After dinner, Maia went into the kitchen to bake her cookies for Hans.

Starlight Entertainment had already sent their marketing and legal teams over for discussions.
‘Ms. Maia has also look into different prospects of purchasing thepany. She seems determined to purchase Neb
Entertainment.
‘However, this purchase may not be the best idea as Neb Entertainment will not be much of an asset to Starlight
Entertainment. They have been depending solely on Hope Warren as their main source of ie for years.

“Yes, boss?”
“| want you to help Starlight Entertainment with their purchase.”
“You mean to make sure the deal goes smoothly?”
“Yes, and | want you to let the public know that the reason why Starlight Entertainment did. this was solely because of profit.”

Even though a small agency such as Neb Entertainment had managed to make a name for itself due to Hope Warren, it
would be difficult for Maia to convince the board of directors to agree on the purchase just because of one artist.
This was exactly why he needed Baz to release information that Maia’s decision of purchasing Neb Entertainment was not
due to personal reasons. The main reason should be to ensure that Starlight Entertainment would be able to profit from it.

Originally, Baz thought the reason for Cedric investing a huge amount of money in purchasing Sunny Videos was so that he
could appear at The Quest''s shooting location. His assumption had not been entirely correct.
Sunny Videos was actually Cedric’s way of entering the entertainment industry and getting closer to Maia. He could also then
leverage thepany to help her get a leg up in the industry
when she needed it.
When Cedric came back into the living room after his phone call, Hans was still listening to his
music as he finished his cookies.
“Maia’s cookies are the best! One more te, please!”
Fernando took the te from Hans and said, “You''ve had a lot to eat tonight. I''ll ce them in a jar, and you can have more of
them tomorrow. Maia had also packed the remaining cookies. in a bag.”
Hans started throwing a tantrum after Fernando stopped him. “I want to eat them now!”
Cedric walked into the room just as Fernando was having a hard time. He immediately looked to Cedric for help. “Mr. Cedric, Mr.
Larkin is making a fuss again. He’s already had too much to eat today.”
Hans red at Fernando and pouted unhappily at the exchange.
“Grandpa, are you sure you want more?” Cedric looked at him with a stern gaze.
Hans turned his back to Cedric andined in a soft voice. “Why would Maia like someone. as scary as you? There are
better men out there! How dare you reprimand your own grandfather?”
When Maia came out of the kitchen, she noticed that the atmosphere was tense. She walked up to Fernando and asked, “What’s
the matter?*.
“Mr. Larkin wanted to have more cookies, but Mr. Cedric rejected his request.”
