?Chapter 611:
The room fell silent. No one dared to speak as Ken’s reputation for ruthlessness was well-known.
Allison took Ken’s hand.
Ken was caught off guard for a moment, ncing down to lock eyes with her. Their fingers intertwined, a silent deration of their rtionship. The murmurs subsided at that.
“It seems you’re all curious about the real owner of Sunset Hill,” Allison said, her voice steady. Her every move exuded an intimidating sharpness. “Well, apart from this ring, there’s a private vi nearby essible only to the owner.”
A young man, flushed with excitement, spoke up. “Yes, there’s a vi at Sunset Hill, and only the owner can enter.” Doubt lingered in the air.
“Are you just saying that because of her beauty?”
The young man, visibly nervous, defended himself. “No, I’m a member of Sunset Hill. That vi is in the heart of the VIP area.” The truth was out. VIP status was a privilege, not a right. One had to be wealthy and influential to gain ess.
Darrel, momentarily distracted by Mny and Lindy, realized the significance of the vi. “There is such a ce. Ms. rke, would you like me to arrange a car?”
Allison shook her head. “No need. It’s close by. Let’s open the VIP area today. We’llpensate the memberster.”
Darrel nodded, turning to make the arrangements. “I’ll see to it.” Allison then turned to Ken. “There’s something inside I want to give you.”
Ken subtly lowered his head, a hint of a smile ying on his lips, and replied, “Alright. I’ll be waiting for your gift, Allison.” As for Allison’s secret, Ken didn’t pry. Their silent understanding spoke volumes.
The crowd was excited by the prospect of exploring the area. It was the VIP area, for Pete’s sake! A ce they’d only ever seen in their wildest dreams. Now it was theirs to dive into for real!
Even if Allison’s identity turned out to be false, who the hell cared? It was not like they handed out chances like this all the time!
Mny and Lindy, however, were far from pleased. Mny scoffed, convinced that Allison and Darrel were merely buying time with this tactic.
As she walked with the crowd toward the VIP area, she couldn’t help but mock Allison in her mind. How could Allison have owned Sunset Hill for over a decade?
In her opinion, the opening of the VIP area was part of a scheme by Allison and Darrel. If they bribed the staff, they could easily silence everyone.
“Mny, we need to keep a close eye on them. Allison is up to something!” Lindy shared the same sentiment, her face full of disdain. “She’s just stalling, trying to cover her tracks. We can’t let her get away with it!”
Lindy and Mny finally arrived at the vi, their feet sore from navigating in high heels all day. Darrel had instructed the staff to clear a path in the VIP area. The sleek, exotic design of the house stood before them — modern and imposing in its quiet elegance.
Lindy, her gaze flicking across the vi’s pristine facade, scoffed under her breath. “This is the ce that only the owner of Sunset Hill can enter? It doesn’t look that special to me!”
