Marigold had always met Caspian and Harry separately. Seeing them together now, looking identical, threw her off.
"Which one of you is Harry, and which is Caspian?" Marigold asked, rubbing her eyes.
"You don''t need to know. Just answer me, are you here to take us away while Mom and Dad aren''t here? Are you a trafficker?" Harry demanded.
Marigold replied, "No way! How can you say that? I''m your grandma! How could I be a trafficker?"
"Stop acting all high and mighty. You say you''re our grandma, but we have to ept you first," Harry shot back. "Last time you took me to Tranquil Valley mansion to hide me from Mom. How can I ept a grandma like that?" Marigold quickly said, "Caspian, I took you to Tranquil Valley mansion to help you recover. You got me wrong."
"I''m Harry, not Caspian," Harry corrected, annoyed.
Marigold was stunned. Harry said he had been to Tranquil Valley mansion, but wasn''t it Caspian who had been there?
"Then you are Caspian?" Marigold asked, turning to the real Caspian. "I took you to Tranquil Valley mansion because of your bone fracture..."
"I don''t have a bone fracture," Caspian interrupted. "I wouldn''t do something as dumb as falling and breaking a bone."
Harry was speechless..
Marigold was confused. Who went to Tranquil Valley mansion, and who had the bone fracture?
"Don''t mess with me," she said.
"No tricks, it''s all true," Caspian said. "We know you don''t like Mom. So, as her kids, we don''t have to like you."
"Yeah, we don''t ept you," Harry added. "I''ve called you grandma enough times already."
"I am your grandma. If you don''t ept me, do you know how sad I''ll be?" Marigold was getting desperate.
"We''ll ept you when you ept our mom. Simple as that," Harry said.
"Exactly!" Elisa chimed in. "Anyone who bullies our mom doesn''t deserve to be our grandma. We won''t acknowledge you!"
Marigold was on the verge of tears. Her hatred for Sten deepened. Sten had taken ric away, and now her grandkids didn''t ept her because of Sten. What could she do?
"I didn''t bully your mom. How could I?" Marigold lied, trying to appease them.
"Caspian, Harry, Elisa, I made mistakes before. I was wrong. But please ept me. If you don''t, I''ll be really sad."
Marigold started to sob. Elisa felt a bit sorry for her and looked at Caspian and Harry, whispering, "She seems really sad. Should we..."
"Elisa, don''t be fooled," Caspian warned. "She''s very malicious."
Caspian had seen too much like this as he grew up. Marigold had always hated him. If ric hadn''t protected him, Caspian believed Marigold would have hurt him.
"Crying won''t work," Harry said. "Unless you apologize to our mom in front of us, ept her, and treat her well, we can''t forgive you."
"You want me to apologize to her?" Marigold was shocked. "What? I apologize to that bi..."
"Mrs. Knight," Joe quickly reminded her.
Marigold bit her tongue. Reluctantly, she said, "Even if I have to apologize, I''ll wait until she''s less busy. Her Reassuring Clinic just opened, and she''s swamped. I can''t disturb her, right?"
Marigold continued, "Your dad''s project is almost done, and ric is very busy. Your mom has the Reassuring Clinic and works every day. She can''t take care of you. Why don''t youe back to the Knight manor with me? I built a yground in the backyard. It''s really fun."
"yground? What kind of yground?" Elisa''s eyes lit up, but Harry cast her a sharp look.
Harry mocked, "Haven''t you seen a yground before?"
Elisa shut up. Caspian quicklyforted her, "I''ll take you to a yground next time."
"Okay." Elisa smiled.
"So, you''re still here to take us away?" Harry said, trying to get rid of her. "You better leave now, or I''ll call Dad."
"I haven''t had a close look at you yet. You don''t have to go back with me, but let me stay here and look at you. I''ll leave when it gets dark, okay?"
Marigold yed pitiful. "I really miss you. I want to make it up to you. Give me a chance."
Seeing Marigold''s emotional act, the kids exchanged nces. Except for Caspian, Harry and Elisa seemed less firm.
"Don''t be fooled," Caspian said, taking Elisa''s hand and leading her upstairs. "If you really don''t want to leave, Harry will stay with you."
Harry cursed under his breath. What kind of brother was Caspian? So irresponsible!
Clearly, they should share the suffering, but now it was all on him.
Sten was exhausted today. She had been bombarded by reporters and attended a banquet, staying busy untilte. Her feet hurt so much that she didn''t want to take another step. They were staying at the Reassuring Clinic tonight. Sten kicked off her high heels and copsed onto the bed. ric quickly got on the bed to massage her legs.
"Standing all day in those heels, of course, you''re tired," ric said.
Sten sighed, "You think I wanted to? As your wife, I have to look elegant and beautiful."
"Yes, you worked hard," ric said. "The Reassuring Clinic is open. Starting tomorrow, you''ll be going to work?"
Sten nodded. "Of course."
ric advised, "Hire a few more doctors, or you''ll be worn out."
"I think so too. I''m on it."
"Okay." ric continued to massage her.
"Massage my shoulders. They''re so sore."
ric started massaging her shoulders. Sten closed her eyes and enjoyed it. "I have to say your massage skills are quite professional. It feels really good."
"d you enjoy it." While ric was massaging, his phone buzzed with a message. He nced at it.
