Chapter 148
“stor, I’m not your possession. I’m a person with feelings.” Anastasia pointed to her heart. “You hurt
me so much, and yet you’re still asking me why I’m holding on to these feelings.”
“Is it impossible for us to start over?” stor asked in a low voice.
“Let’s end this.” Anastasia felt tired of the rtionship.
stor remained silent and looked at Anastasia.
However, Anastasia turned around and walked to the subway, ignoring stor.
Her marriage had reallye to an end at this point.
Anastasia looked up at the night sky, feeling her breath be heavier.
It had been four years since she met stor for the first time.
She trusted him wholeheartedly, but he squandered her sincerity.
Life offered numerous possibilities, and she had merely made a wrong choice among them, and that
was all.
It waste, and there weren’t many people at the subway station except for a few staggering drunken
individuals.
Anastasia subconsciously tried to avoid them.
“Why are you avoiding me?” A drunkard seemed to be unhappy with Anastasia’s dodging.
“Why are you avoiding me?” Drunk people tended to target those they perceived as vulnerable. It was
human nature.
There were several tall men beside Anastasia. They also moved aside, but the drunkard only pointed at
Anastasia and scolded her.
Anastasia didn’t want to provoke the drunkard, so she turned sideways and was about to leave.
However, the drunkard rushed over.
“Get lost!”
Anastasia was startled and turned around to see stor grabbing the drunkard and pushing him away.
Anastasia frowned and continued walking as if she didn’t know stor.
She didn’t want to get involved with stor anymore.
“Why are you following me?” Anastasia looked at stor angrily when she got on the subway.
“I said I would send you home. It’s not safe for you to be alone,” stor replied in a low voice.
“When are we getting a divorce certificate?” Anastasia asked.
“Don’t you want me to go to your art exhibition?” stor changed the topic.
Anastasia frowned and thought, “Is he going to y dumb?”
“Are you going?” Anastasia asked.
“Yes.” stor nodded.
“Felicia is also hosting an árt exhibition on the same day. Are you sure you want to attend mine?”
Anastasia asked, seeking confirmation.
“Yes,” stor said, loosening his tie as he leaned back in his seat. “If you want me to attend, I will.”
“I was hoping you could join. After all, this is myst art exhibition, but it doesn’t matter anymore.”
Anastasia suddenly felt that it was not so important anymore.
Life was short anyway, so the end was not important.
“Anastasia, I’m sorry…” stor suddenly said.
Anastasia was momentarily stunned and unsure of his intentions.
“About Sienna and Xavier fabricating the photos, I’ve misunderstood you. Sorry.” The police had
informed stor about Xavier’s confession, and it was evident that stor was somewhat taken
aback.
Because of the photos, stor had misunderstood Anastasia for so many years.
Anastasia clenched her hands tightly.
She thought, “Sorry? What’s the point of apologizing?”
“Anastasia, if Sienna broke thew, you should leave it to the police instead of handling it yourself. Do
you understand what I’m saying?” stor’s gaze was deep and worried. “Jason is an impulsive person
who ignores thew. I don’t want you to be influenced by him,” he added.
Anastasia frowned and didn’t know what stor would say next.
“No matter your rtionship with Harold, it’s all in the past now. You were young back then, and I
believe you were deceived. But you shouldn’t engage in illegal activities with Jason because he sent a
video. He has a history of being impulsive and was in a juvenile detention center. You shouldn’t act
recklessly.” stor was concerned that Sienna’s disappearance might be connected to Anastasia.

Anastasia furrowed her brow and gazed at stor. “Do you believe I had something to do with Sienna’s
disappearance?”
“I hope it’s not, but I suspect Jason is involved.” stor’s gaze bore into Anastasia’s. “After Sienna
vanished, I had someone look into it. When news of the incident went viral, Jason tracked her down.
He forcibly entered her home, and then she disappeared.”
