. It tells me you only have Jackson
in your heart!" Selina replied exaggeratedly. She was only interested in hearing Cherry''s true feelings
about Jackson.
"You are so naughty, just like my Joe!" Cherry felt her spirits lift. Chatting with Selina definitely put her
in a good mood.
"Well, it''s the truth! I''ve always been who I really am, from the first day you met me, Cherry." Selina
yed at holding her head high to amuse Cherry. She had been waiting to see Cherry''s true happy
smile. As she had expected, Cherry smiled, and they giggled a little.
For Selina, Cherry was like a special sister, whose unique temperament had attracted her since they
met. She liked visiting with Cherry, because she was always understanding and thoughtful. Besides,
she was tender, fragile and protective over Cherry. It was easy to hope for nothing but happiness for
someone like Cherry. Especially having known her past, it was very precious for Selina to see beautiful
smiles on her face.
The two women talked andughed together for quite a while in Selina''s office. Selina cleared her
schedule and just stayed with Cherry. She was loving her time with her sister-inw-to-be.
They chatted andughed together until after they''d had lunch at noon. Cherry finally felt it was time to
go, and she left the JS Group.
Cherry took her car to Jackson''s bar, looking for her husband. It was fairly empty as it was afternoon.
Walking inside, all she saw was Susan.
