“That’s not it, Aunt Tess. Hope was a valuable asset in their eyes. Ourpany stands to gain much from this acquisition.”
In truth, thepany might not have gained that much, but it did not lose anything either. Furthermore, the takeover put her

and artists.
Tess looked at her in disbelief. “What about Hope? This acquisition effectively makes her one of your celebrities. | don’t agree
with it!”

company’s interest first and foremost. If they were to kick Hope out now, she would not stand to gain anything from this venture.
There was no ce for sentimentalism in business. Maia was truly out of ideas.
She video-called Errol. It did not take long for him to answer her call.

Maia was stunned. Did Hope sign a lifetime contract with Sunny Videos? This was the first time she had heard anything about it.
Why had no one mentioned it to her?
“Maia.” Errol signed again. “It’s only right that Aunt Tess couldn’t understand it. After all, Hope’s mom did a lot of bad things to us.
Aunt Tess got worked up because she cares about us.
