"ric?" Gtea softly called out to him, but ric was so deep in thought that he didn''t hear her. So Gtea didn''t say anything further.
Gtea mentioned that Griffon had long known she was Sten. If he tampered with the DNA test results as well, then Griffon must know about the whole situation. Ravenna kept muttering...
It seemed like ric had figured something out. He shuddered in shock, startling Gtea, who quickly asked, "What''s wrong, ric?"
"Nothing." ric was truly astonished by his thoughts and couldn''t believe it.
Could Gtea''s car ident be rted to Griffon?
If so, how malicious must Griffon be, the uncle he called and treated as a father since childhood?
Just then, the director walked in, holding Gtea''s examination reports. ric snapped out of his thoughts and asked, "How is my wife''s recovery?"
The director replied respectfully, "Not bad. However, recovery is not a short-term process. She still needs to take it easy and maintain a good mood."
"Okay, thank you." Gtea took the director''s reports and then asked ric, "Are you feeling better now?"
"Well," ric responded perfunctorily, then led Gtea out.
As they passed the inpatient department, ric couldn''t help but nce in the direction of Ravenna''s room. Griffon should still be there.
"Gtea, I''ll have a driver take you back. I need to take care of something and wille find youter."
If Gtea''s car ident was really rted to Griffon, and if Griffon caught wind of his suspicions, it would be challenging to gather evidence after such a long period. If Griffon acted first, there might be no traces left at all.
"Where are you going?" Gtea asked hurriedly, seeing ric so anxious. "But I haven''t finished talking to you."
ric said urgently, "I''ll talk to you when I get back. Wait here; the driver will be here soon."
Before Gtea could say anything more, ric had already driven off. Gtea felt helpless; she hadn''t even told him about her fallout with Marigold.
Gtea took a deep breath and checked the time on her phone. The day was almost over, and she was really nervous. What if Marigold remained stubborn?
Soon, the driver arrived to pick up Gtea. Ambrose had assigned bodyguards to her, who were in the shadows. Because Gtea had been in the hospital for so long, the bodyguards reported to Denny.
"Mr. Vale," Denny reported after Ambrose had taken a nap in the rest area, exhausted from working day and night.
"What is it?" Ambrose askedzily.
"The bodyguards assigned to Ms. Storm reported that she spent a long time in the hospital today. I had them find out that Ms. Storm was there for a follow-up after a car ident."
Since Ambrose was particrly concerned about Sten''s matters, Denny felt it necessary to report this to him. As expected, Ambrose was shocked. "Sten had a car ident?"
He had thought Sten''s near-death experience six years ago was harrowing enough, but now she had also been in a car ident?
Denny replied, "Yes, she was seriously injured at the time."
Ambrose''s expression was a mix of pain and anger. He mmed his hand on the table and shouted, "ric is a jinx! Sten had a near-death experience during childbirth, and now she had a car ident after being with him! Sten. Why do you still stay with him?"
Ambrose med everything on ric, but he couldn''t do anything to him. He felt a surge of anger building up inside, ready to explode.
"What about the perpetrator?" Ambrose asked Denny.
He needed to vent his anger, and if he couldn''t do it on ric, he would do it on the perpetrator who hurt Sten.
Denny answered, "The perpetrator has already been sentenced."
"Even if they''ve been sentenced, they shouldn''t get off easy for hurting Sten. Get me the perpetrator''s information immediately."
Denny nodded. "Yes, Mr. Vale."
In such traffic idents, the sentence wouldn''t be too long. The perpetrator would serve a few years and be released, but the harm they caused Sten was irreversible. Ambrose had to vent his anger!
ric drove quickly to the police department to re-investigate Gtea''s ident case in detail.
"Is the surveince footage from the time of the incident still avable?" ric asked.
Someone answered, "Yes, it''s all preserved."
"Show it to me again."
"Okay."
The surveince video wasn''t very clear, but it was enough to see the general situation.
The ident car made a sharp turn, blocked by another vehicle. Due to the high speed, the perpetrator, Jason Gray, swerved and hit the side railing before crashing straight into Gtea.
It was possible that Jason''s initial target was Gtea, and he was just identally blocked by that car. This led to him hitting the railing first, which was why Gtea survived by a stroke of luck.
Unfortunately, ric initially thought it was just an ident and had been busy caring for Gtea in the hospital, never thoroughly investigating it.
So much time had passed, and the surveince footage along the route was long gone. If he could trace the ident car''s movements and confirm that Jason''s car had been waiting for Gtea, everything woulde to light. But it was toote now.
At least the perpetrator, Jason, was still in prison.
"Thank you." After that, ric went to prison. He had wanted to see Jason when Gtea first had the ident, and now, after all this time, he finally did.
Since ric and Gtea visited Ravenna, Griffon had been uneasy, especially hearing Ravenna muttering those few words.
Griffon questioned, "Cormac, how many times have I told you to stay away from ric, but you wouldn''t listen? You even let ric visit your mom. Do you want to drive me and your mom to our graves?"
"Think what you want. We''re in the hospital room; I don''t want to argue," Cormac replied, not bothering to engage with Griffon.
Griffon was speechless with anger, and his anxiety grew. He instructed Orion, "Orion, watch your mom. No one but doctors and nurses are allowed near her."
After that, Griffon drove to the prison to check on Jason, only to be told that ric had already been there.
Griffon said anxiously, "What did you say? ric was here?"
"Yes, Mr. ric just left."
Griffon''s heart sank. This was bad!
