B1 C15

As I traveled through the void, I looked out upon the stars. I had left, so abruptly. So very suddenly. Mania, perhaps. Guilt, most assuredly. More factors besides.

sigh. I thought I left depression for the flesh to keep. But apparently not. See, I have ruled my little section of the dynasty for millenia. Whether or not it came from my personal nature or something else, I... didn''t like to rule. By those superior, I will serve willingly. Those equal? I will decimate. It is simply in my nature I suppose.

I have many character flaws. I admit this. I''ve known for millenia after all. When one can examine there thoughts and actions over years, or in some cases see thoughts literally, I suppose it is as simple as could be to know my wrongs.

I''m a coward when it comes to interpersonal relationships. I married once... heh, ya. Not again. I also didn''t like stupidity. As in, if you don''t know what your doing, and begin to mess with my life, I will get irrationally angry. See, a few advisors and lords fell like that.

Strangely enough, I accept my own mistakes relatively easily. Hmmm. A bit of a contradiction there, I suppose. But, what can I do?This tale has been unlawfully lifted from Royal Road. If you spot it on Amazon, please report it.

All this to say, I know the reason why I feel like I''m abandoning my dynasty. It''s because I am. I... just don''t care anymore. I have immortality ahead. I don''t want to be weighed down by rules, conventions and the like.

I wish to see the galaxy, the people within, and more. Make it an adventure. Hunt a bit, join a war or 7. Who knows, really. The dynasty doesn''t need me, I think. He''ll, I pushed most of my work to my lords anyhow.

But, I would visit occasionally, simply to check. Also to get some things. I HAD left a literal ton of designs, models, and more. I wonder what would be completed...

I grabbed a holo of a red dwarf, and began its spring. Plasma, gasses and more flung all around me. As I looked, it truly was beautiful. With a wave, I gathered it''s spread mass, and pushed my hands together. It began compressing, and heating.

I put it aside. It was a simulation, and it could wait. I pulled the map up next, checking where we were. The question I had was what I wanted to do for a while. A researcher on far off worlds? A Mercenary? Perhaps a traveling bard. Hmmmm.

I glance to my right, towards a pedestal. On it, floating, was a gold coin. On one side, held a long lost dynastic ruler, the other side, a number.

"Well, as is traditional, I will let luck decide." I state, and flip.
