Chapter 4 I Have to Find Her
Kennedy didn’t continue his sentence, but Charlotte knew that he was threatening her.
Charlotte was irritated; she had quit her job because of him, and now she was obligated to follow him
around.
Initially, they had agreed not to get involved with each other’s lives, but they were now forced to stick
together. It was not like she wanted it to happen.
They walked all the way to the door in silence. Kennedy, who was sitting in a wheelchair, was being
lifted into his private car. Out of reflex, Charlotte wanted to tag along as she had bent down and was
about to get into the car, but Nathan had reached out to stop her.
“Miss Wilson, this is our Young Master Moore’s private vehicle.”
Charlotte was taken aback. “What do you mean?”
Kennedy turned to look at her, his calm and deep eyes filled with mockery. “You are still not qualified to
be my assistant.”
Hearing this, Charlotte’s expression changed and she asked, “Then why did you agree with your
grandfather just now?”
Kennedy ignored her and averted his cold gaze. Just as Nathan was about to close the car door,
Charlotte reached out to block her and asked, “If you leave, then what should I do? How should I
exin this to grandfather…”
Upon hearing her mentioned Old Master Moore, anger shed through Kennedy eyes, and he stared at
her fiercely with his squinted eyes.
“Nathan, tell her the way and let her walk there!”
Charlotte was speechless. How can such an awful person exist?
Nathan informed her of the route without any expression and then shut the car coldly.
Kennedy’s icy eyes nced at the petite figure standing at the gate through the rearview mirror for a
moment before retracting his gaze.
A momentter, he thought of something and said, “Any news regarding the woman I’ve asked you to
look for?”
Regarding this matter, Nathan replied apologetically, “Young Master Moore, there wasn’t any CCTV on
that road, and it was raining heavily that day; the night was too dark to see the passersby clearly. But if
you give me a little more time, I believe we can find her.”
Hearing this, Kennedy’s aura became cooler and said, “It has been a month. If I’m not wrong, she
should be pregnant at this time.”
Nathan was startled. An unknown woman is pregnant with a Young Master Moore’s child? That''s not

After exining herself to the security at the front desk for a long time, she finally got in the elevator
with Manfred’s help.
“Go out to the right, and Kennedy’s office will be at the end. I still have errands to run, so I won’t be
bringing you there. Can you find your own way?”
Charlotte quickly nodded and thanked Moore Lihan, “Moores, I can. Thank you, Manfred!”

“Argh! Kennedy! How can you do this to me?!”
Charlotte found that what just hit her was a woman with heavy make-up and disheveled clothes. After
that woman fell, she quickly got up and pointed to the person inside as she cursed.
Sitting in his wheelchair, Kennedy’s ck eyes were frightening, and his body exuded a strong aura.
“F*ck off!” he said through his thin lips.
“Y-You!” The woman was so upset her fingertip started trembling “Kennedy, who do you think you are?
If you are not the Second Young Master of the Moore Family, do you think I’d even bat an eye at you?
You’re a cripple! Do you really think so highly of yourself? How dare you keep refusing me?”
Being insulted as a handicap, Kennedy’s eyes suddenly became cold and violent.
Just when the woman wanted to continue cursing, Charlotte, who was at the side, suddenly got up and

The seductive woman, who got mocked, immediately turned to Charlotte. Then, she pointed to her and
said sarcastically, “Who are you? Are you in any ce to talk here?”
Charlotte smiled, raised her hand, and gave the woman a sudden hard p.

She raised her chin confidently at the stunned woman. “I’m Kennedy’s wife. How dare you seduce my
husband in front of me? Do you think I’m blind?”
Looking at the woman who was still pointing at her, Charlotte said through gritted teeth, “Get lost now!
Or should I ask the security guard to pick you up and throw you to the streets?” She pretended to take
out her mobile to call the security guard.
“Y-Y-You…” The embarrassed woman covered her swollen face. Before leaving, she said unwillingly,
“Just wait. Sooner orter, you’ll be begging me on your knees!”
Charlotte raised her hand and tried to hit her again, which immediately scared the woman off.
Seeing the timid person in front of him turning into another person, Kennedy’s eyes were filled with
curiosity, judgment, and some other strange feelings.

Up until Charlotte turned her head to look at him, Kennedy immediately returned to his usual cold
appearance. He then remarked in a monotonous tone, “ It seems that I’ve underestimated you.”
Charlotte shrugged her shoulders disapprovingly “Although it’s nominal, we’re still husband and wife.
As a wife, how can I allow another woman to seduce and nder my husband?”
Kennedy was stunned for a few seconds because those words came out of her lips so naturally. After
noticing that he went out of character, he immediately sneered in a cold voice, “Hmph, divorced women
are so experienced; they can call just about anyone their husband, huh?”
The sarcastic words made Charlotte frown. After thinking of the task assigned to her by Old Master
Moore, Charlotte walked behind Kennedy and grabbed his wheelchair before saying, “Okay, I’vee
to the office by myself just as you demanded. You should keep your word, right?”
Charlotte didn’t wait for him to answer and merely pushed him inside before asking, “What do you need
me to do?”
Kennedy didn’t answer, though his aura became strong and forceful. He then sneered and teased, “It
seems that you’re really trying to mess with me.”
Charlotte pursed her lips. “I don''t want to be your assistant as well, but this is your grandfather’s
wishes.”
“Are you using him to threaten me?” His deep voice sounded dangerous.
Charlotte “Why would I? I’m a victim too. Can’t wepromise on this?”
Charlotte noticed that the office was quite messy; some documents were even scattered on the ground.
It must be the work of that woman who just left.
With this in mind, she squatted down to pick up the documents and ce them on the desk after
finishing.
Kennedy looked at this series of actions, and his eyes turned sinister.
It’s such a joke for me to be moved by her previous behavior! She’s just a vain woman as well as the
old man’s spy, and she did all that so that she could get close to me! I have to admit that her
techniques are much better than any other woman from before.

“Mr. Kennedy, the meeting will start in another five minutes.”
Nathan was startled for a moment when he saw Charlotte; he didn’t expect that she would actually walk

Kennedy originally wanted to let Nathan push him out of the room, but he suddenly thought of
something, thereupon he suggested, “You want to be my assistant, right? Very well, I’ll give you a
chance.”
