Chapter 604 An Unexpected Delivery
The servant nodded.
“Did he return with someone else?”
“Yes.” Answered the servant. But she was still confused, “So may I have…”
Before she could finish, Evelyn appeared to be sullen. She walked pass the servant and hurried to go
upstairs.
Evelyn started to search every single room regardless of manners. When she opened the door of the
“Leigh, you really piss me off!” Evelyn lifted the quilt and kept shouting, “Even if you don’t want a
girlfriend, you can’t just cling to Chace all day long! And how dare you announce that you love guys!”
Leigh didn’t even notice what was going on when the quilt was drawn away.
He raised up his head and saw it was Evelyn. He was rendered annoyed, “Mom, what’s wrong with
you?”
“What’s wrong with me? I am here to get an answer from you!” Evelyn was burning with rage because
of what she heard ofst night. When she noticed that there appeared to be someone else inside the
quilt, she went madder, “I have never stopped you from falling in love with guys! But how dare you
announce it in public! Are you going to dump your business? Don’t you think I need some time to brace
for this impact?”
Leigh was rendered so confused, “What? I love guys? What the hell did I announce?”
“Stop pretending!”
Evelyn was about to lift the quilt beside. Leigh hurried to stop, “Mom, she is still sleeping! We can have
a talk outside the room.”
“How dare you!” Evelyn had gone so mad that she pped him on his face for the first time.
Leigh was stunned. Meanwhile, Evelyn took the chance to lift the quilt.
However, she didn’t see a guy lying underneath the quilt. Instead, it was a pregnantdy, whose face
was so familiar to her.
“God!” Evelyn screamed and even dropped her handbag on the ground. She stammered while pointing
at Jessie, “That’s not a guy? It’s…”
Though Jessie was in sound sleep, she was woken up by now.
“What happened?” Jessie turned around to ask Leigh, still dozing. Then she saw a red swollen p
print carved on his face and also noticed a familiar face—Evelyn.
“Evelyn, what brought you here?”
“Ah…well…” Evelyn was almost rendered speechless. Then she exined, “Last night, I heard from
others that Leigh told whoever he met that he loved guys. And someone imed that he saw Leigh
doing nasty things with another guy in the parking lot…Then one of his security guards said that he
brought someone back homest night…so that’s why I came…”
Jessie turned to stare at Leigh with her eyes wide open, “You love guys?”
“No!” now Leigh finally understood why his mom came to him in madness.
“I was just joking. I didn’t even expect them to spread out the rumor! And the guy in the parking lot was
just a guest in the club. He got his pants stuck in the door. I was just helping him. They even filmed the
whole thing? What a group of freaks!”
Not until then did Evelyn breathed a sigh of relief. But then she huffed angrily again, “Stop making
jokes like that! When I was having dinner with my friendsst night, they even teased me that I was
going to have one more son! That really piss me off!”
“That’s the reason you broke into my room and lifted my quilt? I am a grown man!” Leigh touched his
own face, gritting out of pain.
“And you even pped me!”
Evelyn cleared her voice and said, “Ahem, sorry, I was being too mad to control myself. It won’t happen
again.”
Evelyn then looked at Jessie and soon noticed her bulging belly underneath the pajamas. She turned
to look at Leigh with her mouth open, almost failing to utter, “So…how…how did she show up again?”
Of course, Evelyn knew everything in the past—Leigh was sent to hospital after Jessie fell into the sea.
It almost killed him. So Evelyn had been holding a great feud against Jessie.
But now Jessie appeared again from nowhere. She seemed to be choked.
“I have just returned to Yorkshire yesterday.” Jessie looked much moreposed whenpared to
Evelyn. She suggested, “Evelyn, why not go downstairs for breakfast. Leigh and I will join you after
washing ourselves up.”
“Okay.” Evelyn also deemed it an awkward moment to stand still in the room.
As Jessie was about to get off the bed, her hands seemed to suddenly run out of power and thus she
fell onto the bed again. She could feel something warm streaming down from her crotch, which
drenched more than half of her pants.
Leigh hurried to steady her body, looking nervous, “What’s wrong?”
“My water seems to leak…” Jessie didn’t feel sick. She looked down and then said to him, “my water is
leaking!”
Leigh was confused, “What does that mean?”
“What happened?” Evelyn hadn’t stepped out of the bedroom. When hearing the conversation, she
only deemed Jessie a bit unwell. So she turned around. But soon she noticed her drenched pants,
“Your water has gone leaking?”
Jessie nodded.
“What the hell are you waiting? Hurry up!” Evelyn was rendered anxious and scolded Leigh, “Take her
to the hospital! Are you retarded? The baby will get suffocated if the water runs out!”
Leigh hurried to hold Jessie up in his arms and rushed out.
On their way to the hospital, Jessie was suffering from continuousbor pain because of the
contractions of her uterus. She grabbed Evelyn’s hand hard out of pain. But Evelyn didn’t seem to feel
hurt. She just kept urging, “Are we arriving?”
Evelyn hurried to add, “Be quick! Or the baby wille out in the car!”
“Mom, stop pressing me!” Leigh was also anxious. But it was impossible for him to speed up too fast.
He rushed across all the traffic lights on the way, being urgent to reach the hospital as soon as
possible.
As soon as they arrived, Jessie was at the edge of delivery. She looked pale with sweat appearing on
her forehead.
The nurse hurried to send her to thebor room and kept both Evelyn and Leigh out.
Evelyn kept walking back and forth outside the room. She asked, “Did you have sex with herst
night?”
“Mom!” Leigh refuted awkwardly, “Could you stop thinking about nonsense?”
“Oh, thanks god you didn’t. I was worried if you failed to curb your burning desire at this young age.”
Then she continued, “Shall we call Lily here to stay by her side?”
“But Louis has cklisted my number. How can I contact her?”
Evelyn cast him a glimpse of me, “What’s wrong with you? Louis even cklisted you?”
But luckily, Evelyn had kept Lily’s number. So she dialed it and asked if she was free toe to the
hospital. After that, Evelyn kept waiting outside the room together with Leigh.
But there were still other pregnantdies in thebor room besides Jessie.
When hearing the scream of those pregnantdies, Leigh couldn’t help getting goose bump all over. He
even determined to keep her away from any future pregnancy from now on.
As a nurse passed by in a hurry while heading into the room, Leigh rushed over to stop her, “If she is in
danger, save her and forget about the baby!”
“What?” the nurse was rendered confused, “Sir, what are you talking about?”
Evelyn grabbed on Leigh to pull him over. She smiled to the nurse, “Sorry. There is nothing serious.
Please get back to your work.”
As soon as the nurse left, Evelyn wore a solemn face to scold him, “Stop thinking about the worst
situation! Alright, just get out of here! You could do nothing to help her!”
“No! It only worries me even more if I walk away.” Leigh was still in fear when recalling the horrible
scream just now.
At this moment, the door was pushed opened.

A nurse came out with a baby. She looked around and asked with loud voice, “Where is the family of
Jessie?”
Leigh paused out of surprise as he didn’t expect it to be quick. He hurried over, “Here.”
“It’s a healthy boy. He weighs about 6 pounds.” Said the nurse. But then she added, “You look nervous.
Can you hold the baby?”
Evelyn walked over, “Let me do it.”
Less than ten secondster, Jessie, lying on a stretcher, was pushed out of the room.
