Hello, reader this is ForcerRay/ParahRay here! < 3
WARNING! Ahead lays key plot points for the coming ARC so if you want to be surprised do not read this.
The Plot of Arc 2:
Arc 2 otherwise known as Champion of the Polemos will be introducing new characters in the story while expanding on supporting characters. One thing I aim to present to the reader is a cast of characters that grow with the story. We see in arc 1 how Ryn and Elnora have grown as character. However, I want to expand on that giving more growth to characters like Alex, Lilli, and Princess Celina. Furthermore, the story will aim to explain characters backgrounds and why they act the way they do. This arc will mainly be about the Polemos, the Endless Black Forest Dungeon, and School Life (politics) of the cast.
I aim to provide more clarity with characters like:
Professor Redwood
Lilli Kirkwood
Alexander
Princess Celina
Headmaster Evastor
Other new characters
Arc 2 Objectives:
Most importantly in the story I have left out key information about the magic system to the reader. I hope to explain how the magic hierarchy system works.
Arc 2 will pick up the beginning of the Phantoms third year of schooling.
Thus, a time skip of a week will go by. I’m personally not a big fan of time skips however, not much has happened in the story in a week. Only thing that has happened was the exploration of the endless dungeon.
The Phantoms made it to floor one hundred only in a week. They have not left the dungeon since exploring. I will present some open dialogue that will explain what they found and achieved for those first one hundred floors. I may even present a flashback chapter.
Things to note about Arc 2:
Arc 2 will be more about bringing the reader into the world of this story. When writing I think about what I would personally enjoy in a story. I enjoy it when a story emerges me in world as if I’m walking along with the cast. I aim to bring that type of feeling with this arc. In the beginning of arc 1 we are quickly introduced to Lilli and Alex which already has history with Ryn. I aim to explain that history and how they met one another (this may come up more in future arcs).
Reading on Amazon or a pirate site? This novel is from Royal Road. Support the author by reading it there.
If any reader has yet to realize Ryn Ashford otherwise known as Daryl Stallone struggles with PTSD. Both as a veteran of war and being abused as a child in his other life. As someone who studies health I realized that no reincarnation (isekai) story has brought up the phycological aspect of being reincarnated. Normally, after being reincarnated the protagonist freaks out after a few episodes/chapters they make some friends, and their issues are gone. (Due note there is nothing wrong with that however, I want to capitalize on introducing this missing aspect to my story).
In this story Ryn Ashford struggles with forgiving, loving, and having emotions for people. We see how his emotions have changed for his party mates from the beginning of Arc 1 to the end. Still Ryn does not understand why he feels this way he never claims that they are “emotions” but rather “feelings” as if he can simply dismiss them if needed.
I want to give Ryn new emotions to explore and have him figure it out through interactions with different scenarios.
Due note that Arc 2 will have some time skips throughout the story. Most of The Phantoms third year is them in and out of class and slowly exploring the endless dungeon.
Moreover, I will present some in class chapters presenting new professors into the story. And introducing new classmates into the story.
What is coming from Arc 3?
I have already got some ideas for Arc 3 and the premise of it. Without saying much Arc 3 aims to provide the reader with a unique story that expands the school life of the cast.
Answering Common Questions:
Why are their grammar mistakes/errors?
Due mind I take no offense with readers picking up on these errors. I normally write/proofread at night thus I look over minor errors.
Why is the story so vague about Ryn’s power?
Future arcs will explain why he is so receptive to magic. Do mind that Ryn does have the lineage of a hero in his blood and did study magic and dive into dungeons when he as younger. Additionally, Ryn already has combat experience from the military in his previous life.
Why is the story vague about certain plot points?
I did this on purpose points that are dismissed will be explored in future arcs.
