An excited Isabe was eager to take Alex for a ride. The exasperated Alex
simply replied, “You don’t have a car te with you right now.”

Isabe knew what had happened, but she only hummed in agreement. It

“Of course.” Isabe observed closely and immediately confirmed that Jonas
and Zacharias were working together.

Isabe nodded, took her bag, and entered the elevator. She asked, “Mr.
Zimmers is going to be promoted soon, right?”

Isabe looked surprised. “But he’s a capable man! Why isn’t he being
promoted?”

Isabe entered and realized there were hardly any people there. Most of the

walked around his desk, gesturing for Isabe to take a seat.

Zacharias poured a cup of tea for Isabe once she sat down. He was smiling
warmly.
Isabe was cautious as she carefully chose her words. “I don’t think Mr.
Stokes will be able to make this trip in the future.”
Zacharias stopped pouring tea and said in astonishment, “What do you
mean?”
Isabe took a sip of tea. “His boss suspects him of taking kickbacks for his
deals, and they’re investigating.”

Zacharias put the teacup down and smiled. “That’s amusing. I’ve been
working with Mr. Stokes for years. He would never make such mistakes.” He
observed Isabe. “Say, Miss Symons, you’re not here to steal your boss’
clients, are you?”

He’s more cautious than I thought. She remained patient and leaned back on
the couch. “Mr. Zimmers, you and Mr. Stokes only have a business
partnership. Whatever cars he can sell, I can sell them too. You’re not just
willing to work with Mr. Stokes, are you?” Since he thinks I’m stealing Jonas’
clients, I might as well y along so he won’t discover my real purpose.
Zacharias’ smile disappeared as he stated, “Friendshipes first in
