Seraphina stood in a part of the forest, experimenting with her powers, discovering new things, new ways to kill. She looked at a small bird perched on a thin twig. She stepped over to it and exhaled lightly in its face. Dark shadows came out and wafted right into the bird’s face, disappearing a second later. The bird shook its head a couple of times and then stared at her. Suddenly, it flew off, colliding head first into a tree trunk.
