Chapter 29 : Sweet
Without thinking much, he decided to postpone his endeavor regarding the Weaver class and get off to face the real world.
“Log out.”
Diingg
As the immersive New World gradually faded from Noah''s senses, he found himself returning to the realm of reality. The hum of the gaming cabinet subsided, replaced by the familiar sounds of the world outside. Slowly, he disentangled himself from the virtual threads that had seemingly woven their hold around his consciousness.
“Ahh…”
With a languid stretch, Noah rose from the capsule, his body readjusting to the weight of gravity. The transition from the dynamic battles within the game to the confines of his physical space was a surreal experience, akin to stepping out of a vivid dream and into the muted colors of the waking world.
A glance at the clock confirmed what he had been aware of. Time had slipped away as he delved into the New World expanse. His thoughts shifted to the commitments he had outside of the game,
The real-world responsibilities that occupied his life often necessitated the juggling of different roles, and Noah was well-versed in navigating these changes.
“Lemme just… brace up myself a bit.”
He made his way to the mirror, briefly assessing his appearance. He straightened his shirt collar and ran his fingers through his hair, a cursory attempt at presenting a composed fa?ade.
…
"Good day to you Boss…" After Noah went out from his front door, he was greeted by a man with a beard. His suits were tidy, and his body was looking fit too. He looked to be around 40 years old.
Wilhelm, a loyal and capable member of Noah''s subordinates, stood by the car, his presence a pose to the professionalism that anybody would value in his work. With a thick and seemingly neat beard, and an air of quiet confidence, Wilhelm exuded an aura of reliability. His hazel eyes held a depth of experience that hinted at a life well-lived, and the thin smile on his face seemingly spoke of both wisdom and intelligence.
"Indeed a good day that we have." Noah answered while putting sunglasses over his head.
As Noah made his way to the car, Wilhelm held the door open for him, his eyes conveying a sense of respect for the man in front of him.
"Boss, all ready to go?"
Noah acknowledged the gesture with a grateful smile. "So it seems… Thanks.“
Wilhelm''s lips quirked into a faint grin, revealing a glimpse of his warm nature beneath the professional looking exterior. "Just doing my job, Sir. Let''s have a safe journey back."
He neared and entered the car that had been prepared for him. The man complied as he also entered the car, into the driver seat.
Without taking much time, the car started to turn on.
“Haaa….” Noah sighed while looking at the surrounding outside the window.
The change from the New World chamber to the real world was a transition marked both by physical space and also through a shift in mindset. The echoes of battles began to dissipate wholly, replaced by the songs of the birds flying in the air. Noah''s role as a successful business owner demanded his attention, and he embraced it with the same vigor he did in the New World.

Brrmm
As Noah''s car gradually started to pull away from the curb, ready to navigate the city''s maze of streets, a heartwarming voice greeted him and Wilhelm. The rhythmic patter of quick footsteps approached from behind, and before they could fully register the source of the sound, two youthful figures burst into view, their laughter carried by the gentle breeze.
Noah turned to see the source of the excitement, and a wide smile spread across his face as he locked eyes with the two young souls who were racing toward them. The boy, with a twinkle in his eye and a mischievous grin, led the charge. He looked to be about 5 years old, his vibrant energy mirrored in his unruly hair that seemed to dance with every step. A pair of curious, twinkling eyes held a sense of wonder and a hint of the adventures his young heart had already embarked upon.
Following closely behind was the girl, who seemed to be his younger sister, with a head of tousled curls that framed her cherubic face. Her laughter was a melody that danced through the air, carrying a purity that only childhood could bring. With sparkling eyes and a dimpled smile, she radiated a bashful joy that seemed to infuse the very atmosphere around her.
As the boy and girl approached, their steps slowed as they caught sight of Noah''s welcoming smile. “Ohh… You guys woke up… Come.”
The boy skidded to a stop just a few feet away, his breath coming in quick pants as he grinned up at Noah. "Haaa! We hear your car! Where are you going?"
Noah went out of the car and crouched down to their eye level, his warmth evident in his eyes as he addressed the boy. "Baby come... I thought you two are sleeping? Hahaha... I''m here, alright. How have you two been?"
The girl joined her brother, her small hand clutching his as she offered Noah a shy looking smile. “Umm… Were good..."
"Good... good... you''re doing well? How''s your study been doing, eh?" Noah''s smile widened as he spoke to the children, his tone warm and inviting while holding up the two children in his embrace.
The boy''s face lit up as he eagerly launched into a tale of his wonders, his words a whirlwind of excitement and animated gestures. The girl chimed in occasionally, her words soft but filled with enthusiasm. Noah listened attentively, his gaze fixed on them as he absorbed every detail of their stories.
Wilhelm couldn''t help but be captivated by the innocence and liveliness they exuded. The simplicity of their joy was a stark contrast to the complexities of the adult world, and he found himself momentarily lost in the magic of their presence.
“Hehe…”
He watched the interaction unfold, a feeling of nostalgia tugging at his heartstrings. The pureness of their emotions and the unguarded innocence with which they approached Noah brought back memories of simpler times. He observed as Noah effortlessly bridged the gap between the worlds of adults and children, his genuine looking interest and care apparent in every word and gesture.
Wilhelm leaned against the car, a little smile somehow appeared on his mouth by the scene unfolding before him."I only need a cigarrette, a sun glasses, and facing the sky occasionally as I look at this protagonist. That''s more than enough to get an adaptation, dang."
"Hahaha... Wilhelm, where are those sweet chocolate cakes that I’ve ordered before?"
"On my way, Sir."
Wilhelm proceeded to go back to the car and bring a packaged box, in which the cakes were laid inside. Hearing the conversations and seeing the box, the kids'' eyes were wide like saucers.
"Cake! Give me! I want all!"
"Me... want to..."
Noah and Wilhelm couldn''t help but laugh looking at kids'' antics. They looked like they were two greedy merchants that were seeing a bag of gold in the middle of the street.
Eventually, as the sun rose higher in the sky and the city''s lights began to twinkle in the distance, Noah rose to his feet, his eyes still holding the same joy that had captivated the children. “You guys be good children at home, okay. Don’t make your mother worry…”
The boy and girl nodded eagerly, their smiles reflecting their enthusiasm.
"Alright kids, say goodbye..." A woman that had been appearing around them a few moments ago urged the two kids as she patted their heads lovingly.
"Bye! Bye bye!"
"Good bye..."
As they bid their farewells and turned to head back, Noah and Wilhelm once again entered the car with a somewhat joyful feelings. They waved their hands toward them as the car slowly parted from the house.
