Chapter 213 I Would Not Leave Mommy (Part One)

"Not even Daddy?" asked Joe. But he had already had an answer in his heart. How could he believe

his father when his mother had been beaten by him?

Cherry then looked at her son, and seriously said, "Joe, I don''t know your father anymore, and I can''t

promise that he won''t try to hurt you."

Joe nodded sensibly to Cherry, and said, "Mommy, I understand."

In the morning, Cherry got up as usual and also waked her son. She helped him to wash and then took

    him downstairs holding his hand.

While they were on the first floor, Cherry looked around but didn''t see Jackson, and she was a little

curious about where he was. Didn''t he get up yet? Sleeping in wasn''t something that was in Jackson''s

    habits.

When Lily saw Cherry downstairs, she hastily greeted her, "Good morning, Mrs. Cherry."

Cherry nodded, and said, "Good morning. Is breakfast ready?"

    "Yes, madam, " replied Lily.

Cherry then said to her son, "Joe, go to the dining room and eat your breakfast, and then Bill will drive

    you to school."

"Okay, Mommy, " said Joe calmly.

He then went to the dining room as Cherry told him to do.

After she saw her son leave, Cherry asked Lily, "Where is Jackson?"

"Mr. Jackson went out early in the morning, but I don''t know where, " answered Lily.

"Well, you can get back to your own business, " said Cherry, feeling upset.

Lily nodded to her and then left.

Cherry then went to the dining room, and after she watched Joe finish his breakfast, she helped him

dress neatly and watched him put his schoolbag on his back. She then walked with her son out of the

    vi.

Just after she opened the vi''s door, Cherry was shocked by all the people in the courtyard. She

looked around and saw that there were several people dressed in ck quietly standing in more or less

hidden ce. Were they the security guards that Jackson had called for them?

Looking at the strong and tall men dressed in ck suits around the courtyard, Joe couldn''t help but

hold his Mommy''s hand tightly with a feeling of fright.

Cherry saw her son''s reaction, and whispered to him, "Joe, don''t be afraid, it''s okay, Mommy is here

    with you."

    "Okay, " replied Joe.

At that moment, Bill was standing beside the car and looked at Cherry and Joe, who were standing at

the door. He happily said to Joe, "Mr. Joe, please get in the car. I will drive you to school."

Cherry was going to walk her son to the car after she heard Bill''s words.

But, unexpectedly, as soon as she took one step out of the house, two guards rushed out and blocked

    her way.

Cherry was stunned and took a few steps backwards. Joe was also frightened, and again grabbed his

    Mommy''s hand tightly.

"What are you doing?" furiously asked Cherry. Such sudden movementsing from the guards had

been beyond her expectations of them.

"Mr. Jackson has given us strict orders to keep you inside the house, " said a guard.

"Can''t I go to the yard to send my son to school?" said Cherry sternly.

Unexpectedly, one of the guards mercilessly said to Cherry, "No, you cannot."

In a sudden burst of anger, Joe ran to the guard and started to pound on his leg with his little fists. He

said, "Why won''t you let my Mommy go out? Why won''t you let my Mommy go out?"

The guard knew that Joe was the young master. He had received orders from Jackson to only keep

Mrs. Cherry in the vi, but nobody else had been mentioned. He had no choice but to ept the

    child''s wild pounding.

Cherry saw that the guard remained motionless, and that her son kept beating him.

"Joe!" Cherry then suddenly pulled her son back to her, indicating that he should stay away from him.

"Mommy, they''ve gone too far! How could they do that to you?" furiously said Joe.

Cherry squatted down to him, and as she looked at her son, she tenderly said to him, "Joe, Mommy will

now bid you farewell and you will go to school with Bill. You need to study hard at school, and Mommy

will be waiting for you right here at home when youe back."

"Mommy!" Joe then burst into tears and held his mother tightly in his arms. He didn''t want to go to

school. Why did he have to go to school? His Mommy had been forbidden to leave the vi. How could

he leave her alone in that damn house?

Cherry hugged her son for some time. Withholding the sadness in her heart, she said to her son, "Joe,

you need to go now, or else you''ll bete for school."

"Okay, " answered Joe as he looked at his Mommy, and then reluctantly walked towards Bill.

After she watched her son get inside the car and Bill driving it away, Cherry felt extremely sad.

She looked at the car until it disappeared in the distance. She then looked around, and when she saw

that the guards dressed in ck suits were all around her, an angry feeling stirred up in her heart. She

had been imprisoned by Jackson just as a criminal on house arrest.

Cherry then returned to the living room. When she saw her back, Lily respectfully said to her, "Mrs.

    Cherry, your breakfast is ready."

"I''m not hungry, " replied Cherry decisively, and then went back upstairs in her room.

Lily stood in the living room and briefly looked upstairs. She then heard the sound of a door mming

    shuting from the second floor.

Cherry stayed in her room for the whole morning. At noon, Lily knocked at the door to invite her to have

lunch, but Cherry didn''t open it. She instead stayed silent in the room, pletely ignoring Lily outside

    the door.

Joe was bending over his desk at school. They had an extracurricr activity in the afternoon, and the

students went to the yground, all except Joe, who was sitting alone in the ssroom. He was very

worried about his Mommy, and he was afraid that she would get hurt at home.

"Joe, why are you alone in the ssroom?"

When he heard someone calling out his name, Joe turned around and saw that it was his teacher.Content bel0ngs to N?vel(D)r/a/ma.Org.
