Chapter Seventeen - Burning Blade


    Jason woke up with Stella still snoring. He went downstairs and turned on the stove to make breakfast.


    Freya walked downstairs in her usual armour and walked up to Jason.


    “Jason, thank you, here is your payment.” She said and then handed him five Dime.


    “Thanks Freya, I was wondering if I could ask you a question about magic?” Jason asked Freya.

    Jason was so amazed by her.


    Jason picked up his sword and the blade caught fire.


    He admired the glow of the blade. The fire danced in the reflection of his eyes.


    He ran upstairs and kicked his bedroom door open.


    “Stella!” He shouted, and then pointed to his flaming sword. She woke up looking like a tired cat and yawned. She saw his fire sword and her eyes turned into saucers. She smiled and then started jumping on the bed.


    “How do you turn it off?” She asked?


    “I don’t know,” Jason dropped the sword and the fire was extinguished. It clattered onto the floor. Stella jumped from the bed into Jason’s arms and they kissed.
