Souls Awakening

Everyone that was still in Hawaii walked to the airport at night. Ethan was looking away from Ajesh who was giving him a glare. Kai was walking normally, with El asking him thousands of questions.

“What was that charge kick?” Thea asked Akamu, curious about how he kicked Sanzang’s Overload so hard.

“Well…” Akamu stuttered, not wanting to discuss it. El looked at him and nodded, smiling. “I’m a descendant of Maui.”. Everyone but Kai and El’s eyes widened.

“AS IN THE ONE FROM THE DISNEY MOVIE?” Ethan yelled. Akamu nodded, with a hint of disappointment that he was associated most highly with a Disney character voiced by The Rock. Suddenly the ground begins to rumble.

“Don’t worry about that. It happens every so often,” Kai told them. They all nodded, except Ajesh.

“I feel something. Anger.”. Thea and Ethan rolled their eyes, and Kai laughed.

“This is Hawaii,” he said. “The state of volcanoes? Of course the ground often rumbles,” he further elaborated. Ajesh shook his head and kept walking forward, getting to the airport. As the plane landed and came to a halt, Ethan and Ajesh walked up to the plane. The doors opened, with Lysander and Amane walking out and towards them.

“Who’re the new guys?” Lysander asked, throwing his suitcase at Ajesh.

“We’ll explain later,” Thea told the two, gesturing for them to follow her. The ground shook once more, with Ajesh looking more disturbed as he carried the suitcase.

“Where’s Sanzang?” Amane asked Ethan. Ethan mouthed “told you” to Kai and responded

“He’s in a random ass place in the world. I have no clue where he is, but he’ll get here eventually.”. Amane looked disappointed. The ground finally rumbled, and a giant dark blue arm arose from the ground, picking itself up. Ajesh dashed back, while everyone looked in shock. A giant blue man with six arms, long black hair, and a chain of skulls on his neck.

“Thank god it has some type of pants,” Ethan said, pulling out Jingubang from his ear. Thea rolled her eyes and spun her spear. Ajesh walked back, charging up a Nasht in his hand. The giant blue monster tried to crush Kai, but Kai dodged it, and jumped up. Kai ran up the monster and slapped it with Dharma Divine Soul. The monster stumbled back, but it was mostly unphased. It punched Kai with what El recognized as Nasht. Ajesh launched his attack, throwing the large energy blast into the monster''s face, causing it to stumble backwards.

The monster tried to crush him with his hand, but Ethan jumped up at the monster and extended his staff to the size of a building. Striking the monster in the head, the giant fell down, causing the ground to shake violently. Ethan changed Jingubang’s width and height to one of a mountain, and dropped it onto the giant. Standing on top of the enlarged staff, putting his hand in his pocket, he grabbed a hair and blew it into the air. The hair transformed into a clone, and jumped down to examine the blue giant, but Ajesh stopped him.

“HEY, OVERSIZED SHIRT DUDE, GET OFF MY CLONE!” Ethan yelled from the top of the staff. Ajesh sighed and disintegrated the clone with his Divine Soul Nasht.

“This is Veerabhadra. An avatar of Shiva who trampled over Indra,” Ajesh told everyone. They were all astonished, until Veerabhadra grabbed the pillar of a staff and threw it to the side. Ethan dismissed his staff before crashing into a building. Amane ran to grab something she could manifest into her grasscutter, while Thea ran up the monster and stabbed it in the chest with her spear. She activated her god’s armor as she braced for a punch from Veerabhadra’s fist.

Just then, Amane jumped in with her blade on fire, slashing at the giant. As Thea thought she was in the clear, Veerabhadra used his other arms to crush her and throw her to the side. It turned to Amane slashing and began to try punching her, but she was too fast. Ethan and Thea both ran up to Veerabhadra, Ethan with his staff and Thea with her spear and armor. Ethan summoned his cloud and jumped on it, and Thea grabbed on. She jumped off as he got to Veerabhadra’s head, and she stabbed the spear into its shoulder. Ethan went full speed on the cloud, slamming his staff into Veerabhadra’s head so hard it stumbled back a couple miles away.

Thea stabbed the multi armed beast and burst in energy, releasing all the energy that she absorbed from the punch. Just as the beast was about to fall, Ajesh used a full power Nasht. Veerabhadra fell to the ground and disappeared, leaving imprints of his destruction all across the city. Ajesh and Thea collapsed, and Ethan caught his breath. As the dust cleared, Saingan appeared, holding his palm out.

“Before you attack, let me explain myself. What you just saw was a prime example of the danger of gods. The gods destroyed my old world, and I was brought into this one. I awoke in the prime of Hellenism, and seeing all this worship for the gods that brought havoc in my world sickened me. Now, all you Novas exist, taking their powers. You can all surrender and give up your abilities, or you fight and lose your abilities. You make the right choice either way.”. El turned to Akamu and Akamu nodded. Lysander and Amane noticed and got ready for a battle.

“Your funeral,” Saingan said, before throwing a spinning gold sphere that turned the night sky to a bright gold. Lysander, Amane and El all felt their energy getting drained. Akamu saw this and noticed that Ethan was out of breath, not able to fight, Ajesh and Thea were out of commission, and Kai was too far away to fight. He sighed and went into a fighting position. Saingan’s mask eyes glowed and he summoned his triple edged spear, runned towards Akamu. He tried to stab Akamu, but he was thrown off. Akamu grabbed his head and slammed him face first into the ground. He then flipped him over and saw the mask broken, seeing Saingan’s grey eye.

Saingan stabbed Akamu’s arm, and dashed back. The mask repaired itself and Saingan dismissed it, and summoned a bow and arrows. Akamu ran towards him, deflecting the arrows being shot at him, and went in for the final punch. Just then, Saingan summoned a flaming spear and threw it at him. Akamu tried to dodge it, but the spear turned and hit him, causing an explosion. He got up, dazed, seeing a chunk of his body missing. He coughed up blood, and saw the flaming spear return to Saingain.

“This is the Agneyastra. The weapon of Goddess Agni that never misses,” Saingan explained. Akamu got up wearily and balled his hand into a fist, charging energy into it.

“If you think that’ll work…” Saingan sighed, and continued his sentence. “We’ll call it natural selection and move on.”. Saingan summoned a shield and ran up to Akamu, trying to bash him with the shield he summoned. Kai slowly walked back, seeing the sphere in the sky. Then he saw his grandfather. Kai tried to run up to the two but he tripped. Saingan got close, and Akamu released the energy of his punch. Saingan felt the force of the punch and tried to block with his shield, but Akamu broke through the shield and landed the punch right to his face. Saingan’s mask broke and it couldn’t regenerate. He grabbed his face and yelled

“That was Athena’s Aegis! How did you break it?!”. Akamu chuckled to Saingan’s frustration. El saw this with wide eyes, knowing what Akamu just did, but was unable to do anything. Akamu collapsed, and Saingan could hear his heartbeat stop.

“In a way, I feel bad. A descendent of Maui, dead right in front of me. I have no idea his name, but he was the most determined human I’ve ever met.”. As Thea and Ajesh woke up they saw Akamu’s body on the ground, bleeding. Everyone wanted to help but they couldn’t. There was a silence that to them felt as if it lasted an eternity.

This silence was interrupted by roaring flames. Saingan raised the Agneyastra and prepared to use it at full power, but suddenly a being crashed in the center of the battlefield in golden, crimson, and black light.

As the dust settled they saw it was Sanzang, in his full armor and his eyes red and gold.

“Like the new look Saingan?” Sanzang asked, dashing towards Saingan, attacking him with a Chaos Soul infused kick. Saingan dodged and tried to summon a new weapon, but Sanzang transferred the Soul from his first kick into another kick. Saingan was launched backwards, and saw the fragments of the half of the mask that Akamu broke glow. Suddenly Divine Tools rained from the sky.

“So that mask is how you''re able to store all your weapons. Smart,” Sanzang commented, clearly impressed. They ran up to each other and clashed. Saingan grabbed his fan and his bells, and used them both to create a storm of fire and smoke. Sanzang flew back from the explosion and grabbed a red gourd. He held it out and it glowed, sucking in the Divine Tools.

“What good reason could you have this? It doesn’t even suck in people!” Sanzang yelled, dashing at him for a Divine Soul punch. Saingan was hit and thrown back. He chuckled, and grabbed a pair of tambourines. Sanzang jumped back and grabbed a small wood piece. Saingan threw the cymbals at Sanzang and threw his Agneyastra.

Sanzang jumped back and threw the wooden piece above Saingan, which turned into a large boat and crushed Saingan. The flaming spear hit Sanzang, not damaging his armor but causing burns on his fingers, legs and his face. The cymbals enlarged and trapped Sanzang, slowly crushing him.

“That’ll end this quickly. Now is the Bhramastra ready for detonation?” Saingan said, looking up at the spinning sphere. He saw it and shook his head in disappointment.

Sanzang was dizzy in the cymbals, and in his mind he saw Varinzik, chained up. Next to Varinzik was Hanuman, who looked saddened.

    “Where are we?” Sanzang asked.

“This is your soul. Varinzik is chained up by the Alysida, a limiter placed upon by the gods. Now you are faced with a choice under the immense pressure of Yellowbrow’s cymbals. You can either switch places with Varinzik and he takes over, or you fuse with him, destroying his soul and making it yours, chaining yourself up” Hanuman explained to Sanzang. Varinzik smiled and laughed, looking at Sanzang, seemingly knowing the answer he’ll choose.

“I’d rather die than rely on someone else to fight my battles. The victory against Elias wasn’t my victory, and I refuse for the next battle to not be mine either,” Sanzang told Hanuman. Varinzik smirked and Hanuman smiled and nodded. Outside the tambourine Saingan approached, wanting to take it back, but then it exploded into bits. Sanzang bursted out with giant skyscraper sized wings and landed on the ground. His right wing was gold and of a bird, and his left wing was red and black and one of a dragon.

“The Wings of Eternity and Void. You may very well surpass Varinzik.”. The wings shrunk to as large as a car and the left wing turned gold and like the right wing. “Now, we’ll be finally evenly mat-” Saingan said, before being interrupted with Sanzang grabbing his face and dragging it through the ground. Sanzang flew into the air, threw him into the sky and grabbed his leg. Sanzang flew down at maximum speed and slammed him through a building. As they reached the ground Sanzang looked down on Saingan, disappointed.

“You hate Novas. You hate gods. And while hating them is wrong in itself, why worsen the world by trying to destroy them? All these Divine Tools that you’ve stolen can help improve this world.”. Saingan got up, tired, and punched Sanzang in the chest with Chaos Soul. Sanzang was knocked back a few feet but was otherwise unharmed.

“You don’t get it. I’m from the past world, the first United Divine World. The gods controlled everything, and the one who preached freedom was defeated. I had a family, a life, and it was taken when the gods wanted to destroy that world,” Saingan told Sanzang, frustrated.

“I think the weapon has enough Soul absorbed. Well let me explain what killed you in your last moments. The Bhramastra absorbs Divine Soul from the whole state, at least now. It used to use the whole world but, and he’s gone,” Saingan tried explaining, but then Sanzang flew up. He reached the Bhramastra and covered it with his wings, curling up so no explosive energy gets out. “? ??? ???????? ??? ? ????? ??????? ?????? ??????, ?????? ????? ?????, ?? ????????? ???? ????, ????? ?????? ???? ????, ???? ????, ???? ???? ??? ??? ?” Saingan murmured, causing the Bhramastra to glow and explode, turning the sky black once again.

But no destruction was caused. Sanzang appeared before Saingan could even comprehend what happened and grabbed his throat. Sanzang took him to space and used wind to create an air bubble around the two of them. “Any last words?” he asked. Saingan shook his head.

“May you attain Moksha,” he said before flapping his wings causing a wave of destructive Divine Soul to be launched.

Suddenly they were both in a white area, with Sanzang in no armor and Saingan in no armor and missing his mask.

“Don’t explain, I know your wings can absorb energy and dish it back out,” Saingan said. “That gives me more time to reveal that I knew your real identity, Sekutu.”. Saingan/Sekutu smiled and nodded, before they both walked away in different directions.

On Earth, Saznang fell to the ground. Everyone walked towards his body, Ajesh looking sadder than the rest. Then Sanzang woke up and raised a thumbs up. They all looked relieved.

“Armless Old Man, should we go somewhere? Maybe? Hopefully?” Ethan asked, and El looked at him mad.

“We’re holding a funeral for Akamu, and then we’ll go to Denmark.”.

    “Why Denmark?” Thea asked.

“He always wanted to visit. I feel like we should honor his death by going,” Kai told her, looking sadder than normal.

“Then it’s settled. Let’s go to Denmark,” Ajesh said, walking towards the airport.

“Hey! Oversized Shirt Dude! Forget the funeral? How are we doing that by the way? Cremation or like a casket or what?” Ethan yelled.
