    Mond stood still. Cherry had left him behind, and he couldn''t think of a thing to stop her. He had neither


    soothed her, nor forced her to stay, for he had realized that there was nothing for him; there were no

    Then he released his mother''s hand and rushed upstairs to his room crying.


    Cherry tried to stop Joe by calling out his name and saying, "Joe, how could you be so impolite to your


    Great-Grandpa?"


    Joe had already taken several steps up the stairs, but he suddenly stopped when he heard what her


    mother said.


    He turned around, standing at the steps of the stairs and looked at his Great-Grandpa. His eyes were


    full of tears as he said, "I hate Daddy. I hate Daddy. Why does he have to find other women? He has


    my mommy. But why does he have to see other women? Are all people in Chu Family like this?"


    Joe''sst question was so clear and loud that it reached Andrew''s ears.


    Then Joe turned around and continued to run upstairs, ignoring his mother''s call.


    Down on the ground floor, Cherry got angry and said, "Joe, what are you talking about?" She thought to


    herself, ''How could Joe say that? Jackson was the one at fault but Andrew was right there sitting in the


    living room. How could he say such a thing in front of Andrew? His words were an insult to him as well.''


    Exhausted by the day''s event, Cherry let out a heavy breath.


    Andrew''s happy expression immediately changed. He slowly stood up, and his cane in his hand was


    shaking. He looked at the ce where Joe had stood. He repeated his great-grandson''s words, ''What


    did Joe mean by that? Are all people in Chu Family like this? What does that mean? Why is Joe asking


    me about this? What did he mean? What happened while he and Cherry were out? Once upon a time,


    my son made severe mistakes and I''ve tried my best to make up for it. I tried to correct all his


    wrongdoings. I paid the price for him. But now what did my grandson do? Why is my great-grandson


    asking me this question?''


    Tears threatened to spill from the old man''s eyes as he asked himself, ''What wrong have I not done

    Cherry was helpless for what her son had said. She turned her head to look at Andrew. When she saw


    Andrew''s pained face, Cherry''s eyes grew wide with worry. She approached Andrew andid a hand


    on his shoulder. Cherry softly asked, "Grandpa, are you all right?"


    As soon as she finished her question, Andrew slowly closed his eyes and fell back. Andrew lost


    consciousness.


    Cherry quickly supported Andrews body to avoid him from hitting the floor. Cherry was in a panic and


    shouted, "Grandpa, Grandpa!"


    Seeing that Andrew was no longer responsive, Cherry immediately shouted for help. She was so


    worried and she shouted for help, "Someone help! Bill! Lily! Help! Help! Anyone, please!"


    When Lily and Bill went to the living room, they saw Andrew''s pale and unconscious body and they


    were freaking out. Lily and Bill immediately ran towards Cherry to help her carry Andrew on the sofa.


    Lily was so worried and scared for Andrew. She had difficulty forming her question to Cherry. She


    asked, "Mrs. Cherry...What...What happened?"


    Cherry looked at Bill and ordered in a stern voice., "Bill, help me to get Grandpa to the hospital! Now!"

    Bill carried Andrew to the car. Cherry tried to stay calm and gave instructions to Lily. She firmly held


    Lily''s arm and said, "Lily, you stay here at home to take care of Joe. Don''t let him go out of the house.


    Do you understand?" Cherry wanted to confirm if Lily was emotionally and mentally stable to take


    temporary responsibility for the house and her son.


    "Oh, okay, okay, " said Lily as she tried to control her shaking voice and steady herself. It was obvious


    that she was terrified by what has just happened.


    Cherry immediately followed Bill to the car.


    Cherry dialled Jackson''s number while she was driving. Unfortunately, Jackson''s phone could not be


    reached. Cherry tried several times and hoped that she might get lucky. However, this time luck was


    not on her side. Cherry was so scared and worried for Andrew. and she even wanted to cry because


    there was no way for her to help him.


    Bill looked at Andrew who was lying unconscious on the back seat and asked, "Mrs. Cherry, still can''t


    get through to Mr. Jackson?"


    Cherry ignored his question and said, "I''ve called the hospital and they are ready for us. They will meet


    us at the gate."


    Bill knew that Cherry was avoiding his question on purpose, so he didn''t persist with his question.


    When Jackson returned home, it was already six o''clock in the evening. He saw that there was nobody


    in the living room. And he then checked the kitchen and dining room and found they were also empty.


    Lily who was usually busy in the kitchen was nowhere to be found. Bill who usually greeted him at the


    front door was also missing. Jackson was confused and wondered where everybody was. Did Cherry


    and Joe still not return home?


    Jackson thought for a while and started to go upstairs to check on his wife and son.

    Angrily, he ran to the second floor. Then he saw that his son''s door had been left open and he heard


    Lily''s voice. She wasforting Joe.


    Jackson slowly walked to his son''s room.


    Lily stood next to Joe and politely said, "Mr. Joe, you should stay and wait. Mrs. Cherry has said that


    you shouldn''t go out."


    Joe firmly said, "No. I want to find my Mommy and leave with her. Since my Daddy doesn''t want my


    Mommy anymore, why should we still stay here?"
