Chapter 32 : Back at It Again

    Chapter 32 : Guild

    …

    [Name : Wise Sage]

    Class: High Sorcerer

    Level: 103

    ....

As Noah aka Demerit Liberty inspected Wilhelm or Wilhelm''s character status, he couldn''t help but nod his head at his friend''s accomplishments. A High Sorcerer named Wise Sage, had ascended to level 103, a remarkable feat by any standard especially relative to the time he joined.

And the class High Sorcerer was one of great prestige and power, a great rank in the magic arts within the New World. Noah could also see that Wilhelm had expertly allocated his attribute points while choosing to put more points on intelligence which could maximize magical abilities.

Each piece of equipment of his was also carefully chosen to complement Wise Sage''s playstyle as a High Sorcerer. The robe that he wore in particular, was an impressive item, and it was clear that his character was well-equipped just from a single glance.

"Impressive. Alright, now there is something that I want us to talk about. Let''s get a good place to discuss." Noah said as he looked around.

Wilhelm raised his eyebrow, but he nodded his head nonetheless. "Alright, I know some place here."

    ...

As Noah and Wilhelm sat in a tavern bathed in the soft glow of the hanging lanterns that adorned the establishment, they delved into a discussion in order to shape their path within the vast and unpredictable world of the New World.

Noah, at the moment, had a fiery image burning on him, one that seemed to be able to ignite the surrounding.

“...As we all know this fact already. This New World, is like that of the real world, with its own power dynamics, politics, and opportunities. This world was like the second world, the impact it brings is absolutely massive. And just like in the real world, influence is the key to success."

Wise Sage, who was draped in robes of mystical significance, listened attentively. He knew Noah well enough to understand that when his friend spoke with such fervor, something significant was afoot.

“...I want to establish a presence, a guild, perhaps. Not just any guild, but one that can make a real impact in this world. We''ll gather individuals, adventurers who share our vision, and we''ll rise through the ranks, gaining recognition..." Noah continued.

Wise Sage''s expression shifted from one of interest to one of contemplation. He understood the gravity of Noah''s proposal. In the New World, guilds were one of the cornerstones of power and influence. They could control territories, engage in economic endeavors, and even shape the game''s narrative through their actions.

"You''re right," Wilhelm acknowledged, his voice toned.

"But my friend..., you know as well as I do that competition in the New World can be fierce. Many guilds vie for dominance, and just like the saying, all is fair in war and love… Forget the cringy last part but as I was saying, this is a place where the line between competition and cutthroat tactics can blur." He said with a suggestive tone.

Noah nodded, acknowledging the significance in Wilhelm''s words. The New World was a place where players pursued success with an intensity that mirrored real-life ambitions. Nah, one could argue that the intensity seemed to be more rowdy here. In the quest for power, alliances were formed and shattered, intrigues were woven, and rivalries were forged in the fires of war.

"That''s precisely why we need a clear vision," Noah spoke with conviction.

This book''s true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

“I know this might seem daunting, but don''t belittle our potential. You''ve become a formidable High Sorcerer, and even I know that the class was not easy to get at all. You''ve earned your achievement through skill, dedication, and strategic thinking. And now, I believe it''s time for us to take the next step together."

Wise Sage, with his robe adorned with magical symbols, still listened intently. There was a flicker in his eyes as he kept on listening to Noah’s words.

"Imagine the possibilities. In this game, power and influence can translate into real opportunities. Guilds have risen to prominence, controlled territories, and shaped the game''s narrative. By establishing our own guild, we can not only have influence but naturally get more material things. Wealth would be a natural thing to have too later on…" Noah continued with his hands that kept on gesturing his idea.

Wilhelm pondered the notion. It wasn''t merely about acquiring in-game assets, building and getting more assets outside of the New World too was also the effects of it. This idea would naturally incite any people who heard it.

But he had reservations. Cause from his way toward his current level 103 now, he had met many kinds of people and events.

He knew what kind of place this New World was. A one of a kind game. The game that had shifted the focus of the world. The game that had shifted any big entertainments available. The game that had destroyed the barriers around the world, where now they could meet one another ''physically''. The game that had created a second life for anybody that played the game…

"Noah, I understand the potential, but you know how competitive this world can be. There are established guilds with vast resources and powerful alliances. What chance do we have?"

Noah met his friend''s gaze, his eyes reflecting a burning determination. "It''s precisely because of those obstacles that this opportunity is so appealing. The road to success is filled with them…” Noah kept on talking his idea to Wise Sage, his voice brimming with fervor and goals.

“...And as our guild grows, so will our influence. We''ll control territories, getting bucks.... This chance is big, and it''s filled with opportunities waiting for us..."

Wilhelm considered his friend''s words carefully. Noah''s vision was ambitious, but it was also inspiring. Even hearing his words set his heart aflame a little bit.

"I see your point, De…merit. Becoming pioneers, founders, and such would be really such an achievement..." Wilhelm nodded, his initial reservations giving way to a hint of such imagination.

A small smile crossed Noah''s face. "Exactly my friend. In the end, this goal was far more than achievements or bucks. We are thinking far ahead. I don''t know if I should say this to you, but it''s like the situation in the real world. If you want to be guaranteed for your income, you apply for a job. But if you want something greater, you take the risk and start your own business..."

Wilhelm was a bit speechless. Yes, you are a successful person who has a good company alright, congratulations...

Still, Wilhelm thought in his mind that Noah indeed had a point there. After all, in front of him, there was a door for him to just join a big guild and get a high position right off the bat. He knew what kind of capacity and capability that he had, and he believed it would be a matter of time to get it as long as he chose that way.

Yet now, Noah had offered him an option. A chance for him to create something big with the man who had carved a path for himself back then. He knew it himself that Noah had worked, planned, and risked his efforts off to make his company back then. If he had the chance to make something similar with the said person as his collaborator, even if it was in this game, he would be more than happy to oblige.

Especially when his affair in the real world wasn’t in any kind of desperation. Under Noah’s employment, he lived very well.

“Alright then, I''m with you Bo… Demerit. Let''s build something remarkable in this world. A guild that not only excels but also is influential. A guild that would make us rich... wait, you are rich already..." Wilhelm nodded with a grin, his concerns seemingly had been tempered by his friend''s enthusiasm.

As the two friends discussed their visions with laughter here and there, they knew that their path would be filled with obstacles. The New World was a place where legends were born, but it was also a place where countless dreams faded into obscurity. However, with their shared vision, a spark was naturally formed. Small it might be, but it somehow seemed like it could burn a whole forest if time let it be.

In this realm, where possibilities seemed to be as vast as the imagination, Noah and Wilhelm, named as the Demerit Liberty and Wise Sage, set their sights on a new horizon. The two would occasionally reminiscent this discussion by themselves down the line of time, as if this decision had altered their whole destiny. And what kind of end they would get later on, time would tell.

    …

"But hear out my suggestion first. Back at it again, I know that you want to build a guild and such, but it''s really not that easy to do so. The risk is too great. You might already know that we can only have one account in this game. Only one. I don''t know. Maybe I''m just being too cautious. But I''m trying to be cautious for the grand scheme that you have.

So what I recommend is that, we join another guild first."
