The point of this web serial is not to replace his tale, nor is it to improve upon it; it is simply to honor what is arguably the greatest story ever told… and hopefully bring it to a new audience.Although it goes without saying, the main inspiration for this is Homer himself, whether the man really existed or not—which is often debated. Whether he did indeed live all those centuries ago, or if “Homer” was simply a pseudonym or a title that was shared by multiple writers, his influence cannot be overstated. This web serial is also heavily based on EPIC the Musical, an internet sensation created by Jorge Rivera-Herrans. If you’ve listened to it, its influence will become abundantly clear to you very quickly. If you haven’t, then I recommend you do so.It should be noted, not this is not meant to be a 100% accurate adaptation of The Odyssey. That would be boring; instead, consider it a “reimagined” version of Homer’s greatest epic, spread across various different arcs in a narrative format.
