Chapter 429 Gathering In The Yuwen Family (Part One)
In the afternoon, as Cherry walked out of the H King Building, she spotted Jackson''s car parked in the
lot so she walked to him and sat into the car.
"Why do youe downstairs sote?" asked Jackson impatiently, while starting the powerful engine
of his automobile.
"Are you serious? I came downstairs as soon as you called to say that you had reached thepany, "
replied Cherry somewhat angrily, as well. She hadn''t made him wait for very long. Why did he get
unpleasant at every small incident that urred?
"Did Wilson stop you on your way out?" asked Jackson.
"Why on earth would he stop me? He cannot stop me from meeting my own husband, " responded
Cherry.
A smile touched the corners of Jackson''s lips as he began to cool down. He took one look at Cherry
and then kept on driving, "That''s more like it, my woman''s the boss."
"Darling, when do you think I''m not like the boss?" Cherry suddenly asked in a pretty tender voice, but
she was prepared to change her countenance and get angry in the next minute.
"When we go to bed and you don''t listen to my words, " answered Jackson without thought, grinning on
the inside, knowing he was going to touch a nerve.
"Jackson, I dare you to say one more sentence, " Cherry raged, ring at Jackson''s profile. This man
was always restless?at night, leaving her no chance to resist him. Instead of admitting his mistakes, he
was using her of not listening to him at all.
Jackson''s lips turned upwardszily in a barely perceptible smile, while he remained silent and not
responding to Cherry.
"Jackson, honey, you are going to sleep on the couch tonight, " said Cherry in a dangerously sweet
voice, pretending she was angry, "Why would I do that? Don''t get angry. You know you''ll miss me in
that huge bed of ours, " grovelled Jackson, immediately.
"If you won''t leave our room, I will!" Finishing her speech off with a triumphant flourish, Cherry averted
her sight from Jackson to the scenery outside her window.
"Do you really think I will let you slip through my grasp?" asked Jackson, grinning. How could he allow
his woman to leave him? Cherry was the only thing in his life that mattered, apart from their child. He
wished she could be by his side at all times.
Cherry opted to give Jackson the silent treatment and pretended to be very absorbed in thendscape
drifting past them.
Having noticed that his lovely wife had gone off on one of her self-ignited anger tantrums and not
wanting to worsen the situation, Jackson immediately said, "I''m sorry, baby, I was just teasing. Look at
me, please." He tried to get her to stare into his eyes so that he could relieve her anger.
Cherry then turned her head to re at him and angrily said, "Jackson, that''s not all. I know that when
you work at the bar, those girls keep flirting with you but you must not engage! You should not even
nce or smile at them!"
Hearing Cherry''s baseless concerns, Jackson wanted tough. Those girls at the bar could not give
him anything he wanted. Everything he ever wanted in the world, he had gotten from Cherry. If they
flirted with him, it was only because he was so oblivious to them. His entire demeanor had changed
after meeting his beloved.
"Baby, are you jealous now? Or is something else going on? You know they have nothing on you, "
asked Jackson, delicately.
"I don''t care. You''d better be careful, anyway. Don''t try to find any excuse to exin it away when I see
it, " said Cherry.
"Set your mind at ease. The only ones in my heart are you and Joe. Nobody else can even attract my
attention, let alone enter my heart. You should know that our family matters the most to me in this
world, " assured Jackson.
Cherry felt a bitforted after hearing Jackson''s reassurances. "That''s good, I will keep in mind what
you said and so should you!"
Though they had been arguing all this while, their argument had just reinforced their love for each
other. Even fighting was part of the deal sometimes and this made Jackson and Cherry feel truly
treasured.
Arriving at the door of the bar, they got out of the car and walked towards it. It had blue light pulsating
from it and looked like one of the hottest, newest ce around.
But before they came in, Cherry stopped still and looked to the bar counter.
There were several young boys and girls standing there. They were chatting amongst themselves with
no care in the world. They were so carefree and lovely, just liked Emily had been that year, while
providing alcohol to their guests.
Standing beside Cherry, Jackson didn''t utter a word. He knew that Cherry must have recalled Emily in
her mind again.
As the staff of the bar saw a woman standing at Jackson''s side with their hands wrapped together
intimately, they deduced that this must be their boss''s wife.
At that moment, Susan happened to return after she sending wine to her guests. Seeing that Jackson
was standing at the door with a woman, she happily walked up to them.
"Mr. Jackson, you are back, " said Susan, then she turned her sight to Cherry and asked, "Who is this
youngdy?"

"She is my wife, Cherry, " answered Jackson, coldly.
Susan had already guessed it. She happily called, "Ms. Cherry, I''m Susan, I have worked here for three
years and heard so much about you despite never meeting you."
"Well, nice to meet you, " Cherry nodded disinterestedly, and said to Jackson, "Let''s go to your office."
"Okay, " Jackson''s voice sounded gentle on noticing Cherry looked downcast. Putting a hand on
Cherry''s shoulder, Jackson took her to his office.
Susan watched as the couple walked away. Her eyes looked disturbed, with an indiscernible emotion.
In the office, Cherry sat on the sofa without saying a word, her eyes focusing instead on the view out
the window.
Jackson walked and sat down next to her. Holding Cherry in his arms, he tenderly asked, "Honey,
please tell me what''s wrong. Are you in a bad mood now?"
"No, " said Cherry shortly.
Jackson sensed there was something bitter or sad in Cherry''s heart. He could feel it even though she
wasn''tmunicating it to him.
"Do you miss Emily? Or is it something else?" asked Jackson cautiously, afraid of treading on the
wound in Cherry''s heart.
But Cherry remained silent with her mouth closed shut.
"Baby, I haven''t made any big changes to the bar because I want to do as you wish. This ce holds
too many memories of Emily and I know she is so important in your heart. Don''t miss her too much. So
many years have passed, just keep Emily in your memory and live happily now, okay?" whispered
Jackson to Cherry gently.
Cherry suddenly turned her sight to Jackson and said in a soft voice, "Jackson, I not only miss Emily
but also feel worried about you. In such an environment, you have so many beautiful girls around. I''m
afraid that..."
Before Cherry finished her words, the girl called Susan appeared in her mind again, which made her
heart beat faster with anxiety. If every girl that worked in the bar was as pretty and nice as her, who
knows what Jackson would fall for? She was not just worried about whether her husband could control
himself but also if she was enough for him. Jackson was widely regarded as a handsome man. His
temperament and his looks made him a very attractive man. Innumerable girls threw themselves at him
constantly. What if he decided that one of them was better than her? She was his wife, so how could
Cherry not feel vulnerable and insecure about it? She loved him. Jackson was the one thing she
cherishedpletely in her heart. Cherry always believed that Jackson was her entire world.
