Chapter 16 : The Two Guilds
“Ahhh… Home sweet home yea Baby,” Noah spoke in satisfaction. He stretched his body, allowing his muscles to loosen up a little.
Right after staying in his company for a while, Noah went out to his house right away. Though one thing was that this house was different from the last house. It was still relatively similar in terms of size and value, looking very neat and planned well design wise.
Looking at Noah’s appearance, it seemed that he had emerged from his nap. It was just that his cloth was a bit loose for some reason, as if he had just done an exercise.
With a little yawn, Noah made his way to his gaming pod, his fingers deftly navigating the controls.
Thung Thung…
“Hmm… I guess I’ll look over first.”
Before immersing himself in his endeavour, Noah decided to take a moment to catch up on the latest news and events that were taking place within the game. He also glanced at the notifications, messages, and updates that greeted him, trying to see the ongoing activities and events within the game.
And for a while, he navigated the in-game news section, where various updates and announcements were posted for the players to see. These news pieces provided insights into the dynamic environment of the game.
As he scrolled through the updates, Noah''s curiosity was piqued by some of the headlines and summaries that appeared on the screen.
...
A powerful and elusive world boss known as "Medius Garvala" had emerged in a remote region called Serene Spring. Players from across territories were banding together to form raid parties in an attempt to challenge this formidable adversary. The event promised rich rewards for those who managed to defeat the boss.
...
A legendary weapon called the "Blinding Sky Sword" was discovered by a player who had delved deep into a nightmarish dungeon. Some players speculated about the potential strategies, effects, and immense strength that could be had by wielding such a powerful weapon.
...
Valiant Wave Guild and Wreaking Havoc Guild were at war at each other. Skirmishes had been going on for a while, and it seemed that the two guilds were preparing for a big battle very soon.
...
The first 2 news were big news that scaled on a macro level. Only, the information regarding the two of them told that they were far from where Noah was at. The game world was really spacious and vast after all. Noah would still be able to go to the 2 places, but for what? He would probably lose all chances to take some advantages by the time he got there, and for the second, snatching a Legendary weapon was not easy at all.
Especially when his level was still low, as he would still be considered a rookie player.
But the third news piqued his interest more. Noah''s attention was drawn to the news article detailing the ongoing guild war between two prominent factions: the Valiant Wave and Wreaking Havoc. These two guilds had ignited a fierce rivalry that had captured the attention of players in the vicinity.
It was simply because Noah was around the vicinity of these two guilds.
The ongoing conflict between Valiant Wave and Wreaking Havoc had reached new heights as they vied for control over key territories, valuable resources, and strategic strongholds within their area of influence. Both guilds had demonstrated impressive teamwork and strategy, which had led to a series of intense battles and shifting allegiances.

Players were closely following the developments of this epic clash, as the outcome of the war would undoubtedly impact the surrounding landscape and the balance of power among the various factions. The rivalry between Valiant Wave and Wreaking Havoc had sparked competition and excitement in the player community, driving them to align themselves with one of the guilds or spectate the battles from the sidelines.
Because Noah was preoccupied with the clue regarding the Unknown Rarity Weaver Class before, he couldn''t really pay any mind to the other players. But now that he got what he wanted to achieve already, he was free.
And with that, he decided to go look at this ongoing rivalry first as he wanted to see the war too.
Diinngg
As the digital world unfolded before him, he felt a familiar rush of light temporarily enveloping him. In a moment, the screen looked like it flickered to brighten up, and he found himself once again in the fantastical realm he had come to know so well. His in-game character, Demerit Liberty, stood ready for action.
He proceeded to navigate through the bustling nearby city, where he could sense the heightened tension in the air, and the streets were abuzz with discussions about the ongoing conflict.
As he arrived at a central plaza, Noah saw a group of players huddled together, engaged in conversations about the latest battles by the two guilds. Some players were passionately discussing the strengths and weaknesses of each faction, while others were sharing rumors and speculations about potential alliances and such.
Approaching the gathering, Noah could overhear snippets of conversations.
"Did you hear about the surprise attack Wreaking Havoc launched last night? They managed to infiltrate Valiant Wave''s main fortress and seize a significant portion of their resources."
"Yeah, but Valiant Wave retaliated with a counterattack this morning. They reclaimed the territory and inflicted heavy losses on Wreaking Havoc. It''s a back-and-forth struggle."
"I heard Nethril Nightshade, the leader of Wreaking Havoc, is planning something big. Some say he''s been gathering support from other guilds."
"And Kaelin Stormblade from Valiant Wave? He''s known for his strategic genius. If anyone can turn the tide of this war, it''s him."
Amid the conversations, Noah noticed that a nearby notice board was filled with recruitment posters and messages from various guilds. There, he could see the two guilds who were seeking skilled players to bolster their ranks for the ongoing conflict, while others offered lucrative rewards for information about enemy movements or other related things.
“Hmmm…”
As Noah observed the players'' interactions, he considered the potential opportunities presented by the guild war. Engaging in the conflict could provide him with valuable things.
Examining the information available on the overall levels of the Valiant Wave and Wreaking Havoc guilds, Noah noted that they were relatively new guilds with members at an average level of around 50. The fact that these guilds were composed mainly of relatively rookie players interested him.
The news of bounties placed on members of the rival guilds, Valiant Wave and Wreaking Havoc, had also caught Noah''s attention. As he considered the potential rewards, a grin crossed his face.
The prospect of earning a substantial sum of in-game currency by taking down members of these powerful guilds was quite enticing.
He knew that engaging in this endeavor wouldn''t be without risks. Members of both guilds were likely to be highly skilled players with well-developed builds.
And that was the thing that he wanted to involve himself with.
With his analytical mindset, Noah began to devise a plan.
If someone wanted to join in the fun, naturally one would need to consider the potential repercussions of engaging in such actions. After all, being targeted by both guilds could lead to dangerous confrontations, ambushes, and possibly even large-scale battles.
Unless one was powerful enough or had other things that could act as a deterrent just like the background for example, it would be unwise to just join the battle blindly. Getting targeted and hunted down by the guilds would be a pain in the arse.
Or if one just decided to join one of the two guilds at the get go, involving himself in the battles and all would also be a choice that was worth pondering. Joining a guild would naturally give advantages just like how there would be guild resting barracks, quests with lucrative rewards, member only shops, and many other things. But that would also make one to be obligated in doing tasks employed by the guilds. Just like in this war, they would be needed to join in the battles.
A lot of players chose to just stand by and be the spectacles, watching the fun from the sidelines while betting who would emerge victorious. No risks, no penalties.
"Alright... it seems blood is going to be spilled out pretty soon then, heh." Noah said with the grin still attached on his face.
