Chapter 431 Looking Forward To A Daughter (Part One)


    After a long drive made worse by the intense traffic jams, they reached the huge, daunting gates of


    Wilson''s house. They saw Joe dashing towards them with an ecstatic smile on his face. Cherry got


    overjoyed on seeing her son and rushed out of the car.


    Joe happily called, "Mommy, there you are! I''m so d you finally reached."


    "Yes, here I am, " replied Cherry with a smile on her face, clutching her son''s hand. Until that moment


    of reunion, Cherry had not known that she would ever experience such immense joy on meeting


    another human.


    As they walked towards the ptial house, they saw Wilson approaching them.


    He greeted them, "Hello, Cherry and Jackson, here you are."


    Cherry replied, "Hi, Wilson. I bought a lot of things for Mother and Uncle. Let''s take them inside." As


    she finished, Jackson began to take out things from the car.


    Wilson said, "You don''t need to buy so many things next time. We don''t need anything else here."


    Cherry replied, "It''s not a big deal, don''t worry about it. I bought these things while I went shopping with


    Jackson."


    Watching his Daddy doing all the heavy lifting, Joe suddenly wanted to help him with something. He


    asked, "Daddy, can you give me this small bag? I can carry it into the house."


    Feeling proud that his son wanted to burden some responsibility, Jackson said "Okay, here you go."


    and gave the bag to his son.


    Joe bounded and skipped into the house with the bag.


    When Cherry and Jackson walked into the living room, they saw Elsa happily hold Selina''s hand.


    Cherry smiled and said, "Uncle, Mommy, we''re back!" She was overjoyed to see them look so cozy


    together.


    Jackson also politely greeted them, "Hello, Uncle, Aunt."


    Selina extended her arms and said with a warm smile, "Jackson, Cherry, it''s wonderful to see you. It''s


    been a while since we had the whole family together."


    Cherry smiled in return and then put all the things on the table. She walked to Selina, smiled and said,


    "It seems that my mother also likes you."


    Elsa kindly said, "Of course I like her. Cherry, Selina is really great."


    Cherry pretended to be angry and said, "Mom, this is the first time you''ve met her and you''re already


    singing her praises. I''m so jealous. Joe also feels hurt and he has said you don''t love him anymore."


    Hearing his Mommy''s words, Joe ran to his Grandma and continued the charade. He pulled at her


    clothes and said, "Yes, Grandma, you used to love me very much, but now you have Aunt Selina and


    you have totally ignored me."


    Elsa happily held him in her arms and said, "That''s not true. You''re still my sweetheart and always will


    be! I l love you, I love your Mommy and I also love your Aunt Selina. I love all of you. Our family is just


    getting bigger, you need not worry."


    Cherry and Selina looked at Elsa and there were smiles on their faces.


    Then everybody sat in the dining room and had dinner together. It was a particrly joyous one,


    especially for Jacob and Elsa. They were d because their son had found someone he loved and


    they didn''t need to worry about him anymore.


    Once the chatting had subsided, Elsa eagerly asked, "So Wilson, when are you and Selina getting


    married?" Then she added, "Tell me and we can make preparations for you two. You won''t have to lift a


    single finger."


    Wilson was shy and attempted to gesture to Aunt Elsa to stop her from talking about the wedding. He


    then looked at Selina and thought to himself, ''I haven''t even discussed a wedding with Selina. Aunt


    Elsa is being so hasty. I only wanted to take Selina home and if they loved her, I would have discussed


    wedding with Selina. I didn''t expect them to bring this up now.''


    Selina also felt embarrassed, lowered her head and became speechless.


    Sensing the awkward silence, Cherry hastily said, "Mom, you should, at least give them some time for


    Wilson to talk about this with Selina. Let them make the decision for themselves."


    Jacob smiled and said, "Cherry, your Mom is just eager to have a grandson."


    That made Wilson and Selina feel even more awkward and at this point, they had no idea what to say.


    Marriage was not even on the cards, and the topic of children had already been brought up!


    Jackson lowered his head and said nothing, but a slight smile broke out on his lips. He had been


    through the same situation before his marriage to Cherry. And now it was Selina''s turn to suffer the


    awkwardness.


    Cherry didn''t know what to say either. She didn''t know what Wilson and Selina were thinking, so she


    was afraid that if she said something wrong, they would be unhappy.


    Wilson suddenly spoke up, "Dad, Aunt, take it easy. We will get married sometime, please don''t rush us


    or bring this up again."


    Selina took no offence to his words. She held Wilson''s hand under the table and gave it a slight


    squeeze. She knew that this was the man she wanted to marry and nothing anyone else could say


    would deter her from this decision. She did not want Wilson to feel cornered about this either.


    Noticing that Selina didn''t deny Wilson''s words, Jacob hastily said, "Okay, okay, you kids take your


    time. We''ll make preparations only once you''refortable talking about it and let us know about it.


    Then, we will be able to quickly hold the wedding. We just got excited and carried away in the


    moment."


    Elsa also nodded her head and said, "I really hope that Selina will marry you soon."


    At this moment, Joe suddenly showed up and said, "Grandma, Grandpa, let my uncle and Selina get


    married quickly. I want to eat their wedding cake and receive red envelopes full of money." Then he


    looked at everyone sitting at the table and said, "All of you should give me a red envelope at their

    They finished their meal in betweenughter and happiness. After the dinner, Wilson sent Selina home


    while Cherry and Jackson were sitting in the living room and talking to Jacob and Elsa.
