feelings at that moment.
Matthew chuckled and asked, “What are you thinking, re?”

“You were the one who courted me and refused to give up, even after I rejected you. You can’t turn it all
around like that. What would others think if they heard what you said? They would assume that I am a
vile woman who did something underhanded just to marry a rich guy. I…”
“You’re right. My re is not a gold-digger at all. I know that better than anyone else,” interrupted
Matthew, as he held her tightly in his arms. He was smiling when he further cooed, “I’ve learned my
lesson, and I will never tell anyone that joke. This is just an inside joke between us, and I will not let

Matthew kissed rissa’s lips before he added, “You know that I am not the kind of man who would
spread rumors like that.”
