Chapter 436 The Piano Teacher


    Cherry was in bed already when Jackson entered the bedroom. He changed into his pajamas and got


    into bed.


    Cherry was faced away from Jackson, but he pulled her into his arms and held her closely from behind.


    "Babe, " whispered Jackson his breath hot against her ear.


    "Mmhm, I am tired, sleep, " mumbled Cherry with her eyes closed.


    "Sorry, I wasn''t there to protect the two of you, " said Jackson apologetically.

    Cherry opened her eyes as she rolled over to look closely at Jackson, "What are you talking about?


    Don''t think too much. Just sleep."


    "You won''t see her and her family in the future. She''s never to hurt you again, " said Jackson.


    Cherry widened her eyes surprised, "What have you done?"


    "I asked them to move to Hong Kong. They can no longer live here, " stated Jackson tly.


    "But John''s position...?" Cherry was somewhat worried. As a public figure, if John suddenly left, there


    would be rumors and spections from citizens.


    "Don''t worry. Derek will take care of the details, " Jackson replied.


    Cherry was a little relieved thinking about Derek. He was a sensible and cautious person.


    "Jackson, do you really need to do this? Our son and I are fine. If you drive them away, things will be


    too..." Cherry stated.


    "I only put up with her for Grandpa''s sake. Grandpapletely spoiled her. With the power of the Chu


    family''s name, she''s let it go to her head in public. I have tolerated her behavior for a long time. Since

    and breathing him in. She wouldn''t fear anything the world threw at her with this man at her side. She


    could face the future bravely.


    In the morning, no rms red to Cherry and Jackson, they slept till the light filtering into their room


    and their internal clock woke them. When they finally got up and headed downstairs, Joe was ying


    with his toys in the living room, and it looked like he had dragged all them from his room. Cherry was


    surprised and asked, "Joe, how long ago did you get up?"


    "Oh, I got up a long time ago. I was up early. You and Daddy were still asleep, and I didn''t wanna wake


    you, so, I just came down here to y, " Joe didn''t look up as he spoke, he kept ying his game.


    "It''s the weekend; why didn''t you sleep in?" Cherry asked as she walked up to her son.


    "I got to sleep so earlyst night. So, this morning I couldn''t stay asleep, " Joe finally looked up at his


    Mother, "Mommy, don''t worry about me."


    "Okay, " Cherry agreed while nodding, feeling relieved.


    Just then Lily walked into the room, looking at Jackson, and asked, "Sir, would you like breakfast now?


    It is ready."


    "Okay thank you, " Jackson gave Lily a brisk nod, and looked from Cherry to Joe saying, "Let''s go have


    breakfast."


    "Okay, " Joe said happily as he stood up, taking his Mother by the hand, he walked to the dining room


    with her.


    After breakfast, Joe went off to y by himself. While Cherry helped Jackson with his tie, she asked,


    "Are you going to the bar today?"


    "Yes, and I will talk to Derek while I am there. Stay home and rx today, " said Jackson.


    "Okay, " Cherry said.


    Jackson lightly kissed Cherry''s forehead before he left the house.


    Lily found Cherry watching TV in the living room and told her, "Madam, I am going back to the military


    back for a while."


    Cherry hadn''t been back for a long time either.


    "Lily, maybe I should go with you today. I would like to visit as well, " Cherry informed her.


    "Well, " Lily was taken aback, and after thinking a moment said, "How about you go with Jackson in a


    few days and honor your Grandpa? I will go clean today."


    "Alright, " nodded Cherry. "Ask Bill to to drive you there. I will make lunch for Joe and myself today, so


    you can returnter this afternoon."


    "Yes, Ma''am, " Lily replied respectfully.


    Cherry had a bad feeling as she watched Lily leave. But she didn''t know why. All she knew was that the


    feeling wasn''t typical.


    Cherry sat in the study surfing websites, looking up information about piano teachers in the city.


    Suddenly, Cherry came across a name she thought might be familiar. ''This could be Amy, a former


    ssmate from high school, '' she thought.


    Cherry looked over the information carefully, and when she saw Amy''s picture, she knew it was her old


    ssmate. Even though she had changed, Cherry recognized her immediately.


    Cherry wrote Amy''s contact information down with the intentions of contacting her and asking her to


    give Joe piano lessons.


    Cherry left the study, went to her room and changed, and then headed down the stairs.


    Cherry found Joe ying in the living room, "Joe, are you okay staying home alone for a little while? I


    have to go out."


    "Where are you going Mommy?" Asked Joe.


    "Mommy found you a piano teacher. She was a ssmate. And I am going to meet her and invite her


    to be your instructor, " said Cherry.


    "Okay, Mommy, go ahead. I''ll be fine home alone, " said Joe smiling.


    "Okay, I''ll be back before lunch, but, if you are hungry, you can get a snack from the fridge,


    understand?" instructed Cherry as she changed her shoes. She worried about her son.


    "Okay, I will, " said Joe, thinking, that if he couldn''t handle an easy matter like this, he shouldn''t very


    well be called a genius. He was Cherry''s son and had many advantages. Such a small thing was no


    problem for him.


    "Okay, then Mommy will go, but I will be back soon, " Cherry reassured Joe.


    "Okay, bye Mommy."


    Cherry drove to a trainingpany. Inside, she told the front desk staff that she would like to meet with


    Amy. She went to Amy''s office after getting the approval.


    Cherry knocked on the office door. When she heard a muffled voice telling her toe in, she pushed


    the door open.


    "Amy!" called Cherry happily.


    "I''m sorry, do I know you?" A confused Amy asked, putting her pen down, raising to her feet. She


    studied Cherry''s face in bafflement.


    After a long while she asked, "Cherry? Is that you?"


    "Yes, of course! Who do you think I would be?" Cherry confirmed grinning.


    Amy rushed to Cherry and hugged her tightly.


    "Oh my! Cherry, you''ve changed so much! It''s been what, seven, eight years now? Let me look at you!


    You''ve turned into such a beauty!" Amy gushed.


    "So are you, and a teacher! Oh Amy, you''ve grown into a noble, beautiful flower, " Cherry


    "You tter me. Here, have a seat. There''s so much to catch up on. Let''s talk; I have so many things to


    tell you, " said Amy, taking Cherry''s hand and dragging her to the sofa.


    Cherry and Amy sat together and talked for a while. They talked about everything from former


    ssmates to what was happening in their lives now.


    "Cherry, is your husband Jackson?" Amy sounded surprised. She never paid attention to the news, so,


    she hadn''t realized the wife of the city''s wealthiest man was actually her good friend.


    "Yes, our son is five now and will be six soon, " said Cherry smiling softly.


    "Really? Your son must be very cute." Amy said happily.


    "Well, he is very cute, " said Cherry and then added, "Actually, he is the reason I came to see you


    today, Amy."


    "Oh? What''s up?" asked Amy.


    "My son wants to study the piano. I was looking online for a piano teacher when I came across your


    information, so I came to ask if you would tutor him, " said Cherry.


    "Well, all of our tutors are posted online, and some parents can hire private tutors, " said Amy.


    "Amy, please? Come to teach my son piano. Whatever your sry is, don''t worry, I will pay the school


    rates, " said Cherry quickly.


    "Oh, Cherry, don''t say what. We are good friends. You helped me so much in high school. I never had a


    chance to thank you for that. Why are you treating me like a stranger now?" said Amy embarrassed,


    "This is what I can do. I will take you to the head of the new enrollment billing department, and they will


    charge you. It''s so rare to see a child who loves to learn to y the piano, so, I will give your son an


    extra half hour session every time."


    "Okay, that sounds great Amy! I am so d I came to see you, " said Cherry happily.


    "Me, too, " said Amy, "Oh, where are you working now?"


    "I work in my brother Wilson''spany, the H King Group, " said Cherry.


    "Wilson''spany? I remember back in high school you telling me your brother, Wilson, treated you


    very well, " Amy shared with Cherry. She also recalled Cherry''s life in the Shen family was not good


    and aside from her brother, the only person who treated her well was her best friend, Emily. But she


    heard a few years ago, while attending the ss reunion, that something had happened to Emily.


    "Yes, my brother has always been good to me. He''s going to be married soon, " Cherry gushed, taking


    Amy''s hands excitedly.

    "Thank you, Amy, " said Cherry, "How about you? How''re things for you?"


    "My life is what you see, " said Amy, "I teach children, take sses at college and live alone."


    "You don''t have a boyfriend?" Cherry asked.


    There was a sad smile on Amy''s face as she shook her head, "No, no, I haven''t met my prince


    charming, yet."
